Gunwoo’s stylist, manager, and the makeup artist said their farewells to Heju and Gunwoo.

“Good work today!”

“We’ll see you tomorrow morning at breakfast. Have a good night.”

They returned to their hotel rooms, which left Heju alone with Gunwoo. They happened to be staying on the same floor, so they got on the elevator together.

An awkward tension engulfed them. Normally, they would’ve chatted about this and that, but the atmosphere felt so heavy that Heju couldn’t say a word. It was Gunwoo who finally broke the ice.

“You didn’t even say I did well today,” he grumbled.

“Good job,” Heju replied quietly.

“Wow, that sounded really sincere.”

Heju could feel Gunwoo’s eyes on her, but she refused to turn towards him. Looking straight ahead and staring at the elevator door, she did her best to look relaxed. But she was failing miserably, because both of them knew very well how nervous she was. Heju found herself pathetic for acting this way.

But she couldn’t help feeling so anxious. Even her breathing was irregular at this point.

Ding-

The elevator door opened and Gunwoo got out first. Turning around, he asked her,

“Aren’t you coming?”

Heju followed him without a word. Gunwoo’s room wasn’t too far away from the elevator. He entered it first and began taking off his jacket.

Ba-dum.

“…”

Heju, on the other hand, remained outside the door. Gunwoo watched her looking obviously anxious. Heju had always looked so elegant and cold, yet right now, she was trembling nervously. He had never seen her like this before, so he couldn’t help smiling. Undoing his cuff buttons, Gunwoo suggested,

“Please come in. Why are you standing there like that?”

Unlike her, Gunwoo looked so relaxed. Heju’s lips twisted into an ugly frown. She managed to enter his room and closed the door behind her. But when she refused to move any closer to him, he walked up to her. When he got close, Heju couldn’t help her leaning back against the door for support.

Gunwoo’s eyes were so intense. Heju looked away, unable to handle the heaviness of the situation. She had never seen him as a man before. She met him when he was so young that to her, Gunwoo had always been one of the young actors she managed. He was her client and nothing more, so why…

Why was her heart beating so fast right now?

“It’s time to settle your bill.”

Settle her bill? Heju smirked at his choice of words. She was just an employee at this agency while he was the big star. So it was ironic that he was suggesting she owed him anything. Heju asked,

“You want to have sex with me that badly?”

“Of course. I worked for 14 hours non stop today for this, so I’m going to get what I deserve. You owe me this,” Gunwoo smiled widely as he undid his shirt buttons. Every time his hands moved, the hard muscles on his arms flexed deliciously.

“Chief Seo,” Gunwoo called her quietly.

“What, Lee Gunwoo?”

“Let’s be honest here. You came here because you want this too, didn’t you?” he asked.

“What?”

“Think about it. The contract penalty will obviously be my responsibility. You know I’ll end up having to pay for it. Even if the CEO insists on you paying it, it’s not your responsibility. You won’t be liable for it at all,” Gunwoo explained curiously.

Heju had to admit that he was telling the truth. She certainly wouldn’t have to pay the penalty for Gunwoo’s broken contracts. But… there was a good chance she might have to quit her job. In fact, the CEO had already threatened that if she didn’t fix this situation, he would make sure she could never work in the entertainment industry again.

Knowing her CEO, Heju knew this wasn’t an empty threat. She was certain he would ruin her career in this field. Looking up at Gunwoo, Heju pleaded,

“Please reconsider. I really don’t want to lose you like this.”

“Stop saying things you don’t mean. I wish you could be more honest,” Gunwoo replied.

“This job is incredibly important to me. I don’t want to give it up for something like this. I know you’re talented and you’re financially stable, so you can always quit. You can also restart your career at any time, but I…”

“You look so anxious, Chief. I think we’ve talked enough. I came here to have sex with you, so I’m afraid I won’t change my mind,” Gunwoo said to her firmly.

He leaned towards her with his arms on either side of her against the wall. Heju was now trapped, and as he got closer, her heart began to pound uncontrollably. Gunwoo was so close that she could see his Adam’s apple bobbing as he gulped.

Heju tried to convince him once more. She implored,

“Do you really think it’s possible for us to date? And how could you threaten me just because I rejected you?”

“That’s why I’m doing this. You said I’m just a little boy to you, so I’m trying to appeal to you by showing off my manly charm. What other choice do I have?”
