Chapter 375: Fourth World: Say Yes To The Dress

When Zhao Hua entered the doors of the bridal shop, she used her family name to explore without an appointment only to find her sister admiring herself in a wedding dress in front of several full-length mirrors.

The representative praised her like a sea lion after receiving some fish. "Is this the kind of dress your fiancee likes?" asked the representative while passing over a glass of champagne?

Zhao Huangzhi took a sip of the bubbly liquid and smiled brightly. "Of course, he likes it. He doesn't care what I wear because he says I look good in anything," she said before twirling one more time. She was both graceful and elegant but possessed a heart of stone. "He is the most powerful person in the entire country and I am about to be his wife."

Zhao Hua's face sank when she realised who this imaginary fiancee was. Everything to do with Su Xin was linked to Qie Ranzhe. It was then that she figured it out. Zhao Huangzhi used her to get Qie Ranzhe from the very beginning.

From that humiliating scene at the hotel to this risky move of breaking into Qie Ranzhe's apartment. She had been manipulated by Zhao Huangzhi to do her bidding while ruining her reputation in the Zhao family.

Well, since she used a man to bring her down it was about time they played a game called role reversal. Zhao Hua walked over to her sister with the brightest smile she could conjure up under the circumstances and sat down on the couch. "Sister, you look stunning," she said gazing at her with sparkling eyes.

Zhao Huangzhi was surprised to see her so she picked up her dress and sat next to her ready to receive the major scoop. Judging from her expression, things seemed to have gone well. "So how did it go?" she asked while beckoning the bridal shop representative to bring over another glass of champagne.

Having lured the fish towards the bait, Zhao Hua smiled timidly like a blushing bride and said, "We, we are going to be together. It's finally going to happen."

Zhao Huangzhi placed her palms on her cheeks squirming like a little school girl and asked, "They broke up?"

The smile on Zhao Hua's face vanished as she pursed her lips as though withholding some information. Zhao Huangzhi's chest tightened assuming the worst but she still had to ask.

"Tell your big sister what happened. You know I am here for you," said Zhao Huangzhi brushing away some stray strands of hair on Zhao Hua's forehead.

The representative brought over a glass of champagne but just as she was about to hand it to Zhao Hua, Zhao Huangzhi took it and waved her hand for her to leave. She then handed the glass over while rubbing her sister's arm in a comforting way.

"Drink this, it will make you feel better," she said but in her mind, she was scolding Zhao Hua. 'Bitch better not have messed things up for me,' she said to herself with an award-winning smile on her face.

Zhao Hua drank the entire thing in one go and smiled sweetly pretending everything was fine but her reddened eyes betrayed her.

"He insisted we wait and he will let me know when he's ready. After that will run away together," she explained vowing to make a fool out of Zhao Huangzhi.

For this plan to work, she would have someone watching Qie Ranzhe and Su Xin for a while. Her purpose was simple. It was to find the best opportunity to bring Zhao Huangzhi down and make her suffer for her crimes.

"Just keep me updated, okay?" Said Zhao Huangzhi with a glint of worry in her eyes. She had no confidence in Zhao Hua's words but why would her sister deceive her? This line of thought didn't last because Zhao Hua finally asked her the million-dollar question.

"By the way, why are you trying on wedding dresses? How come Jiejie is getting married without letting me know?" asked Zhao Hua while stroking the fluffy dress. "Whose the lucky bastard taking my sister away from me?"

Zhao Huangzhi blushed with a timid smile and said, "You will know soon enough... How do I look? Do you like it?"

Zhao Hua smiled and said, "You make a beautiful bride."

While the two sisters were busy backstabbing each other, Wen Qinxi's 'I am going to die' play came to an embarrassing end. The loud wails coming out of Wen Qinxi's mouth had the doctors rushing over thinking it was a life and death situation for a grown man to cry like that.

It was either he had his arm chopped off or his guts were spilling out of his abdomen.

One can only imagine their reaction when they found out the wailing man only had a minor back injury.

The doctor was about to scold him for making such a fuss over nothing but the look Qie Ranzhe gave him had him swallowing those words in an instant. One pain reliever and an ice patch later, Wen Qinxi was as silent as a church mouse feeling embarrassed for screaming louder than a woman in labour.

He might feel embarrassed but Qie Ranzhe was extremely worried about him. He let the man hold his hand the entire time which was squeezed till it turned white. It was so numb that the doctor had to instruct him to use the same cream he prescribed for his husband on his hand as well.

The two left the hospital an hour later after making sure the housekeeper was okay. For the entire trip home, the two barely spoke. It was obvious Qie Ranzhe was in a horrible mood so Wen Qinxi didn't speak as well lest he aggravates the man further.

Turns out, Qie Ranzhe wasn't upset with Su Xin rather he was upset with himself for not guarding his lover properly otherwise how could others get the opportunity to take him away?

He parked the car in front of the mansion but he didn't immediately get out of the car. The two people sat in silence each having their own thoughts. The mood in the enclosed space was extremely heavy but none of them broke the silence.

It was Qie Ranzhe who reached over and unbuckled Su Xin's seat belt soothing the tension. He closed his eyes and kissed Su Xin's lips in the process before giving him a weary smile. "Baby, let's get inside," he said but just as he opened the car door, Su Xin suddenly grabbed his collar and kissed the man like it was the end of the world.

"I love you," whispered Wen Qinxi before letting him go. His ears red from embarrassment, Wen Qinxi opened the door and hastily got out of the car. Because he was careless he fell on the ground with a loud thud.

This sound woke Qie Ranzhe up from his stupor and he asked, "Are you okay?" with a beautiful smile plastered on his face.

"Ah!... Do I look like I am fuckin okay?" replied Wen Qinxi rolling on the ground with an ugly expression.

It was then that the giddy Qie Ranzhe ran over to help him up. And once he did, he embraced Su Xin tightly and said, "I love you too, baby."
