Chapter 15 - The Young Lady With Silver Hair [3]

Lucas's eyes twitched as he slowly opened his eyes. He saw himself inside a barrier formation; still inside the forest where he healed a young lady near the death door.

There where no abnormal wind and the night was just starting. He looked at his surrounding while his hands brushing the soft clover plants.

The light was giving him a spotlight, and he saw the young lady with peerless beauty that he couldn't differentiate with other beauties that he saw in his entire life.

Despite the fact that he met plenty of beauties, Felicity ranks in the top 10 in his perspective.

The silver hair of Felicity brushed as she felt Lucas waking up. There, she saw Lucas who was still settling down from his slumber.

Felicity approached Lucas with a sweet smile on her face. Although she doesn't know how to talk to him, she gathered her courage to patch up the words she needed.

Feeling agitated about the outcome, Felicity hesitantly talked to Lucas.

"Are you finally okay?" She asked with a little worry that Lucas might not remember her.

Lucas just looked at her and nods. "I am. Thank you for creating this formation for me… Felicity."

Felicity sighed in relief and sat down to his level. Though she seems to be older than Lucas, she was still overwhelmed with his slender body and height.

"That's good to hear. Thank you again for saving me. And as for what I said, I really mean it so let me help you ascend to the Upper Heaven." She said.

Lucas nodded and responded, "Then does that mean that you'll help me with my cultivation? How will you do it?" He asked since he thought that this noble lady is not accustomed to assist a commoner.

"I lived in the upper heaven, however, when I was in my training days, I was sent here in disguise to learn the below before walking the stairs of experts." She explained.

Lucas felt intrigued with Felicity; instinctively, he moved closer to her and asked for more about her.

"What do you mean you came from Upper Heaven?"

"I am from Upper Heaven since my cultivation is not appropriate for this realm. The Divine Emperor that rules over 4 Heaven Realms decided to have a requirement for every realm to keep the peace in it." She started explaining.

She paused for a brief moment and continued. "And one of it is the cultivation base."

"For the lowest of the four – the Mortal Heaven can only have Emperor Spirit Realm as the highest cultivation base to live. But they must ascend immediately and only given 10 years before taking the 10 Judgement Hell's Path to ascend to the Upper heaven."

"Then as for the Upper Heavens, there are three higher than this, and I came from the second of the highest, the Celestial Heaven." She said.

Felicity took a halt at her description since Lucas finally asked her a question.

"So, what's next Realm after this one?" He asked with a hint of anticipation in his eyes.

"It is Immortal Heaven. And I know that you're going for the highest, they have the mightiest cultivator of all, the Divine Overlord Realm where cultivators also called gods live. They basically can create minor heaven or I should say minor worlds on a whim."

Felicity was thinking that Lucas also wants to go to the highest of the 3 upper heavens. And even it's not obvious, all cultivators strive to reach the peak of cultivation.

However, as she still doesn't know Lucas, she could only expect things from him.

Lucas was speechless for a moment. A little burning excitement ignited in his stomach, more akin to butterflies flying inside.

He felt the disparity, but he didn't felt inferiority despite it. What he anticipates was to live with them and have the same standing as them.

Even though he doesn't know how ascension really works, he is still excited with the assistance in ascension Felicity was talking about.

Before finally going to his main topic, he asked Felicity first about her situation.

"So, that was the other realms or layer of his world. So, I have a question, why are you here and what happened to you to have degenerated in that condition if you came from the Celestial Heaven?"

Because of his question, Felicity showed a depressed expression. As she recalled the bitter nightmarish beating she received from those she trusted the most. She can't help but feel a rock hitting her heart.

Lucas noticed that Felicity was somewhat bothered by his question. Thus, he decided to call the question off but Felicity insisted on saying it instead.

"No… I can take this… It's also important for you to know." She said with a bitter smile on her face.

"I was betrayed by my previous… no… I was betrayed by people who wore fake faces every day. They damaged my cultivation, making me place vulnerable to their beating. As for the reason why they did it, I guess it was because of jealousy since every male in our peers always looks at me."

"They might felt inferior that even cultivating couldn't help them that much."

She paused for a moment when she recalled the 'fake' memories she made with those people. Not knowing how will Lucas feel, she just continued to ease the pain she was feeling.

"And because I was afraid to die, I slit my cultivation base with a treasure I was hiding, releasing my spiritual energy to restart at a lower cultivation base. And I was immediately rejected from Celestial Heaven since I don't deserve living there and disappeared in front of them at the specific moment, they captivated me."

Felicity was speechless again, as Lucas was dumbfounded by every word she said.

Silence enveloped the area, without anyone tried to break it.

Lucas was bothered if she would be feeling saddened by her experience. Although it wasn't his purpose to insist on her talking about the terrifying memory she got.

A few moments later, Lucas finally spoke. "I see. Sorry for making you remember it." He said.

Felicity just smiled. "It's okay, it was a month ago anyway."

"Huh?" A hint of confusion broke from his lips.

His eyebrows are raising in perplexed expression while he was struck by the lightning of Felicity's revelation.

He hesitantly asked what does she mean…

"Do you mind elaborating what you just said?"

"It was just a month ago. Hence, you were sleeping almost a month by now."

Then another lightning struck Lucas. That was a hard pill to swallow. It just means that he lived a month in this world without even realizing it.

'Wow… That was kind of hard to follow. But being immortal, I felt months like a blink of a second. However, this one is different, this is the only time I felt months as an important part of my life.' He cried inwardly feeling depressed about it.

"Okay, I get it. But right now, in my progress, how can you help me?" He asked.

"I will help you with resources. Though this realm is just an easy mode of a trial for me, I still need to get accustomed and remember what I did in this realm." Felicity shrugged.

"I guess you were right. So, do you have any questions about me? I'm kind of open for questions." Lucas said.

Felicity felt excited when Lucas said it as she was hesitating if she will ask about the mystical aura around him.

She nodded before spilling the questions she was keeping to herself.

"Who are you, Lucas? I can feel your cultivation lower than my current but I can feel two different energy coming from you."

"Hm… I might not be able to answer that, since you need to earn my trust. I hope you understand."

Felicity was dispirited a little but when Lucas followed, she glowed in joy.

"But I can tell you that I also came from another realm, and not a native here, and I'm just basically doing cultivation for fun."

"Fun huh… I guess you are right that cultivation is fun if not for scums."

"I know that too. I even encountered one but it didn't budge me even he was higher in cultivation base since I am smarter than him.." Lucas said with a smug face, feeling arrogant about what happened when he beat Felip Cai's arrogance.
