Chapter 37 - Begun The Clone Wars Have

(SORRY I'M SO LATE! I had too cook dinner. I made black rice risotto and pan seared salmon. Came out great. I'm thinking of doing a side story in which Kai goes on a solo mission. He is becoming a knight soon so it could be like his debut as a full fledged Jedi. What do you guys think?

New question for you guys. Is there a song or smth like that that really gets your emotions flowing? For me, it's Leaves From the Vine from Avatar, Samidare from Naruto, or Language by Porter Robinson. Let me know what you guys listen to when you just need a good crying session.)

-Senate District, Coruscant-

The sun dyed the sky shades of pink and orange as it descended over the horizon. The plummeting temperatures, made worse by the light gusts of wind sweeping across the planet.

In the Senate District, there was a humongous shipyard. Currently it was filled to capacity. Hundreds of thousands of clones dotted the ground after they were transported from Kamino. In between the system armies of clones, LAATs were lined up. Hundreds of acclamator-class ȧssault ships were on the ground, awaiting their complement of clones.

On a balcony overlooking the parade, several individuals stood, overlooking the series of events. Those people were Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum, Senator Bail Organa, Vice Chair Mas Amedda, and last, but not least, Lord Draco of Kessel.

Valorum sighed and turned towards Tyler. "It really has come to this. Was there truly no other way?"

As he said this, the engines of several acclamators kicked on, shaking the ground. The roar was deafening even from miles away. The constant procession of starships drew in news drones from around Coruscant. This would surely be front page news instantly.

Tyler nodded. "Indeed, Finis. This is the price of freedom, of democracy. Unfortunately, it is only the beginning. Dooku and Palpatine will stop at nothing in their conquest of the galaxy."

Valorum shook his head. "Well, none of this would have happened if not for you. I doubt we would have achieved such a sound victory in Geonosis if not for the clone army."

Tyler raised his brow. "Victory, you say? No, not victory. The fact that this war happened is this galaxy's greatest defeat."

Valorum sighed. "You are right. Nonetheless, you have done the Republic a great service in your brokerage role. I congratulate you on the achievement."

*Congratulations! Your reputation with the Galactic Republic has exceeded 21,000. You are now Revered by the Galactic Republic!*

Valorum chuckled. "I believe with that, you are now one of the richest men in the galaxy. Now, all that is left is to thwart this conquest of theirs by winning the war."

*Long Term Quest Triggered: Defending Democracy*

*Rank: Legendary*

*Description: Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum has tasked you with winning the war. All violations of laws pertaining to war and lost battles will deduct from your reward.*

*Reward: Unknown*

Tyler sighed. "The trust you place upon me is flattering. I will do my best. If I am no longer needed here, I must report to the Jedi Temple with my padawan."

Valorum nodded. "Yes, yes, I heard the good news. Extend my congratulations to young Kai for me."

Tyler smiled. "I will. Thank you, Chancellor. I will now take my leave."

As he said this, a starfighter's engine could be heard roaring towards them. Tyler hopped up on the ledge and waved as he fell backwards. He landed perfectly in the ċȯċkpit and the glass closed.

Tyler sighed. "R2, take me to the Jedi Temple. I'm gonna take a nap."

A quick 15 minutes later, Tyler woke up to some beeping on the console. Looking around, he was in a hangar. "God, this will always be weird. It's like falling asleep in the car… but not."

Tyler hopped out of the fighter and walked towards the elevator.

When he pressed the buŧŧon on the elevator, he nearly choked. The elevator music was a remix of the legendary cantina band.

A short walk later, he was standing before the council. Beside him, in order from closest to farthest, was Kai, Anakin, and Obi Wan.

*Clack clack*

Yoda hit the ground with his cane twice. "Special day, today is. Two new knights, added to the ranks they are."

He gestured to Windu who put his hands together. "You both have more than proven yourselves. Anakin, your piloting skills are unprecedented not only in the order, but throughout the galaxy. I doubt there are any others that can challenge you."

