Chapter 328 - MY HUNCH COULD NEVER GO WRONG

"What do you mean you could not understand her???"

Mu Lingxi asked in confusion when Janus told her the situation.

"MEOW"

[It was just like exactly how you heard it, little lass. I could not understand a word she was saying. Luna was using an alien language and I don't know how she was doing that]

Janus almost clawed his fur out due to frustration as he tried to explain to his master what was happening.

"Err... Why don't you tell her to use normal language then???"

That was the most ridiculous and nonsense conclusion that he could ever come up with

Janus' eyes glowed with malevolence when he suddenly thought about that.

Right at the moment that he first saw that Schoolmaster Yin, Janus already had a bad feeling towards him.

It was only because he needed the help of the party that was why he remained in silence and decided not to pay him any heed.

"Janus? Calm down. You should not be pointing fingers here. How could you be so sure that Schoolmaster Yin had anything to do with this??"

Mu Lingxi could not understand why her cat, Janus, was so sure about his opinion.

Janus reiterated his words with much conviction in his voice.

"How could you be certain about it Janus?? He was the one who helped us, remember???"

It was not that Mu Lingxi trusted Schoolmaster Yin more than she could trust Janus' words.

It was just that she was not that kind of person who would trust and believe blindly to someone's words of accusation over someone else. Even that someone was her closest peer.

[Exactly?! He was the only one who touched Luna aside form us. It was not as if someone from us were capable of  doing this Luna, right?]

"But it does not necessarily mean that Schoolmaster Yin is capable of doing it, either."

Mu Lingxi tried to reason out to Janus. She was not planning to side with Schoolmaster Yin. She was just trying to act neutral and looked at the situation from a different perspective.

"MEOW"

[I have complete trust in my natural instinct, little lass.  And my instinct was telling me that we could not put our complete trust to that schoolmaster of yours.]

"So you mean to say  that Schoolmaster Yin was not someone we could trust, solely because of your hunch???"

"MEOW"

"Oh, Janus. You are probably just being too emotional, right now. We could talked about it again later after you calm down."

Mu Lingxi patted Janus' head and advised him to calmed down first.

"MEOW"

[But mu hunch could never go wrong!]

"No more buts Janus. Don't worry, we would find a way to sort this out. Please stop putting the blame on anyone. No one wants any of this to happen."

Mu Lingxi was too skeptical to accept Janus' words in the face value.

After all, she thought that Janus must have been stressed out after he found out about Luna's condition

She had learned base on experience that emotion could very much likely cloud one's sense of rationality at times.

Mu Lingxi and her friends decided to leave the folded space after that short encounter with Luna

Now that they already knew what exactly was Long Ye's reason for keeping Luna away from them, they were finally at ease.

Just like Long Yue, they could also feel that there was something different about Luna compared to what she used to before.

But it was a pity though that only Mu Lingxi and her cat, Janus, could only knew what exactly was that thing that made Luna different to her previous self.

"We're sorry if we doubted you, Long Yue."

"Right, sorry if we misunderstood you..."

Long Fuzi and the others knew that  Long Yue deserved their apologies.

As such, as soon as they went out of the folded space, they did not hesitated to express their apologies towards him one after another.

To which their friend, Long Yue, accepted readily without a heavy heart.

"It's okay. I know why you feel that way. I would not blame any of you for feeling that way. It's normal."

That was how Long Yue usually was.

He was someone who would just choose to shrug the matter off his shoulder, as long as he found it petty.
