Chapter 323 - Still About The Kids

At ten o'clock at night, Haikal was still in the hospital accompanying Alex with Anna because Sinta had called and said that Elsa had said she would not be coming home tonight. It made Anna feel relieved and not in a hurry to take Haikal home.

"Did Elsa spend the night with Carlos last night?" asked Alex. He was still sitting on the bed while Haikal was sleeping beside him, hugging his chest.

"No, sir. Last night she is on the house but ..." Anna seemed hesitant to continue her words.

"But what?" asked Alex.

"Mr. Carlos was at home until morning. I heard the sound of his car coming out of the yard when I just woke up," answered Anna with an uncomfortable look. She felt sorry for Alex who was sick even though his wife was making out with another man even to the point of staying overnight. But she's just a babysitter, can't interfere in their relationship, and just hopes she doesn't get fired as a result of her employer's divorce later.

Alex sighed, then glanced at Haikal who was sleeping so peacefully on his chest. He felt very unwilling if his son would be raised by a traitorous mother and stepfather, even from now on he had shown an attitude of indifference. The man turned to look at the babysitter who faithfully looked after and took care of his son.

"Anna, because my phone crashed after falling during a fight yesterday, can I borrow your phone for a moment?" he asked.

"Uh, of course, sir," answered Anna then reached into her jeans pocket to take the smartphone and then gave it to Alex.

"Thank you." Alex took the phone and tried to contact someone on WhatsApp.

Until several times trying to contact, Alex finally connected with that person.

"Hello, Tony. Are you busy?"

"No. Who is this?" someone asked over the phone.

"I'm Alex, your brother."

"Gosh... Finally, you contacted me again after so many centuries. How are you? Is everything going well? I mean... your life in Indonesia is still comfortable, right!"

Alex sighed, looking at Anna who immediately looked down. "I'm broke and about to get divorced. Please help me to sell my inheritance there. I need a lot of money to hire a lawyer and start a business here. I want to start a new life with my son."

"Why don't you just come back here?" Tony asked.

"I'm more comfortable here because Calvin is also here and always with Bryana. I want to keep watching him grow up close, even though I'm no longer Bryana's husband."

"Okay, this time I understand. But why are we going to divorce Elsa? Is it because you are poor, or is it because you are ambiguous?"

"Long story. To be sure, I beg you to help me. I hope you can sell my inherited land at any price, and after that come to Indonesia next week. I'll tell you everything when we meet," Alex said again, glancing at Anna who always turned her head away when he looked into her eyes. Ah, why are they looking at each other?

"Okay then. I'll set the time."

"Hmm."

Alex immediately hung up and returned the smartphone to Anna. He glanced back at Haikal who was comfortable in his arms. 'You have to be patient for a while. After Daddy recovers, we will always be together,' he thought then kissed his son's forehead.

"Sir ... Looks like we have to go home now before it's too late and we will already have a taxi or bajaj," said Anna.

"Bajai?" Alex looked at Anna with raised eyebrows.

"If there is the only Bajai, I will take a bajaj rather than not being able to go home. I am worried that if Mrs. Elsa suddenly comes home and sees Haikal not at home and finds out that I brought him here, I am afraid of being fired, sir," Anna explained innocently...

Alex nodded in understanding. "If you are fired, when Haikal's custody falls into my hands, you will be the babysitter again," he said with a warm smile.

"Is that true?"

"Of course. Because he's very close to you." Alex turned to look at the table where his wallet was and then stretched out his hand to take it. He took a credit card and several hundred thousand rupiah bills, then handed them to Anna.

"Take this money and credit card. Use it when Haikal needs something when his mother isn't around. Take care of him while I'm not home from the hospital," said Alex.

Anna immediately accepted the credit card and the money because she didn't have enough money to pay for a taxi. After that, she carried Haikal and took him back to Elsa's house.

___

Bryana and Dean took Johnny and Soraya who were going home with their son to the terrace.

"Next time, you have to come to our house," said Soraya while Johnny was already walking towards the car holding his son.

"Yes, Soraya." Bryana nodded and smiled.

"Then I'm going home now," said Soraya.

"Careful," said Bryana.

Soraya immediately got into the car while Dean and Bryana were still on the porch. Dean put his arm around Bryana from the side and they waved at Johnny's car as it headed out the gate.

"Let's go in. I want to lie down," said Bryana, releasing Dean's arms. She quickly walked back into the house.

"Does it still hurt?" Dean asked following Bryana.

"Not really. But I've always wanted to lie down today. I feel tired both physically and mentally," Bryana replied languidly.

"Then you go into the room first. I'll follow later," Dean shouted.

"Yeah..."

Bryana immediately climbed the stairs to the top floor while Dean rushed to the kitchen.

In the kitchen, Dean opened the instant food supply cupboard and found Bryana's favorite instant noodles. He immediately made it by adding eggs, then made tea in a jumbo-sized glass.

"Eating a bowl for two doesn't seem like a bad thing," Dean muttered with a smile. he put the cooked and delicious instant noodles into a pretty box-shaped bowl and then brought it along with a glass of tea on a shiny red tray.

___

In the room, Bryana immediately changed clothes. She wore thigh-length shorts combined with an oversized white t-shirt and let her hair flow beautifully. She is very cute and looks different from a girl.

Check...

Dean entered the room, he saw Bryana who was sitting on the dresser's chair seemed to be removing the makeup on her face.

"Honey. I've made your favorite instant noodles," said Dean, rushing over to Bryana and looking at her from the mirror. "You're wearing my t-shirt?"

"I like it. It looks comfortable and thin. I'm not too hot to wear it," said Bryana then got up from the chair and looked at the table near the sofa where a tray containing a bowl of instant noodles and a jumbo tea was located.

"Why did you cook instant noodles for me? When I didn't ask?" Bryana asked.

"Erm..." Dean rolled his eyes. Then looked down at Bryan. "Because I wanted to eat together. I remember. The first time you had cravings, it was instant noodles that you wanted."

"Do you want me to have more cravings?" Bryana asked, walking to the table.. For some reason, she remembered her conversation with Soraya about her husband's desire to have a daughter. Ouch, don't get pregnant again, Aidyn is still a baby!