"Kai, you are the other of the two prodegies in the order. Despite being in the shadow of the chosen one, you have blossomed into quite the young jedi. Your experience with politics and diplomacy will be indispensable in the coming years."

Windu smiled. "I now grant the both of you the rank of Jedi Knight. With this, I would also like to extend to you, Draco, on behalf of the entire council, our congratulations on you reaching the rank of Jedi Master. However, we have yet to decide if you will get a seat on the council. Although, I believe you have enough on your plate already."

*Long Term Quest Completed: Training a Padawan*

*Reward: Revered with Jedi Order, Promotion to Jedi Master, NPC Companion*

Obi Wan smiled. "Congratulations, Draco."

Tyler nodded. "Thank you, Obi Wan. And, Master Windu, you are correct with that. I'll be quite satisfied as long as the council takes my thoughts into consideration."

*JEDI ORDER ANNOUNCEMENT: Congratulations to Draco for being the first player to attain the rank of Jedi Master.*

With this, Tyler was officially ranked among the top known players in the galaxy, if not the top. Afterall, it is quite a large galaxy so anything can happen.

Tyler grinned. "I think this warrants a celebration. Obi Wan, Anakin, would you two like to join Kai and myself for a night out? We ship out tomorrow so it will be our last chance."

Obi Wan sighed. "You are right. I could use one last drink before this bloody hell comes to fruition."

Tyler smiled. "Wonderful. We must make a stop first. I'll summon a cab."

He pressed a buŧŧon on his wrist comm and the light started blinking.

Tyler pointed out the door as he swiveled around. "Let's bounce."

As they entered the elevator, Obi Wan turned to Tyler. "So, where do we plan on going?"

Tyler grinned. "Well, I thought since this is a special occasion, we could go somewhere special that I have not yet been to. It will be entirely on me of course. I recently came into a SHIT ton of money."

Obi Wan rolled his eyes. "And what is this special place?"

Tyler scoffed. "Only the most exclusive party scene in the galaxy. Ever heard of a place called Cato Bight?"

Obi Wan's jaw nearly dropped. "Wait, how can you afford to get in there? Only the executives of the galactic corporations can get in there!"

Tyler smirked. "Obi Wan, unlike you, I am not only a Jedi Master, but also the sovereign of a planet AND the guild leader of the most famous guild in the galaxy. How could they not let me in? And I'm sure that they know that if they turned me away, one of my fleets would surely roll up to convince them otherwise. They do have some shady operations going on there."

Obi Wan sighed. "So if we are going to such a place, I can only imagine what the stop we need to make first will be."

As he said this, the doors to the elevator opened up to the hangar. Once the doors were open, a luxurious stretch speeder could be seen. A familiar face was sitting in the front, dressed in fine silk fabric. He looked quite fashionable.

Tyler smiled and waved. "Goby! How are you, old friend?"

Goby waved back. "I am well, brother. How is my favorite Jedi?"

Tyler smirked and struck a pose. "Masterful! Anyways, take us to the finest clothing store you know of. Price is not an object. I just need to have us look quite dapper."

Goby grinned. "I know just the place. Any other stops?"

Tyler gave him a look. "I have a favor to ask."

Goby sighed. "What do you need?"

Tyler put on his puppy dog face. "Could you fly my ship to Cantonica in the Corporate Sector? We will only be there for the night."

Goby scoffed. "I don't have time for something like that my friend. Regardless, that flight would be at least 20 hours."

Tyler grinned. "My friend, you are in for a treat. My engineers have just finalized a prototype of a new hyperdrive. It can supposedly travel at five times the standard speed. In addition, you will be paid handsomely."

Goby stared at Tyler as he seemingly poked at the air. Suddenly, he got a notification on his phone. He lifted it up and his eyes lit up. 100k credits just rolled into his bank account. "My friend, you are in luck. It just so happens that my night has cleared up. I'd be happy to be your pilot."

