Chapter 114 - Slow Mystic Sandstorm

"Impossible!" Blurted Ibrahim.

"We have superpowers dude, the word impossible should have long left your vocab," chided Will.

Ibrahim and all those watching couldn't understand. Just how was Will's ice resisting sands of time? The answer was actually pretty simple. The moment the ice melted it was frozen again, at a microscopic level. Thousands of Will's partitions were observing and monitoring the scimitar.

Will's strongest control over water had reached the limit of what was possible at his level, thanks to his many other skills which acted in tandem. Not to mention that Will wasn't simply using water, and Alexa was the only person who noticed.

'This boy, he is using frigid qi! Not only can he summon water qi and freely manipulate it, but his control also extends to frigid qi as well?'

Controlling the form of matter and controlling its state were two very different things. Will wasn't just creating his swords from water then freezing them, he was essentially creating ice from the water molecules in the area around him, directly skipping the liquid state.

Frigid qi was a special kind of ice qi that made ice with unique qualities. It was an energy of extreme yin and very hard to control. As it fell under the water element it was naturally in Will's domain of power. But knowing you might be able to do something and doing it are two different things! Will's ability to tap into the power of frigid qi made his ice far more solid and gave it some magic resistance.

Alexa looked around and noticed that the area was abnormally humid. At first, she dismissed this, then she recalled when Will had amassed massive amounts of water qi. Which in turn affected the environment!

'Was he preparing for this? Or was he planning something else?'

Before she could complete her line of thought, Ibrahim shouted.

"Enough!"

The latter disengaged from Will and jumped back. He plunged the spike of sand into the ground and shouted, "Mystic Sandstorm!"

Within seconds, Will's surroundings had turned into a sandstorm. It was an incredible sight. High on above, Alexa and co were standing in mid-air. This was one of Alexa's skills, Sky Platform. It created a solid base for people to stand on in mid-air. In her arms were Letty and Duke. She kindly put Letty down while Duke was unceremoniously chucked sideways.

Alexa didn't have to signal to everyone for them to evacuate, as the team from the Dragonheart Empire was familiar with Mystic Sandstorm. Hence when they saw Alexa move they followed suit using their own means. Letty and Duke had no idea what it was, so Alexa had to remove them. The battle had been happening at one of the many open spaces with many buildings around it. Despite this, the whole free space before was now filled with sand, sand from a raging sandstorm.

Mystic Sandstorm was an Area of Effect skill that covered an incredibly large area. Not only that but the requirements in terms of qi to activate it was very high.

Alexa's eyes squinted at the storm below.

'There is no way Ibrahim can use the skill at level 74 unless…he has opened the first door! That means he is now all in!'

The concept of meridians was the main cultivation system before the system came. Each meridian, specifically the 12 doors, was a sign of your cultivation level. The fact that Ibrahim had opened his first door at a young age made him a prodigy.

There was one fact know by all-powerful users.

"You don't have to have a door opened to pass level 100, but no level one hundred user has not opened a door!"

Such was the standard, if one was powerful enough to rise and become level 100, then one had no doubt opened their first Door!

Even after opening a door, one has to practice with opening them. At first, even after the first time, a lot of concentration and effort is required to open it again. Level 125 was another benchmark in that all users at this level could open their first Door at will.

'Opening his first door at level 74, just how much of his power can he actually use?'

Alexa gazed down in apprehension, unfortunately, no one outside to see what was happening below…

….

'So let me get this straight.'

Will looked around, trying to gather his bearings. He had lost his blindness long ago and was fully accustomed to his eyes, but he could barely see his own hand in front of him.

'It not only blocks one sight and overloads sound, it makes smell pointless and also affects one's sense of balance. Not to mention the winds here are insane, if I had a slightly weaker constitution I would have been picked up long ago. But the biggest problem…'

Will raised his hands. The scimitars were long gone. Will brought out a few bobs of water and did some random movements.

'It's also making my connection to my water molecules weaker. This is annoying but certainly more interesting.'

Will let out a toothy grin as he looked at his hand. Within the sandstorm, Ibrahim was like a shark in water, and Will was his prey. Ibrahim wanted to end this quickly because he could only keep up Sandstorm for another 5 minutes. But at the same time, he didn't rush, because he wanted to attack at the opportune moment, when Will's guard would be at its lowest, after being affected by the sandstorm.

Will's visage was vividly imprinted in his memory forever. That bestial intuition and his prodigal skill with the sword, not to mention.

'He is a Martial Harmony expert!'

Ibrahim had no choice but acknowledge Will's skills. The longer Mystic Sandstorm was in effect, the more powerful its restrictions became. Ibrahim was waiting for the 5th minute before he made his action. When the storm was at its strongest!

Will could also sense that Ibrahim's qi became far more fervent the moment he activated this skill.

'So either he used a berserk skill or he opened the First Door. I'm leaning more toward option 2. It's way more similar to when I do it but its a bit…'

The moment Will was thinking this, Ibrahim chose to attack, a horizontal strike to his back! But the blade was caught by Will's bare hand.

'Slow!'
