Chapter 192 - Observation [2]

Lukros was trying to be observant as his eyes peeked at Xiulong's soul. But then, when he saw that he was not at least a tainted soul, he slowly tried to listen to him. His eyes flickered with curiosity as Xulong tried to act more like a person from Encanta.

"Encanta needs the help of the Immortal Sage. That is why I came here, Sir Lukros."

Lukros's face turned serious, but still an approachable expression. His eyebrows furrowed.

"It is not a matter that Master should be concerned anymore. Even going back to Encanta is impossible. You are only wasting your time and life in Encanta."

"There is no life in Encanta. The new generation of Immortal Sage's familiars had wreaked havoc on the world. They owned pieces of land, supported some country, and wars happened often because of a legend that could bring them more power over other countries."

Even though Lukros tried to disregard Xiulong's approach, his ears listened to what he said. And as his curiosity was still in his system, his eyebrows raised in confusion.

He was urged to ask, but he remembered that he should not be bothering his master again. And once he'd made up his mind, he shook his head and turned to face him.

"It is already not part of our concerns. We are already living in this world, and I think you should think of living here as well since it is impossible to return to Encanta."

Lukros let out a sigh and started walking. He gave Jake an eye and said, "Let's go."

Jake was just confused as he listened to them. They were as if making it sound like they were from a different world. But as his confusion and reasoning couldn't match, he remained ignorant of what they were talking about.

"Immortal Sage also needs your help," Xiulong said that sounded that seemed to be words out of desperation.

Lukros stopped with his face starting to wrinkle from being annoyed. He slowly faced Xiulong with his eyes darting with infuriation.

"What did you say? Are you really that stupid, or do you want to die now from insulting my master? What do you think should be the reason for me to spare your life?"

Xiulong's face seemed to be serious. He was unbothered by Lukros's taunts, as he should not be. His acting was still on the stage, and he knew that Lukros was starting to believe him.

"Immortal Sage needs your help as well. You might not know it, but the Immortal Sage was killing people nonstop in the eastern part of the Eastern Region."

Lukros snapped and his magique Qi filled his hands. He then appeared next to Xiulong and grabbed his neck, locking it and eventually making the people around them surprised and alarmed.

They looked at the scene with their wide eyes, as well as at Jake, who seemed to be frozen from what he witnessed.

"Take back what you said. I don't like hearing things that sound like Master is incapable of doing things on his own. And what did you say? Killing people nonstop? What about it? If he killed them, they must have deserved to die."

Deep inside, Xiulong was smirking as he was starting to see the light. Lukros was starting to believe him. Even with how he reacted, he was taking things into consideration.

"You did witness the fight between his other personalities in the past, right?"

Just after he said it, Lukros was taken aback. He paused.

"And what about it?"

"He is currently fighting with himself as well. Don't you think that killing people on a huge scale is normal for the Immortal Sage? Even the criminal organization in Encanta was left alive because, no matter how bastard they were, Immortal Sage just kept on his stance about being neutral."

Lukros looked at Xiulong with his deep eyes and slowly tried to assess it.

'It could be the reason why he was killing people. Master's other personality was a pain for him, but I don't know if I should believe this person. He was indeed from Encanta, as his words were telling me, but I couldn't remain unbothered by it. What if Master really needs help?'

"How can you prove your claims to me? Can you bring me him?" Lukros asked.

'Finally! You have bitten onto my words!'

Xiulong nodded, but before he could show his proof, he smirked.

"Before that, don't you think it would be a waste of time to go to the Immortal Sage by yourself? You need some company."

"I don't need company!"

"But your brothers and sisters are here. So, how about we give them a visit first?"

Lukros let go of the grip he was putting on Xiulong's neck and slowly lowered his head.

"They were here?" As if in disbelief, Lukros was mumbling to himself.

"Yes. They have also decided to follow the Immortal Sage after you. In total, Immortal Sage's familiars that had followed were seven, but only three of you were able to meet with him."

Lukros's head arose and looked at Xiulong directly in his eyes. His eyes flickered with excitement, but deep inside, he was still worried about Lucas.

Lukros still had his personality dependent on Lucas. Even though he had explored society to learn about being alone and away from Lucas, he still couldn't deny that he worried for Lucas.

"Who were the other six and how did you know it?"

"If you truly want to save your world, you must study everything and also reach things that were impossible for you to reach before."

"Yes, and so? I am still asking where they are. "

"Oh, yes. But let us first eat something. I am hungry."

Lukros paused and looked at Jake. Then, he nodded and let Xiulong follow him to the eating place.

'They were not hard to fool. If it is about Lucas, they would offer their ears to me, and I just have to prove things with my reasoning. But, playing with my tongue was really hard, huh. They were keen and would ask hard questions about what was happening in Encanta. Well, I don't know personally since I have never been into Encanta since Lucas picked up the piece!'

'But never mind, it was really hard. I just didn't like how persistent they were in learning who I was and how I gained some abilities to keep them on track. Well, everything for my legacy! Damn!'

'It was never disappointing to see that they were starting to get attached to each other as well. Perhaps going into this world showed their different sides and improved their attitudes to some understandable place.'

'Lukros, the Soul Dragon that was always attached to Lucas, was becoming independent of him. Back in Encanta, he couldn't be left reasonable without Lucas by his side. He was literally stupid.'

'Ellisa, the Phoenix, didn't like other familiars bothering her and would just shut them up for her peace of mind, which is the reason why she can't relate to other people.'

'Ureff, the Vampire, would just be playing with his legion all day. He liked being kind of his kind, but after arriving here, he learned how to be keen and pick his targets. Well, it was impressive that he kept himself steady and away from a thirst for blood. Or did the killings just give him enough blood?'

'Fukra, the Mighty Skeleton Warrior who only wished to sleep peacefully, became a human because of magique Qi. But before that, what he truly wished for was to die, but after using the piece, he was given a chance to be the human that he truly wished for. I am amazed at how he kept his armor shiny and willing to serve Lucas, even in another world.'

'Pilitro, the Viking Ghoul, was just a monster that wanted to see gold, but so loyal to Lucas that after he returned to Lucas's seclusive base and learned that he had killed himself, he followed him with the same method others used.'

'Quatro, the Eye Monster, the familiar that had noticed the change in the piece, informed others that if they wanted to follow Lucas, they should stab themselves with it as well.'

'Michael, the familiar ghost that wanted to perish, that is why he followed Lucas despite not having any master-servant pact with him. And even though he had no benefit from following him, he stuck to his thoughts that Lucas would bless him to death. '

'They were amusing... Their loyalty was proven even better than before. Their spirits were lifted because of the spiritual energy and they eventually learned of Lucas's new path.'

'This legacy will succeed.'