Tyler made a grand gesture. "Wonderful. Let's be on our way. We have no time to waste!"

While Goby was familiarizing himself with the controls of the prototype ship, Tyler was busy. He had already gotten dressed so he left the three Jedi in his penthouse to finish preparing for their night. The ship was actually quite magnificent.

With the prototype being epic, it is most probable that the finished product would be legendary quality and worth millions of credits.

He had a special delivery to pick up. For years now, Tyler had his eyes on a 500 year aged single malt scotch from Alderaan. The reason he had not splashed out the cash on it yet was because it was only available for purchase in full barrels. The price was a whopping 450 million credits. The barrel was about to be delivered to the guild hall.

As Tyler reached the lobby, he was amazed. The elder council had really done some work here. It was even more magnificent than before. A dark oak, hardwood floor now covered the room. Several high pile area rugs covered various parts of the floor such as in front of the reception desk, in the lounge areas, and a runner leading inside from the entrance. The rugs essentially formed a path leading from the landing platform to all of the important accommodations. They were colored with various reds, blues, and beiges.

The walls were now composed of huge marble bricks with golden metal separating each brick. They contrasted beautifully with the dark rugs and the dark oak flooring. In addition, the desks for the reception areas were made of solid marble blocks, carved for their particular uses.

To top it all off, there was a top tier sound system installed throughout the room. No corner of the room was spared from the highest quality of sound.

As he was admiring the room, an attendant rushed over. "Lord Draco, how may I be of service?"

Tyler smiled. "It's good to be the king."

The attendant raised his brow. "How do you mean, my Lord?"

Tyler waved his concerns away as he looked at the man's name tag. "Trion, I am expecting a delivery. Might it have arrived?"

Trion nodded. "Indeed it has. The courier made quite the commotion. It was delivered via a heavily armed transport. No one dared to stand in their way aside from the elder on duty."

Tyler chuckled. "It's nice to hear that someone around here has some balls. Where is the package?"

Trion smiled. "It is in Elder Toshinori's office. Right this way, my lord."

Tyler nodded as he followed Trion. "So, how is it working here? And be honest. I don't wanna hear some bullshit where you suck up to me."

Trion sighed. "If you insist, my lord. Despite your apparent suspicions, I swear that this is the best place I have ever worked. The accommodations are great, the pay is amazing, and the guarantee of safety due to working for such an organization is priceless. It has allowed me to feel comfortable starting a family."

Tyler raised his brow. "That is wonderful. How many children?"

Trion smiled. He was in pure bliss that such an esteemed individual actually cared to ask questions about his measly life. "As of last week, two, my lord."

Tyler froze. "You had a kid last week, and you're here?"

Trion nodded. "Indeed. I am doing this for my child's future."

Tyler scoffed. "That will surely change. After you bring me to Toshinori, feel free to take the rest of the month off with full time pay. I would not have remembered such a thing as paternity and maternity leave if not for you. Thank you, Trion."

Trion bowed. "I have no words to thank you enough, Lord Draco."

Tyler waved away his words. "No worries. It is a basic treatment that I want all my people to have."

Trion then opened the door to Toshinori's office.

The Japanese ȧssassin stood up. "Draco sama, how are you my friend? It has been a while. Oh! I heard the good news, congratulations are in order!"

Tyler nodded. "Indeed it has, and thank you. I am well. How are you doing?"

Toshinori smiled. "I am doing quite well. There is a delivery for you. I was just about to send it up to your penthouse."

Tyler chuckled. "If you knew what was in the box, you'd understand why I am retrieving it myself."

Toshinori smiled. "Well, it would be wrong of me to not take this opportunity to celebrate with you. A toast is necessary."

Tyler smirked. "When was the last time we shared a drink together?"

Toshinori chuckled as he grabbed a second sake cup out of his inventory. "Probably a year. Between your escapades and then spoiling your girlfriend, you have not been around."

