Chapter 76 - Cliff Golden Sect [2]

It was a damaging phrase for him. Even though he wasn't able to introduce himself, he was still hoping to be respectful towards her. But, just as his personality was a secret to Ellisa, the fat man just smiled and bowed before her.

"Forgive me if I ever offended you. It was my first time seeing a King Spirit Realm senior in person. I was just too amazed." The fat man pleaded with respect, although Ellisa doesn't know if it was sincere because of the thickness of the man's face.

As Ellisa realized it, she thought, 'He can see through my cultivation base? I guess that's what they call it, a measurement of their pools. However, what's important right now is that he can see through my base, means that I am not hiding it well.'

Ellisa sighed and continued to think about it. If it means that she wasn't doing well in hiding her cultivation base, disadvantage may fall upon her. Not just opportunistic people that could be there to use her, if ever, there will be enemies too, that will be threatened by her simple presence.

It wasn't a good result, to be precise. And as she still doesn't know about cultivation and how to regulate the body with Qi flowing through passages, she has to study more of it.

It was also fortunate for her to have piqued her interest in cultivation because she had acquired a mixture of it. And it means that her knowledge of magic won't be enough. There must be changes in the methods she'll use.

Just as Ellisa was thinking about cultivation base, she faced Ureff, who was just standing, closing his eyes, feeling like the main character in some novel.

Then, she turned her face back at the fat man who was still bowing his head to her.

"Hey, can you see my brother's cultivation base?"

The fat man pondered, then peeked at Ureff. When he peeked at his cultivation base, he shook his head.

On the other hand, Ellisa just nodded at him and said, "How come you can't see his cultivation base?"

The fat man answered, "It was because of his control over his Qi."

'Although it feels like this senior was just playing with me, I don't care anymore. Just her presence obliged me to answer her questions.' Then the fat man gulped after his soliloquy.

"I see..." Ellisa mumbled then assessed things on her own as well.

'If that's the case, does that mean I am still not well-grasped on my new energy? But how can that vampire outdone my control over energies? He wasn't that good at it, or should I say... Ah...'

As Ellisa realized it, a smirk hinted on her lips.

'Perhaps because of his blood art... His blood art covers his presence sometimes.'

Ellisa then talked to the fat man again, but this time, she was trying to return the help she received.

"What's your name?" she asked.

"It is Bernard Dong, Senior." Bernard answered with his hands clasped.

Ellisa just nodded, and after a few seconds, Jake returned with some servants at his back.

"Miss Ellisa, these disciples will be your helper for your stay. The Sect Leader only wants to have an audience with you and Senior Ureff, it will be okay since it is a rare occasion for us to be visited by experts near at the peak."

They were long and unnecessary words for Ellisa, but she just nodded.

"Thank you." Then with it, Ellisa followed Jake.

"Hey, Ureff. Let's go. Destroy that mount you created. We'll meet the Leader of this sect."

Ureff opened his eyes and peeked at her. And just as Ellisa was waiting, he destroyed the mount and returned it to nothingness.

The disciples saw it, and even those sect elders in the area were surprised as well. It was their first time seeing it, and it might be their last time.

They didn't know if it was a treasure, but even if it was, disappearing treasures are still rare since this could only mean that the treasure is connected to the owner's soul.

Ureff then followed them. They entered a pavilion and were assisted to a room with plenty of space, and just at the end of the room were three chairs, with the biggest at the center.

The design of the room was also not to be overlooked. There were beautiful paintings, vases, and display items. Just seeing them makes Ellisa and Ureff surprised, since this was their first time seeing a form of art in this world.

On the other hand, the sect leader of the Cliff Golden Sect was sitting in one corner, smiling. Behind his smile was an uncontainable joy he felt in his life. Being visited by a senior in the King Spririt Realm is already something they could brag about to anyone.

And if they established a good relationship with them, it would surely benefit their sect.

The sect leader stood up as Ellisa and Ureff arrived at the room. It was the meeting room, to be precise, but for those who visited them for some help. Because they don't have a receiving area for those who are higher than them, because of which, visitors like them will be presented with the throne-like chair at the other end of the room.

"Welcome Seniors," the sect leader said, bowing and clasping his hands to be courteous to them.

Ellisa wasn't paying attention, and just at that, she snapped when Ureff tapped her shoulder.

"Huh? Ah... Thank you for welcoming us." Then a forced smile came after.

'The heck. I was too focused on suppressing my energy,' she thought.

The sect leader then smiled and raised his head. He presented the chair with a smile still stuck on his lips.

"Please have a seat."

Looking at where the sect leader was pointing, Ellisa already knew that it was some kind of a throne for them. And because of it, she was awkward with taking present.

"Let's have a sit, equally. I am just here as a visitor, so please act like we are equals." Ellisa softly said.

"Please don't worry. I don't mind it."

Not knowing what to say, the sect leader couldn't help but scratch his nape.

"If you insist." Both parties finally sat down, and then they started talking.

First, the sect leader introduced himself. His name is Liam Weng, and as he started speaking, Ellisa lent him ears while Ureff was just uninterested in what he had to say.

Ellisa just darted Ureff with a glare, but he didn't notice it. He was just closing his eyes as if he was unbothered by what was happening in his surroundings.

"I would like to thank you first for helping my disciple here. He is actually my direct disciple and knowing that you saved him from death makes me happy from it. I would like to show my gratitude, can I?"

Ellisa just smiled. Even though she knew that she was stronger than him and could take over his power with violence, she didn't entertain those thoughts, as she also had a virtue of her own.

It's not that she wanted some power over people; what she wanted was knowledge. It is the most important thing in a foreign land to learn, and just as this goal she has been shown on her path, why wouldn't she grab it?

She tapped the table and faced Liam. With Ellisa's gesture, Liam couldn't help but feel nervous. It was as if Ellisa was intending to make him anxious, even though he knew that he hadn't done anything wrong.

And as time feels like had become slower for him, he jolted when Ellisa started talking.

"I only want knowledge. I want to be supported with my cultivation during my stay here, which is the only gift I want to receive. I need some common books, most likely the average ones. It must be about cultivation and other matters connected to it. That's all."

Liam was just frozen in disbelief at how forward Ellisa was. He was thinking that Ellisa would ask for something absurd. But just realizing it, Ellisa doesn't need what he had since she was just playing around with them, which doesn't hurt their pride.

That was what Liam thought. However, Ellisa wasn't playing around. She was serious with what she requested since she really needed that information to know more about cultivation. She must not just know some of it, she must learn the concept behind it.

And with that, Ellisa smiled.

"Are you okay with it?" she asked.

Liam flinched as if surprised, then looked at her with a response. "Of course, there's nothing wrong with it."

That's how Ellisa's stay in the Cliff Golden Sect started. While they were staying people were talking about them like a news that couldn't be forgotten.

Of course, even the other sects learned about it, but they didn't do anything that would harm their sect and the Cliff Golden Sect since she was just a visitor.

And while they stayed there, Ellisa was diligently studying cultivation and the fundamentals of using her new energy.

She even started using some basic mystical art that sects rarely have. And showing it to Ellisa was only an act of respect since their stay didn't just give them an opportunity, but it also gave them a sense of safety.

However, there was one sect that didn't like it and it was the rival sect of the Cliff Golden Sect that turned out to be their neighbor that is from the next mountain.
