Chapter 197: A Blessed Child(3) - [Antika]

The Negative Element, according to Kaleyx, was an element that was present everywhere.

It embodied the negative aspects of things, but not just that. It could make anything, be it energy or item, weightless or lose momentum.

It could change the state of every single thing and concept.

This was the overpowered element that even Kaleyx found hard to control!

...…..

After the [Nero Shower] ended, Jake dropped down the [Steps of Regression] and looked at his surroundings.

Due to the attack, everywhere was misty, but with his [Akashic Eye], Jake could see Kieran, or rather, Kieran's energy.

The latter energy was piling up massively to the point where it seemed Kieran would not be able to control it later.

Jake instinctively shouted at Kaleyx, "Duck!"

The two of them dropped to the ground just in time as a huge blue blast erupted at them.

*Boom!*

The blast was relentless, continuing for minutes, threatening to finish the duo once and for all.

Being the owner of the attack, Kieran watched as he continuously channeled more energy to fuel his [Antika].

He failed to notice when a figure sneaked up behind him and slashed him with a sword.

Suddenly, he stopped his attack as he felt pain where he was struck.

Focusing on his attacker, Kieran manifested a whip-like tentacle from his body and 'whipped' Jake, his attacker.

Jake easily dodged that, along with the other whips that came his way.

In no time, Kieran resembled an octopus with eight tentacles sticking out of his body. Yet, he couldn't successfully swat Jake.

It became even more burdensome when Kaleyx joined Jake to fight him.

He realized his tentacles were already ineffective and deactivated them.

Gathering a large amount of energy and infusing them into his body, Kieran decided that he wouldn't be a stationary target.

*Zoom!*

He jumped at Kaleyx, who always controlled his attacks.

With his superior strength, he was able to keep her at bay, but not for long.

Every time he tried to attack, he would feel his attack force being withered away like a dying tree.

At one time, he got confused and was kicked in the lower chin by Jake's soft heel.

He wasn't given time to recuperate before Jake punched his fist into his stomach and initiated a strange technique which made Kieran to not be able to separate from Jake's fist.

After Jake was done, Kaleyx embedded her daggers into Kieran's wounds and exploded them!

*Boom!*

Kaleyx dusted her bloodied hands as she watched Kieran explode away, "That should do it, right?"

She spat out a large amount of blood as she relaxed her body from the tension.

It wasn't easy fighting Kieran. Even punching his body could break her bones.

Yet, she had to pretend like it had no effect on her when it clearly did.

Honestly, all she wanted right now was to rest her quaking bones and soak them in a hot tub.

"He is still alive," warned Jake.

With his [Akashic Eye], he could see Kieran wobbly standing up and pointing his hand at Jake.

He then dropped his hand and looked at the sky.

Understanding his cornered situation, Kieran did something unbecoming of himself.

He roared like a berserker!

*Roar!*

The energy around him went haywire as the entire lake descended into a frenzy.

Kieran's calm black eye gained a hot tinge of red as he crossed over to the side of insanity.

His hair became deep blue as the aura he kept hiding within himself finally escaped.

*Roar!*

Instantly, he pointed his right hand at Jake and blasted his [Antika].

The attack was so fast that Jake couldn't even react.

He got drowned in the blast as it bored itself into his body, breaking his bones in the process.

With his left hand, he blasted a second [Antika] at Kaleyx, but she had already learned from Jake's misfortune.

Quickly, she ran away from the blast and thought of her next plans.

She knew that she did not have enough energy to repel the blast and she probably could not engage Kieran in close combat anymore.

She was in a pinch!

She didn't have Jake's [Akashic Eye] that would be able to help her in this sort of situation.

'I should have learned other techniques,' sighed Kaleyx.

She was in constant motion as the blast was chasing her.

'It is...chasing me. That's it,' smiled Kaleyx.

She ran in a circle around Kieran and due to his stationary position, prohibited him from ever reaching her.

Taking the gap in his attack, Kaleyx dashed at him and dug one of her daggers into his skin.

Of course, it didn't do anything, but she already expected that.

She distanced herself and chanted, "[Regressive Flux]"

Following her words, Kieran suddenly spasmed and temporarily deactivated his blast.

This was the effect of Kaleyx's technique, [Regressive Flux]. It used her negative energy to invert the positive state of any living thing, making them experience different mental and physical ailments at the same time.

It was impossible to shake off.

This gave Jake the chance to run away and meet up with Kaleyx.

He looked at Kaleyx for a while before focusing on Kieran.

"That's it? No thanks?" complained Kaleyx

Jake eyed her, "Thank you."

"Well, forget that. How do we end this?"  Kaleyx pointed at Kieran.

"Hmmm...His weak points are covered in energy. He is filled with tremendous energy and likely wouldn't be entering the state of deficit in a long time. It is too risky to bait him to waste his energy....." trailed Jake.

"We will need to do it the good old way, right? The way normal warriors fight," sighed Kaleyx.

"Yes, but getting close to him would not end well," replied Jake.

"Then, I will take care of it. Plus, he is under my technique. It would surely open an opportunity for us. How is your body?" asked Kaleyx.

Jake replied, "Not good. I can barely move my bones."

His nose was constantly dripping with snot and he kept coughing out water from his body. He reckoned that if he had stayed inside the attack for a few more minutes, he might have died!

Klaeyx brought out two potions from her [Spatial Ring] and gave one to Jake while drinking one herself.

After a few seconds of feeling the warm liquid at work, she motioned to Jake, "Let's go"