Tyler scratched the back of his head watching the cup fill with hot sake. "Yeah, I like to keep myself busy. I wouldn't be myself if I wasn't getting into trouble."

Toshinori handed the cup to Tyler. "Well, Draco sama, to your promotion and the success of Limitless."

Tyler smiled after they both clanked cups and downed their share in one gulp. "Ahhhh, delicious as always. Next time I am in town, let's grab some sushi and drinks with the missus. I have yet to meet her."

Toshinori sighed. "And I thought no one had found out."

Tyler smirked. "There is almost nothing that happens that I don't know or can't find out. Anyways, I'll take this with me! Sayonara!"

Toshinori bowed. "Sayonara, Draco sama."

Tyler quickly found himself back in his room. He placed the barrel in his vault after tapping it and filling an empty bottle with some scotch. He wanted some to go.

Kai was waiting by the door with Anakin and Obi Wan. "Master, are you finally ready to go?"

Tyler smiled. "Of course, little one. Let's head out."

Once they were in the private hangar, Tyler stopped them before entering the spacecraft. "Before we head out, there will be two other guests accompanying us. They should be here… now."

The door of an elevator slid up. Out stepped two gorgeous women, both brunettes. They carried with them an atmosphere of royalty. Afterall, they were two of the most important women in the galaxy.

Tyler smiled. "Emelia, Padme, nice of you to join us. How was your spa day?"

Padme sighed. "It is sad that this is the last respite that we will have for a long time. We needed this day, right Emelia?"

Emelia laughed while covering her mouth. "Yes… we.. did."

Tyler smiled. "I'm glad. Well, you both look dashing. Anyways, let's not delay any further. It is already 6:30. If we make good time, we can be inside by 11."

-2 hours later, somewhere on the Hydian Way-

By this time, everyone was well into the pregame. Even Obi Wan was a bit tipsy. It was quite the interesting sight. However, a certain someone had to make things interesting.

Tyler smirked. "So, Padme, I heard you were planning on making a trip to Naboo soon."

Padme nodded. "Yeah, I will need an escort due to the war though." She snuck a gaze at Anakin.

Tyler grinned. "Well, how about we do it right here instead of on Naboo?"

Padme raised her brow. "What are you speaking of, Draco?"

Tyler chuckled. "Your wedding, of course. I presume you would want it to be secretive, small, and intimate after all."

Anakin almost fell out of his chair. As he settled himself, he locked eyes with Padme. "I'm not opposed. It's not quite the royal estate, but the only thing that matters is that we are together."

Padme slumped in her chair. "This is not how I envisioned it at all." She then noticed Obi Wan's frozen expression. "Obi Wan, do you have something to say?"

Obi Wan shook himself out of his stupor. "The council will never approve of this. It is against the code."

Tyler scoffed. "Obi Wan, you know as well as I do about the special circumstances us four Jedi are in. We have been enlightened to the fact that the code is wrong."

Obi Wan sighed. "I guess you are right. Anakin, don't expect me to save you if the council finds out."

Tyler clapped his hands twice. As he did so, a bottle of champagne arose from the chilled compartment within the bar. "Well, let's get on with it. I am technically a king so I can marry the two of you."

Padme laughed. "You were the only person I was expecting to crash our wedding. I never envisioned that you would be the one marrying us."

Tyler shrugged. "What can I say. Anyways, come come. Stand in front of me, both of you."

Padme and Anakin stood up and faced each other in front of Tyler. Out of his inventory, he pulled out two rings. Both were forged from beskar steel. Anakin's was embedded with a band of solid sapphire in the middle. Padme's was embedded with a band of solid, pink diamond in the middle. He handed Anakin's ring to Padme and vice versa.

Tyler looked to Padme. "If you don't mind, can we do the abridged version so we can celebrate?"

Padme chuckled. "I'm sure we all want to get back to drinking."

Tyler nodded. "Very well. Do you, Padme, take this idiot as your lawfully wedded husband, till death do you part?"

