Chapter 275 - Their Hatred For Alex

Dean approached Bryana in Aidan's room. He saw his wife lying on her side while breastfeeding her baby who might be sleeping while Sofia was still playing with her smartphone beside her.

"Honey," Dean called, following Bryana up onto the king-size bed which was covered with white sheets.

"Hmm," said Bryan.

"Are you mad at me?" asked Dean.

"No. There's no reason for me to be angry with you. You've been too kind and understanding as a husband and father figure for our children," Bryana replied looking at Dean who was also looking at him intensely.

Dean stroked Aidyn's back hair which was damp with sweat. "I thought you were disappointed and angry that I allowed Alex to see Calvin."

"He deserves Calvin. It's just that ... I'm always in a bad mood when I see his face," Bryana said angrily.

"I know you must still be shadowed by your dark past. You have to be patient and strong because there is a future that you have to think about more," said Dean then kissed Bryana's forehead, turning to kiss Aidyn's chubby cheek.

"He's asleep, but still suckling," he said.

"Babies are always like that. He just sucks, doesn't suck milk at all if it's like this," Bryana explained, rubbing Aidyn's sweaty forehead.

Dean turned to glance at Sofia who was playing a game. "Honey. How was your school today? Are you in the same class as Calvin?"

"No," Sofia answered, still looking at her smartphone.

"That means you have to be with him during breaks," Dean called out, teaching Sofia who was a little older than Calvin a mature attitude.

"But Calvin should be friends with other boys, not always with me. he can be made fun of by other friends if she always comes with me," Sofia said in her cute voice.

"You have to stay with Calvin for a while until he has new friends," Bryana said.

"It's true what mommy said. You can't be selfish and forget about Calvin even though you have new friends. Okay?" this time it was Dean who spoke.

Sofia just nodded.

"Now go to your room and study. Don't play games too much," Dean exclaimed.

Sofia just kept quiet because she was too busy playing games about cooking. Hmm, she's starting to be stubborn.

Bryana sat up and carefully carried Aidyn's tiny body into the crib, saying, "You better go with Calvin and Alex. I'll let Sofia take care of it."

"Hmm."

Dean got out of bed and walked out of the room.

Elsa walked along with the neatly lined benches complete with tables in a dimly lit restaurant dimly lit with orange light. Her eyes fell on the figure at the far end of the room waving at her. She immediately approached the figure with lazy steps and a look of disapproval.

"Actually, why did you invite me here?" She asked.

"Please sit down," Carlos called. "There's no way you're going to keep standing like that. I just wanted us to chat over dinner."

Elsa exhaled roughly, then sat down on a white chair opposite Carlos. She glanced suspiciously at the man who looked always neat in his black suit, then glanced around the deserted surroundings. there was only her with the man, and on the corner table, she had a bottle of champagne and a few servings of sumptuous food.

"You booked this restaurant just to have dinner with me?"

"I just want to make you comfortable, because I know that you will be gossiped by people or the news media gossip if anyone finds out we are having dinner," Carlos explained as he poured champagne into a beautiful glass and then placed it in front of Elsa.

"I think this is too much," said Elsa.

"It's a common thing for me because you deserve this kind of special treatment."

"What is the real purpose of you inviting me here?" Elsa asked.

"I just wanted to make you happy," Carlos replied as he took a fork and knife wrapped in tissue and started slicing the steak. "Let's eat. I know you must be hungry."

Elsa began to take a knife and fork, slice the steak in front of her and eat it casually. She lowered her face, feeling bored because now her mind was focused on Alex who was at Bryana's house.

"I know your marriage with Alex is not doing well," Carlos said after a few minutes of silence.

"How did you know?" Elsa asked.

"Of course I know, because he always praised Bryana in front of me, even before the time he disappeared because of being held captive by Gustave's son," Carlos replied exaggeratingly.

"You know that but you keep quiet. You are both assholes, never think about a woman's feelings." Elsa stopped her eating activities, switching to drinking champagne that had been provided by Carlos.

"I just don't want to disappoint you and fight with him, but it turns out that you know by yourself the ugliness of your husband and doesn't call me a jerk, because I play with women without any woman being my lover or wife all this time. I'm a single man, you know that, right?" Carlos said as he poured more champagne for Elsa.

"Since he came back, he's been more and more disappointing. Only Bryana and Calvin in his mind, I feel no longer considered a wife. He stopped paying attention to me, even always against me," said Elsa, letting out all the annoyance in her heart. The thought of selling herself for Alex seemed to make her heartache even deeper.

"I know I was wrong because I kicked him out before he was kidnapped, but I showed my concern for him. I sacrificed myself by selling myself to you for the sake of his freedom, but after he was free and met me, it turns out that he always shows his concern for Calvin and Bryana. this hurts too much, Carlos!"

"He's not good for you, Elsa. I gave him a job, but he also often takes advantage of opportunities from his position to approach other girls using the facilities I provide," Carlos said in a lie as if deliberately adding to the wound in Elsa's heart.

Elsa became increasingly irritated, then took the champagne prepared by Carlos. She drank impatiently and poured more champagne into the glass.

"If you know, why not stop it?" asked Elsa curtly.

"Because he's my friend. I feel bad for meddling in his personal affairs too much," Carlos replied.

"You guys are compact and jerks!"

"Elsa. Don't judge me always badly. if you know, I have liked you for a long time, but I realized you are my friend's wife, I know myself enough not to approach you," said Carlos reaching out his hand to touch the back of Elsa's hand.

Elsa withdrew her hand. "But you asked me to satisfy you. it means you are ignorant and betrayed Alex!"

"I can't waste a chance when you need my help. I like you too much, Elsa. so I took the chance to just touch your body, but I feel it's not enough for me," explained Carlos with a sad tone.

"I know Alex is not good for you, I can make you happier with me," he continued, grabbing Elsa's hand again.

"What do you mean?" asked Elsa curtly.

"I want us to be in a relationship," Carlos replied.

"Don't be crazy! I am Alex's wife, your friend's wife!" Elsa exclaimed again releasing Carlos' grip on hers.

"But Alex thinks of his ex-wife. He doesn't think of you anymore," Carlos said.

Elsa sighed, trying to stay calm even though her heart hurt a lot considering that Alex only cared about Bryana. He took the champagne again and drank it down to a few glasses.
