Chapter 384 - Vania's Decision

"Where are you going, Vania?" Max asked over the phone.

"I don't know. I don't want to continue living in a state like this. Being a second wife is underestimated, but my husband is the one who behaves badly," said Vania crying.

"Okay. I'll pick you up."

"But, Max..."

Not finished speaking, suddenly the phone line was disconnected. Vania put her phone on the bed then continued packing her clothes. She was desperate to leave even though she didn't know what her fate would be, who had nothing or a family other than her child who was still a toddler.

.---

Dean is undergoing an examination by a bone specialist. The cast on his leg had been removed, making him feel comfortable and loose although it still hurt a little. He sat on the edge of the bed with his legs stretched out.

"Doc, when can I walk again?.my legs don't hurt too much but they can't support me at all." Dean started to complain while Bryana sat on the couch and stared at him.

"If you are diligent in therapy, within a few weeks, you will be able to walk again," replied the doctor who wore a white shirt combined with blue jeans, looking young in his 30s, smiling warmly at Dean who was too worried.

"You have nothing to fear...Your injury isn't too bad, it'll get better soon."

Bryana got up and walked over to the doctor and asked, "Can my husband do therapy directly with you?"

"Sure, Just come to my clinic 3 days a week," replied the doctor.

"Okay then. I will invite my husband to do therapy at your clinic," said Bryana then sat beside Dean, holding his shoulder.

"You can get through all of this," she said glancing at Dean who only nodded in response.

"I'll give you painkillers," said the doctor as he took some medicine tablets from his black bag which was located on the table near the couch. He walked back to Dean and handed the medicine to Bryana.

"Thank you, Doc," Bryana said as she accepted the medicine.

"drink it every two days regularly and keep the diet to speed up healing. Don't do too much activity that makes the legs too heavy," explained the doctor casually.

Bryana nodded then put the medicine on the table near the bed while the doctor immediately said goodbye to go home after making an appointment for a therapy schedule with Dean.

Max stops his shiny black car in front of the skyscraper where Vania's apartment is. The gray-faced man with a thin beard growing on his jaw got out of the car and immediately walked into the apartment.

Drett... drett...

His phone which was in his black coat pocket rang. Max grabbed the phone while walking and saw that it was Carlos who called him. Instead of answering, he turned off the number.

'From today onwards, I'm no longer your confidant,' he thought coldly, imagining the face of the bastard Carlos who always played with women. He walked down the corridor until he entered the elevator then pressed the button for the seventh floor.

After a few minutes, the elevator opened...

Max immediately walked out down the corridor until he arrived at the door bearing the name Vania and immediately knocked on it.

Check...

"Max," said Vania who had opened the door.

"Come with me. We're going a long way from Jakarta," Max called out with a flat look.

"Eh....where?" asked Vania awkwardly. She never thought she would run away with her husband's confidant. Uh ... almost the same as Elsa.

"We're out of town. I have enough money to support your life with your child," Max replied then walked in without waiting to be invited.

Vania turned to look at Max who was walking towards the sofa. "Max... why are you doing all this to me? I'm not sure I can repay you."

"I'm doing this because I care about you...if you just move around Jakarta, Carlos's family will find you and take Vano because he is the heir to Carlos's estate," explained Max. "But if you want the treasure, I won't force you to come with me," he continued.

Vania thought for a moment imagining that if Vano was taken by Carlos's family, he would also remain the same as Vano, who was a jerk and did not act well as a husband, or on the contrary, Vano was taken and could not see her again. right now, only Max can help her, because he has neither family nor close friends.

"Where's Vano?" Max asked.

"He's still sleeping," answered Vania.

"We'd better go now. I'm worried that Carlos will come here and stop us," Max shouted back to his feet.

"But, Max... Are you serious about this decision?" asked Vania still not sure.

I'm serious. I don't have a family, so I have nothing to lose if I help you. You're like family to me even if you don't think so," Max replied with a sad look.

Because Max continued to convince and she had no choice, finally chose to immediately go to follow where Max would take her. Vania immediately carried Vano while carrying a small bag, took him out of the apartment followed by Max who brought two suitcases and a medium-sized bag.

After receiving an explanation from the doctor, Dean was not as gloomy as before. Right now, he was eating accompanied by Bryana in their room.

"Honey," Bryana called, sitting next to Dean, playing with her phone.

"Hmm," said Daan while eating the Rica Chicken and Balado eggs.

"I want this," Bryana exclaimed, showing her a photo on her phone of a skewered meatball grilled and drizzled with peanut sauce and soy sauce.

Dean smiled faintly at Bryana. "Are you craving?"

"Who knows...I want it but the location of the restaurant is quite far," Bryana said in a spoiled tone, then leaned her head on Dean's shoulder. "Is it okay if I go with Dany or Louis?" She asked.

"No," Dean answered firmly.

"Why?" Bryana asked.

"I'll go wherever you go even if my feet are like this," Dean explained with a flat look. For some reason, he was afraid that Bryana would be taken by another man because he was sick.

"A long trip will make you tired, then your feet will hurt," said Bryana.

"Then just order it to be delivered to the house," said Dean then continued eating.

Bryana was silent for a moment and then focused on his phone. She tried to find the contact number of the restaurant manager but there was none.

"They do not provide delivery services," said Bryana disappointedly.

Dean sighed, then reached for the phone that was next to him. He immediately tried to contact someone without responding to Bryana who was craving.

"Dany, please go to the room. I have a mission for you," Dean said seriously when he connected with Dany.

"What mission, sir? Do we have a new enemy?" asked Dany over the phone.

"Mission to obey a wife who is craving," replied Dean, glancing at Bryana who immediately smiled shyly at him then returned to focus on the phone.

"Gosh, it turned out to be a mission. All right, I'm going to your room right away."

Dean hung up the phone and looked at Bryana saying, "Even when I'm like this, I won't let you not get what you want."

"Hem, I usually prefer to eat live in restaurants..but since you can't accompany me there, I'll ask Dany to buy a lot and eat at home with the others," Bryana said with a shy smile. Besides, it's weird if Dany goes all the way to just buy one serving.
