203 LONG YUE's MISFORTUNE

Name:SORCERESS 101 Author:WolfsBane
As long as one managed to acquire all the needed ingredients, concocting the Elixir of Wolfs Bane should be as easy as a piece of cake.

All they have to do is to mix all the ingredients together inside a cauldron while letting it sit over the fire for a predetermined span of a couple of minutes.

Add some chanting and a little singing here and there, and Voila! You had your own love liqueur ready to use.

In fact, even the spell that they have to chant is so simple and easy to memorize. Compare to the usual tongue twister-like and foreign words that they were using during spell casting.

But all luck started to work against Long Yue when he accidentally purchased a defected set of Ashwinder eggs.

As these eggs were highly combustible, it is a must for it to be processed and handled with much care.

At first, Long Yue already noticed that the Ashwinder eggs that he purchased were slightly vermillion in color. A little different from the bright red color as described by the book.

But he did not pay it any heed. As a result, when he brought the Ashwinder eggs that he purchased back in his class, a problem arises.

As for the normal procedure, one has to create a fire out from a defrosted Ashwinder eggs.

Supposedly, the students will have to try and defrost the Ashwinder eggs using specific equipment that will be provided by the school.

The Ashwinder eggs will be left inside the oven-like equipment over a specific period of time and a preset temperature.

But since Long Yue's Ashwinder eggs were not frozen properly before being sold, it defrosted faster and burns earlier than they were expecting.

Before they knew it, Long Yue's Ashwinder eggs already set everything in a fire almost burning have of his classmate's love liqueur ingredients into a cinder.

Initially, Long Yue could still be able to resolve this issue by buying a new set of ingredients to compensate for his mistakes.

Although the process was time-consuming and will burn a lot of his magic stones, it was still doable.

But the thing is after he set the ingredients on fire his cauldron also started having cracks. It seems that it can no longer handle the heat and so it exploded.

Thankfully, they were just in the initial stage of their concoction. Or else, the explosion might be more destructive.

Although the class was able to avoid a major disaster and Long Yue only suffer from a small cauldron explosion, that incident still resulted in the early dismissal of class.

This means that the concoction of the Elixir of Wolfs Bane became their take-home activity. Or rather, a take-dorm activity.

Which also means that they will be left on their own. Teacher Shen won't be there to guide them in their concoction and all they could rely on in making the elixir of love liqueur is their Elixir Making book.

After being done in by his Ashwinder eggs, Long Yue was asked by Teacher Shen to meet her at the Faculty Hall why the rest of his classmates were allowed to go back to their room.

Before Long Yue could even have a chance to fix his wretched appearance he was already called out ushered by Teacher Shen to follow her.

Left with no choice, he absentmindedly trailed behind Teacher Shen with his head hung low. It was not as if he wished for anything of it to happen.

But no matter how unintentional it was on his part, he still needs to take a certain degree of responsibility for the matter.

After all, everything of this started from his negligence in purchasing the defected Ashwinder eggs. It was clearly written in the book that the color of the eggs should be bright red.

Yet despite noticing the slight discoloration on the Ashwinder eggs that he purchased, he still went on using it. That was his mistake.

"A wise warlock should be sensitive even in choosing the ingredients of each elixir he was concocting. A slight difference in its property will have a tremendous effect on its potency. In a worst-case scenario, it will even lead to an utter distraction of the entire Elixir process. Wasting all your efforts in the end. Do you understand?"

Teacher Shen's voice echoed inside the Teacher Hall as she continues her long litany. It was a good thing that no one was there aside from them.

Or else Long Yue would feel more embarrassed and sorry than he already was.

He does not even have the nerve to lift his head and met Teacher Shen's eyes for he was feeling guilty for all the trouble that he had caused.

"I don't want anything of this to happen again in the future. Do you get me?!"

Teacher Shen said in a slightly intimidating manner.

'So do I...'

Long Yue badly wanted to answer and say those words, but of course, he refrains himself from doing so. Instead, he nodded his head and with his eyes still looking on the floor he said subserviently.

"Yes, Teacher Shen. This student understands."

"Very well. You can now go back to your dorm. Don't forget to study and concoct the love liqueur once your back. I need you to pass me a successfully concocted Elixir of Wolfs Bane tomorrow morning."

"Yes teacher, I will."

"Good. By the way, clean yourself first before leaving the room."

When Teacher Shen was done telling everything that she wanted to say, she left Long Yue inside the Teacher's Hall to allow him to clean himself.

With a wave of his wand, Long Yue was able to revert himself back to his pristine appearance. After that, without wasting any more of his time he went out of the Teacher's Hall and head straight to the boy's dormitory.

He still had a lot of things to prepare for his Elixir Making. But before that, he must first make more incense sticks for his pet cat, Luna.

Its been quite some time now since they took their first-ever school mission at the land of Echurid. Which happened to be somehow related to the forgotten practice of necromancy.

They almost met their demise there, and they just barely escape the place with their lives intact. But as a result, Luna had to sacrifice herself to buy some time for the group.

Long Yue and his friends were advised to keep a tight lip about what happened in the land of Echurid. In exchange for their silence, Schoolmaster Yin promised them that he will help the group to look for a solution for Luna's condition.

Yet so far, they haven't yet received any news back from Schoolmaster Yin. It was they who were working their ass out to look for a solution.

Well, the only consolation that the group could get is that their effort seems not to be in vain.

After the joint effort of all valuable treasures that Long Yue and his friends were using to aid Luna's recovery, he can now see a slight improvement in her condition.

Also, he still has some spare Wish Liquid for later use. He was planning to use it once they set out for another trip in hopes of finding anything related to the forgotten practice of necromancy.