Padme nodded. "I do."

Tyler turned to Anakin. "And do you, Anakin, take this troublemaker of a senator as your lawfully wedded wife, till death do you part?"

Anakin nodded. "I do."

Tyler smiled. "By the power invested in me, I declare you husband, and wife. You may kiss the bride."

-GE-

In classic Draco fashion, their ship arrived at the VIP landing pad without any prior authorization. The ramp extended downwards and Tyler walked out with Emily's arm locked with his. Anakin and Padme followed behind them. After them was Obi Wan and Kai. They seemed to be getting along quite well.

An attendant approached the ship with a squad of armed guards. "Sir, you are not permitted to…"

Tyler locked eyes with the attendant. "You were saying?"

The attendant was struggling to find her words. "I… I... Lord Draco. I was not informed of your visit."

Tyler waved her concerns away. "This was decided on a whim. I trust we are welcome?"

The attendant nodded vigorously while shooing away the guards. "YES! Achem. I mean, Yes, of course. Please, follow me."

Emily pecked Tyler on the cheek and he smiled. "Traveling with you will never get old."

Tyler shrugged. "I'm just glad you're here for me and not my money."

Emily nudged him. "Oh come on. If I was here for the money, I would have left after just a few years of not being proposed to."

Tyler grimaced. "How long has it been?"

Emily laughed. "Almost 10 galactic years, honey."

Tyler laughed nervously. "Damn, it's really been that long, huh?"

Soon they arrived at the VIP reception area. There were wait staff holding trays of orderves and alcohol.

The receptionist smiled. "Welcome to Canto Bight, Lord Draco. How may I be of service?"

Tyler leaned against the counter. "I would like to purchase a villa. Please choose the largest one available that is close to the casino. Make sure the furnishings are tasteful. You can put it on my tab."

The receptionist nodded. "At once. Enjoy your stay!"

A guide then brought them into the casino. "This is our final stop on the brief tour. Here is the counter where you can exchange credits for chips. The tables are just up ahead. Lord Draco, a representative will locate you shortly to give you the keys to your villa."

Tyler nodded. "Thank you." He slipped 100 credits into his pocket.

The guide bowed and then walked away.

Tyler turned to Padme. "100 wasn't too cheap of me, right?"

Padme laughed. "I'd say that is an average tip here."

Tyler raised his brow. "Have you been here before?"

Padme shook her head. "Not this casino in particular, but I was here several years ago."

Tyler spun around at that. "Well, without further adieu, let's enjoy our stay."

-2am, Balcony on the Top Level of the Casino-

Tyler and Emily were overlooking the sprawling village below. Street lights lit up the area and it made for quite the beautiful scene. It was somewhat quiet with the occasional fit of laughter from a group of partiers walking out of the casino.

Tyler's arm was around Emily. "I wish every night could be like this."

Emily nodded gently. "It would be fun but we both have day jobs. Well, I guess they aren't really just during the day." They laughed at that.

Tyler smiled. "The galaxy never sleeps..." He gave her a seductive look. "And neither should we."

Emily blushed and looked away from Tyler. "I think I like the sound of that." Suddenly, she felt a tug on her arm. She looked back at him and froze.

Tyler was on one knee and holding her hand. "Well, from that reaction, it would seem that you really thought that I forgot how long we have been together. It's about time we become the most powerful couple in the galaxy. Emily, will you marry me?"

Emily was speechless. "I… I… yes! Yes of course!" She was frozen as he slid a gorgeous ring onto her finger. Like the Skywalker couple's, it was also forged from beskar steel. However, this one was engraved with intricate designs. In addition,

She grabbed his face and pulled him up before locking lips with him in a passionate kiss. "Villa?"

That was the only word Tyler needed to hear. "Do you even need to ask?" He slid his hand down to her lower back before lifting her up like a princess. "Let's take our leave, my lady." He jumped up using the force and hopped across the rooftops to his villa. The remainder of the night can be found on the hub. ;)
