Chapter 177 - Enigmatic Chat

A few days passed, today at five o'clock in the afternoon, Bryana and Dean welcomed the arrival of Monica and Raymond who would sleep at their house before leaving for Switzerland tomorrow. they chatted together in the living room while enjoying snacks typical of Bandung brought by Monica.

"So, will you go on your honeymoon or go to London first?" Bryan asked.

"Honeymoon of course," replied Raymond who sat back on the sofa with his right hand on Monica's shoulder.

"Where are you going on your honeymoon?" Bryana asked again.

"To Switzerland. Being alone in a cold place will add intimacy," Raymond replied then glanced at Monica. "Yes, honey?"

Monica immediately blushed and said, "It's not like that. I want to go there because I want to see the snow. They say there are a lot of snow tours."

"I've never been there either because my youth wasn't fun," Bryana said languidly. She glanced at her growing belly. "If I wasn't pregnant I would go there and the kids would love it."

"We'll be there when our child is born," Dean said calmly.

"When our child is born, we will focus on taking care, until it is a few months old, it can only be invited to go abroad."

Raymond fell silent guiltily glancing at Bryana. "If Alex hadn't come to mess with the house and threaten to take Calvin, maybe you guys could have spent more time on your honeymoon in Australia."

Bryana let out an exasperated breath, then changed her position so she was lying down a bit with her long legs resting on Dean's thigh. "My belly will churn if I remember him. Moreover, his wife is pretentious beauty. Ugh, I shudder!"

"Don't be like that, Briana. your child can resemble her if you think about her or constantly hate her. Let her do whatever she wants, as long as it doesn't disturb our comfort, we'll just let it go," Monica said casually.

"Listen to your sister-in-law, Jill," Raymond called.

"My baby will only look like me or Dean m," Bryana said with disapproval. She was really sensitive, while Dean instead got off the couch.

"Where are you going?" Bryana asked.

"To the workspace. I have a file to check," Dean replied, holding out his hand. "Would you like to come along?"

"No, I want to chat with Monica," Bryana replied.

"Alright then." Dean looked at Raymond and Monica then said, "I'm going to the workspace first."

Raymond even got up and said goodbye to sleep, while Monica chose to chat with Bryana. they talk about women's problems as much as possible because tomorrow they will be separated and who knows when they will meet again.

In a monochrome workspace, a middle-aged man is staring at a photo of his daughter years before her death. "Dear, your husband is already happy with another woman, he doesn't even allow dad to take your daughter. I promise, one day I will make your husband's wife suffer more than you!"

"Mr. Gustave," someone called from the doorway.

The man who turned out to be Gustave turned his chair around to stare at the door. "What's wrong, Lucas?"

Lucas walked up to Gustave and asked, "I think you've been keeping them happy for too long. Our business situation is getting worse because you are experiencing a decline in investment. You must immediately take the property out of Sofia's right, to continue our business."

"For a while stop the business, because I want to look clean in the eyes of that stupid Dean. Move on to making a mess at Stefan's company, because he won't tell Dean that I'm his enemy," Gustave said casually, then placed Clarissa's photo on the table.

"If we cooperate with Alex, you will easily get all of Calvin and Sofia's inheritance rights. And the gold mine will be yours, then you can pass it on to the son you have not acknowledged," Lucas exclaimed as if he knew everything about Gustave.

"Alex is a stupid man who only relies on emotions. If we work with him, he will know that Calvin's wealth is more abundant than he thought. And he will have ambitions to own it, and that must not happen. Calvin must die after we take the treasure away from him," said Gustave full of ambition. His gaze was so serious he stared at the photo of Clarissa on the table.

"Bryana or Dean can't enjoy the treasure. I've even prepared a plan to keep them apart, then I'll kill Bryana!" he continued with a fiery look.

"But she's your nephew, sir. And Clarissa's death had nothing to do with her," Lucas reminded him.

"But she was part of the one who killed Clarissa, I'll take revenge even more cruelly!" said Gustave furiously. "In two months we'll do it all, and I'm sure we'll succeed in wreaking havoc on the Stevan Darlene family or Dean. I will destroy their harmony!"

"You have to be careful, sir. Because Dean and Raymond are getting smarter against us. You have to think this through!" Lucas exclaimed.

"They are shrewd but they are weak men. I'm sure they'll be confused with us," Gustave said confidently. He got up from his chair and walked towards the door. "You take care of our business which is still viable. Let this matter be my business!"

"Yes sir."

Lucas got up from the chair and glanced at Clarissa's photo. "I don't know what demon possessed your father's brain. I can only obey him because I need money."

In the middle of the night, Bryana woke up feeling hot. She got out of bed and walked to the door that led to the balcony, then opened it and stepped over to the balcony railing to get some fresh air.

Bryana was silent as she stared at the sky filled with millions of stars, then felt her belly which was getting bigger and made her breath start to suffocate. "If mom was still alive. I would be happy to share happiness, share stories with her. God hurt me too much by taking her, but God gave me a good husband so that I always feel comfortable and rise from adversity."

"Mom must have heard you in heaven. She saw the happiness you feel right now," said Dean, who turned out to be following Bryana. he hugged his wife from behind and asked, "why haven't you slept yet?"

"I'm hot, a little hungry too," Bryana replied.

"Night air isn't good for you, honey. We'd better go in and I'll get you some food," Dean called out.

"Later, I still want to be here for a while," said Bryana again looking up at the sky. She remembered that Dean also had memories of a dark past.

"Do you think Clarissa is also happy in heaven, after seeing us together?" She asked.

"She must be happy because you are a good mother to Sofia," Dean replied.

"Oh yeah, sometimes I think that Sofia and I have similarities even though it's not very clear, even Clarissa's photo is a bit similar to mine." Bryana turned to face Dean.

"I think so. when I first met you. But I thought it was a coincidence."

."It's a very strange coincidence, even though I have never met the late Clarissa during her life, but I feel that I feel sad when I hear her life story, even you know I was able to be close to Sofia for the first time we met. Is it possible that we have a relationship?"

"I don't know, but if you two are related like sisters, you should have known each other since childhood," Dean said nervously. "I don't want to talk about this, I'm going to the kitchen to make milk for you."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you think of her and feel sad again," Bryana said sadly, hugging Dean. She buried her cheek into his husband's chest.

"I'm not sad, and you don't need to apologize," Dean exclaimed, stroking Bryana's hair gently as he stared into the night. 'I just can't regret my stupidity for failing to be a husband. it scares me of failing to be a husband who can protect you.. That terrible shadow always terrifies me.'
