Once Jun Xiaoyao and the others entered the underground palace, they started to explore.

The underground palace housed the Supreme Treasures, which were enveloped in a thick, eerie, grey fog.

Even a fool would know by now that this site of the Supreme Treasures had probably changed somehow. Danger lurked from all directions.

Inside the underground palace, a rotten smell lingered in the air.

The rooms looked like ruins being shrouded in fog. The chilly wind blew through the cracks and holes on the walls.

Several jet-black corpses were scattered all across the floor.

The strangest thing about it was that the corpses were covered in black scales. It was as if they had mutated after death.

As many cultivators entered the underground palace, these mysterious, sinister corpses suddenly sprang to life. They viciously charged towards the cultivators with their bloodshot eyes wide open.

Their fingernails were sharp as blades, easily tearing through people’s bodies.

Cultivators at the Celestial Bridge Stage were no match against these corpses at all.

A great number of people were slaughtered so quickly.

However, Jun Xiaoyao effortlessly smashed the zombies that came after him.

He didn’t step in to help other people; their well-being was none of his business.

Jun Xiaoyao was not a righteous hero, nor was he a nanny for all the other cultivators.

Jun Xiaoyao was never convinced that people who were more capable than others were obligated to shoulder more responsibilities.

Jiang Shengyi, Jun Linglong, and Jun Xuehuang were walking behind Jun Xiaoyao. None of them had to do anything about the zombies.

It was not because they weren’t willing to contribute. They simply were never given the chance to get involved.

Jun Xiaoyao cleared the way for all of them. The zombies couldn’t stop him at all.

Long Bichi and Xiao Chen had deviated from the main path and disappeared from everyone’s sight a long time ago. Nobody knew where they went.

Jun Wanjie didn’t follow Jun Xiaoyao either.

Ji Xuan glanced at Jun Xiaoyao out of the corner of his eye. Thinking that Jun Xiaoyao wasn’t paying attention to him, he left the main hall in a flash.

After Ji Xuan left, Jun Xiaoyao’s lips curled into a disdainful smile.

He didn’t want to make a move on Ji Xuan; it was not the right time to do so just yet.

Over time, the number of cultivators decreased dramatically.

Most of them were slaughtered by the zombies.

“Xuehuang and Zhangjian, you two go look for Ji Xuan. Whatever you do, though, don’t act rashly and alert him,” Jun Xiaoyao said.

Jun Zhangjian and Jun Xuehuang were both surprised upon hearing Jun Xiaoyao’s order.

Was the divine child planning to hunt down Ji Xuan?

At that realization, Jun Zhangjian and Jun Xuehuang couldn’t help but feel sorry for Ji Xuan.

Whenever someone is targeted by Jun Xiaoyao, it usually ended badly for them.

Jiang Shengyi opened her mouth and said in a concerned tone, “Xiaoyao, are you going to attack Ji Xuan? He has the Hand Bone of the King of the Saints. If he tries to fight you to the death…”

Jiang Shengyi was worried.

She wasn’t afraid that Jun Xiaoyao would be defeated by Ji Xuan.

She was more worried that Jun Xiaoyao might be hurt if Ji Xuan risked his life and fought out of desperation.

“Is Sister Shengyi concerned about me?” Jun Xiaoyao asked with a smile.

Jiang Shengyi bit her lips and said, “I’m your aunt. Who else would care about you if I didn’t?”

“Haha, there is no need for that at all. No one from the younger generation in the Huangtian Mystic Realm could ever pose a threat to me. Not now, not ever.” Jun Xiaoyao beamed with confidence.

What he said was completely true.

Along with his unparalleled talents, he also had the system to support him.

If Jun Xiaoyao still doubted himself under such circumstances, he would be considered a real coward.

Jiang Shengyi rolled her eyes at Jun Xiaoyao, but she also cracked a smile.

Jun Xiaoyao looked even more charming when he exuded confidence.

Jun Xiaoyao flapped his sleeve and said to the others, “Let’s get going. There are plenty of treasures in the underground palace. We can’t let any of them go to waste.”

Afterward, Jun Xiaoyao rode the Nine-headed Lion and checked out the underground palace with Jiang Shengyi.

