Chapter 106 - The Third Target

As I was thinking about the devil, she contacted me finally. Her timing was incredible though.

"Sakamaki?" I heard her voice echoing in my mind.

"Yeah, I can hear you." I replied.

"So… you've been slacking off lately." She said in a tone that reminded me of our chemistry teacher.

"Yeah, I was thinking about that too." I said.

"Well… so it's time for your third target." She announced. Now when I have successfully completed the task of capturing two targets, this word didn't intimidate me anymore.

Completing targets and getting another one has become a part of my life now. I don't feel nervous or anxious as I used to when I first heard that I had to make these said people fall for me.

Still love was an uncertain thing and one can never be sure about whether or not the person in front of them has fallen in love with them.

"Ah… I was waiting for it…" I said with a sigh as I remembered that she won't help me except giving me some vague information.

"You'll again tell me the name and appearance only, won't you?"

"Teehee!" She said in a cute voice. No wait, it wasn't cute. It was annoying as usual.

"You may as well continue…" I said in a cold tone.

"Come one, don't be so grumpy about it… I will try to help as much as I can." She said and it felt like she had an awkward smile plastered on her face as she said that.

"I wouldn't call that helping… but okay." Knowing that it's no use to argue with her, I gave in. I don't know why she can't help me. And I still remember something like the contract binding her that slipped through her mouth. Something was definitely fishy.

"What was the last part…? Are you making fun of me?" She asked in a harsh tone, trying to be intimidating. She used to be intimidating when I first saw her in the dark with nothing but her crimson eyes glaring at me.

"Of course I wasn't making fun of you…"

"Yeah, you better not." She sounded happy.

"I mean you're already a joke so…" I added and waited for her reaction. It was fun teasing her.

"Sakamaki…" She said my name in a slow and threatening manner but I replied to her with a small smile.

"Teehee!"

"Don't Teehee me, Brat!" She scolded me.

"Who's grumpy now? Huh... Devil-chan?" I asked with much sarcasm in my voice. I think if I was in front of her right now, she would have thrown hands at me.

"Shut up… you've been annoying." She let out a breath.

"Anyways… Your new target is Tsubakihara Naoto." She continued.

"Who?" I asked as I never heard of that name. Considering my first two targets being from my class, it was a bit surprising.

"She isn't your classmate." She said as if I didn't know that.

"Well… No Shit!"

"Uh… She is from class 3-3."

"So she is a senior."

"She is pretty good looking, and is a member of the Kendo club in your school." So Senpai is a member of the Kendo club. I have to think of ways to approach her. I have no relation to Kendo whatsoever.

"And?" I asked for more details.

"Well… she has quite some boys after her but her athletic feats are even better than some of the boys in her club." So she is quite skilled in her techniques or is she physically stronger than the boys? Also something caught my attention.

"Her club?" I pointed out.

"Yeah… I forgot… she is the president of Kendo club." She said awkwardly, realising that she was about to mess up if I didn't point that out.

"How can you forget an important thing like that?" I sighed.

"My bad… jeez!"

"And what else?" I asked in hope that she would tell me something more.

"Well you can find her at the dojo during lunch time. She has long black hair, as dark as the night sky and her eyes are dead like yours." She laughed as she said the last part.

"The last part wasn't necessary."

"I was kidding, they are not really dead… it was a metaphor." She said with a chuckle.

A metaphor? Dead eyes? That didn't make any sense.

"Huh?" I said in a confused tone.

"Well see you later then." She closed the portal before I could question her further.

"Oi…"

So, Tsubakihara Naoto from class 3-3. The president of Kendo Club and a stunning beauty with the strength that surpasses even boys. Quite the prominent features she has.

Approaching this one is going to be quite difficult. It was finally time for Kizhashi to do her work.

I took out my mobile and texted her.

"Hey." She didn't reply nor did the text get read. I glanced at her and she was purposely not seeing the texts.

"Hey." I decided to spam her.

"Hey."

"What!?" She replied finally, and definitely pissed off.

"I need your help."

"Already?" She replied after a few moments.

"Yeah… Do you know anyone named Tsubakihara Naoto?"

"Not really, why?"

"She is a senior."

"A senior??" She replied and I waited for to continue since it looked like she might have an idea who she is.

"That Kendo Club girl?" She replied back.

"Yeah" I affirmed that.

"Ok… what help do you need?"

"I need you to gather information on her."

"What sorta?" She asked and I told her the specifics that I need the intel regarding. I sent her a detailed text with proper outlines so that she doesn't have any problems while searching for them.

"Why do you need these? Are you a stalker?"

"Shut up and do what I told you." My text got read but she didn't reply anything for a few moments.

"Hey! Say it nicely." She texted back I didn't bother replying to that.

"Hey!"

"Why are you leaving me on read?"

"Please?" I replied with an emoji.

"Ok, now it's good." It seems like everything will be a bit easier with her help now. She was quite popular and I'm sure she had her sources to gather the information.

But the fact she is popular and probably interacts with so many people has a down side. She might not know who has an eye on her in her so-called group of friends. Considering the possibility of her mobile getting in someone else's hand or someone accidentally peeking in her mobile and checking her chat with me would be really bad.

"Hey?" I texted her again.

"What?" A reply came almost instantly.

"Take a screenshot of the text I sent you and delete this chat with me." I said.

"Why?"

"Just do it." I replied.

I have to be careful with my actions because I have an interesting plan and I don't want any plot holes in that.
