Chapter 24 - Remembrance

News spread around the galaxy very quickly. A new Mandalor, this frightened many worlds near the Mandalorians star system. The two candidates vastly differed one was a man who was secretly behind a terrorist group. While another saved a planet from being taken by the Trade Federation. Nearby worlds began openly supporting the New Mandalorians' claims for Diesel as the new Mandalor.

--Galactic News Broadcast--

"This man cannot stay out of the news! He has basically appeared nowhere, saving Naboo. Now he's stepping up to prevent Pre-Vizsla from becoming Mandalor. Truly a Hero vs Villain moment! There hasn't been this much excitement floating around for a long time now! This is Jeffers and we will see you next time!"

--Naboo--

Eventually the news arrived on Naboo. When the Naboo heard that their Hero was involving himself in another war. This time to help his people, from the clutches of a terrorist. The people began to feel motivated again. It was their turn to return him a favor.

The United Naboo Coalition began a call of volunteers, ex-resistance fighters began signing up immediately. Diesels Military Academy was temporarily closed down and all teachers have begun preparing. The support from the planet was unnaturally high. The United Naboo Coalition told the people they would be sending out their two newly outfitted Naboo Space Droppers. This would be the first live-field test for them.

(Just in case people are misunderstanding, Diesel is not the actual leader of Naboo. Although, it sounds like it with the way he talks. The people of Naboo just have an extremely high respect for him, and the current party existence is because of him.)

--Back on Mandalore Diesel--

"How are the preparations coming along Duchess?"

"We are mostly ready. Obviously since this was such short notice we weren't exactly prepared for this."

"Padme, how is Naboo coming along? Was there any complications?"

"Actually, no the planet was overwhelmingly supporting you and Duchess Satine. We actually have to turn away volunteers."

"Ambassador what do you mean I thought Diesel told them that they were coming to support."

"Duchess I think you misunderstand, Diesel isn't our leader although his words are heavy. Everything will be completely done with volunteers. Other than his Military Academy, he doesn't have his own powerbase. Think of it like this, he is Naboo's Mandalore right now. We take care of ourselves until he calls."

Both girls look towards Diesel. "So what's the actual strategy, it seemed to us that the main focus on this is the Naboo sh.i.p.s."

"I'll let Ruray explain the exact details to you, but we are gonna use the sh.i.p.s as a way to pinpoint insert troops deep into enemy territory . The main force will hold the defensive line, while elite special op teams hit strategic targets behind enemy lines. It'll be extremely dangerous for them, but it'll cripple the lines of Death Watch."

"What we do know is that Pre-Vizsla shouldn't be able to fight a prolonged war unless he was a huge backer. In that case he should be pretty aggressive with his battles, so I believe your theory sounds correct."

"Thank you Duchess, being realistic they most likely have a backer. Otherwise they wouldn't suddenly decide to declare war."

"And I'll give you the locations of the Death Watch warehouses, and strategic locations, on the condition Mandalor gets to have its former glory back." From the balcony a girl with red hair walks in with two others wearing the signature armor of Death Watch."

"Bo-Khan! What are you doing here!"

--Death Watch HQ Pre-Vizsla--

"The amount of aid we can give you is limited. The shipment of weapons and other resources will soon arrive."

"Soon I'll rule over all of Mandalor. When I take what's rightfully mine we will help you defeat the Republic."

"Let's not underestimate Diesel again, both you and the Trade Federation have done so in the past and both suffered humiliating defeats. Prove yourself to be far more useful than them and I promise you'll have the honor and war you dreamed of.

"