Jun Zhangjian and Jun Xuehuang stealthily followed Ji Xuan.

On the other side of the area, Xiao Chen was walking through the intricate underground palace and exploring. As he walked, he wore a cloak with the hood on.

Xiao Chen heard the Master Blue Dragon’s excited voice say in his head, “Xiao Chen, walk to your left then straight ahead. I have already sensed the ancient dragon skeletons. You’re so close!”

At this point, not even the Master Blue Dragon could maintain his composure.

The Master Blue Dragon could rebuild his body if Xiao Chen obtained the ancient dragon skeletons along with some other materials.

Not only could the Master Blue Dragon return to his peak state, but he might also be able to achieve the breakthrough and advance to become the Highest Supreme. Once that happened, he could do essentially anything.

If a demi-supreme cultivator such as Master Blue Dragon could hardly keep his emotions in check, an inexperienced young man like Xiao Chen would be worse at it.

Xiao Chen’s eyes were glittering with elation as he began moving faster.

After a while of killing several zombies and a few cultivators, Xiao Chen entered a place that looked like a limestone cave.

The underground cave was extremely spacious.

Xiao Chen looked around while gasping for breath.

Five gigantic sets of dragon bones were placed in the massive cave.

Four of them were dark golden in color. Several complicated and abstruse runes were branded onto the surface of the bones.

The four sets of golden dragon bones still exhibited great majesty and dignity. Xiao Chen could hardly resist the urge to kneel and worship them.

“Are these the ancient dragon skeletons?” Xiao Chen was so excited that even his fingers were trembling.

He could tell that the ancient dragon skeletons were exceptionally powerful; such power would definitely help him transform.

In his head, however, he heard Master Blue Dragon yelp in surprise.

“Could that be… it’s the Supreme Skeleton of the Patriarchal Dragon!”

“The Supreme Skeleton of the Patriarchal Dragon?” Xiao Chen was baffled. He turned his eyes to the last skeleton.

The fifth one was different from the other four golden skeletons. With a soft luster, it looked like it was carved out of a giant piece of jade.

Millions of mysterious and powerful runes were engraved onto the bones, sparkling like the stars in the sky.

As stately as the first four golden skeletons were, they paled in comparison to the fifth one. One might imagine them to be officials in front of the emperor.

Master Blue Dragon frantically replied, “The Supreme Skeleton of the Patriarchal Dragon is the skeleton left behind by the supreme of the Dragon Clan, a descendant of the patriarchal dragon. It is far more powerful than the ordinary ancient dragon skeletons!”

As Xiao Chen took in a deep breath, he also blinked his eyes in astonishment.

The descendant of the Patriarchal Dragon… How impressive that must be!

The Lair of Zulong was named after the Patriarchal Dragon.

The real Ancient Emperor of Patriarchal Dragon could even overpower some of the human ancient emperors!

Of course, the Supreme Skeleton of the Patriarchal Dragon in front of Xiao Chen was not a purebred Patriarchal Dragon.

The Lair of Zulong probably didn’t have skeletons of purebred Patriarchal Dragons.

Despite that, even the slightest connection to the Patriarchal Dragon would make this Supreme Skeleton of the Patriarchal Dragon invaluable.

“This is amazing! With this, I’ll continue to improve!”

Breathless, Xiao Chen was shaking from excitement.

If he could incorporate the Supreme Skeleton of the Patriarchal Dragon while cultivating the Guide to Dragon Transformation in Blue Sky, he would become unbeatable.

By then, he would be able to at least prevail over the younger generation of the Huangtian Mystic Realm.

“Xiao Chen, we can’t stay here for too long. Pack up these skeletons quickly,” the Master Blue Dragon reminded him.

“You’re right,” Xiao Chen said in agreement.

All he wanted to do right now was to take away the five sets of dragon bones and find a quiet place to absorb them. Afterward, he would be able to finally settle the score with Jun Xiaoyao and get his revenge.

Just when Xiao Chen was about to pack up the dragon bones, however, he heard a woman say, “Those are… ancient dragon skeletons. Is that… the Supreme Skeleton of the Patriarchal Dragon?!”
