Chapter 50: Young Master Mu Only Listened To Miss Gu

There was a calming effect in the medicine. He fell asleep soon after taking it.

Gu Shinian did some tidying before she went back to the bed, took a hot water bag and thrust it under the blanket, placing it on his abdomen.

“Is his gastric problem getting more and more serious?”

The butler shook her head. “Young Master Mu has been leading an irregular lifestyle. He always works until two or three in the morning. He goes to bed without having any meals. He drinks frequently for his business meetings. I heard from Young Master Jing that he recently started smoking heavily again.”

Gu Shinian frowned. “Is he courting death?”

The butler glanced at her, swallowing back the words on the tip of her tongue. “Perhaps, he felt that it would be just as well… to die like that.”

“What?” She did not hear it clearly.

The butler shook her head. “N-nothing. Miss Gu, take care of Young Master Mu. I will go out first. If there’s anything please call for me.”

“….Okay.”

Qin Yishen came over specifically because she heard that Qin Muchen was sick.

She was about to go in when she saw the butler come out of the room.

“How is he?”

“He had some porridge, took the medicine and is sleeping.”

“…Ate a meal and took medicine? Why is Qin Muchen being so cooperative this time?” He usually would not care no matter how serious his illness was.

He would not take medicine or be cooperative, he would only sleep.

This time, he actually cooperated and rested!

The butler covered her mouth and smiled. “Oh, it is all thanks to Miss Gu.”

The butler felt relieved.

Qin Yishen felt happier than her. She pursed her lips. “That’s good. Finally, there is someone who can stop him from acting arbitrarily.”

Since there was someone capable of taking care of him, Qin Yishen did not disturb them. She asked about her brother’s conditions and left.

Gu Shinian did not sleep for the entire night. The next morning, she was already being carried by someone to the large bed.

The other side of the bed felt cold to the touch.

“…Where is Qin Muchen?”

Gu Shinian sat up on the bed and looked around. She got off the bed and went downstairs.

“Good morning, Miss Gu.” The butler greeted her with a bright smile on her face.

Gu Shinian swept her gaze around the living room before she asked, “Where’s Qin Muchen?”

“Oh, Young Master Mu has gone to SEC.”

“…But he has gastric pains.” Why did he go to work?

The butler shook her head. “Young Master Mu does not take a minor illness to heart.”

Gu Shinian went upstairs feeling gloomy. She was halfway up the stairs when she went back down. “Butler, can you help me to prepare a meal box of rice.”

“In the future, send someone to get the meal box from me. I will prepare more nutritious food for him.”

“If he keeps having irregular meals, he will have gastric ulcers sooner or later.”

“Oh, Miss Gu cares a lot for Young Master Mu.” The butler could not help but tease her.

Gu Shinian blushed, as she tried to come up with a valid reason. “Of course not. I am worried that the good genes of my future child will be ruined because of his gastric problems.”
