51 A CHANCE ENCOUNTER WITH A THIEF 2

Seeing that the guy just cast the same spell that Prince Long Fuzi used to apprehend the lava breathing beast before, Mu Lingxi rushes to aid her cat.

She jumps from the branch of a tree with ease. From afar, she was akin to a goddess descending from heaven blessing the mortal world with her grace.

When she landed, she performed a follow-through by doing a quick eggroll. She ended up in a half-kneeling position as her wavy brown hair cascaded to her shoulders and framing her small v-shape face.

After that, she slowly lifted her face as she glared at the guy standing just a few meters away. Her piercing eyes send a shiver down to the spine of the thief.

Her maneuver was flawless, even Janus was surprised to see her doing that. But since he was under a spell, he was suspended in thin air and all his movement was halted. Talking was not an option for him too. Yet in his mind, he was exclaiming.

He was too excited seeing Mu Lingxi acting cool for the first time. If he could just possibly clap his two paws, he might probably do so.

Mu Lingxi's exhibition did not just end there. She dashed towards the thief not giving him any time to react.

The thief was caught off guard by the aggressiveness of the lady across him. Plus he was left in a daze as he watched the lady doing her great maneuver all this time.

But knowing that he cannot afford to daze right now, he pointed his wand to the approaching lady ready to cast another spell.

"STAMATISTE EKEI!!!"

His wand shoots another flash of light but like an agile gymnast, Mu Lingxi did a somersault in the air and dodged the spell perfectly.

"HIYAAAAAHHHH!!!"

Mu Lingxi did a quick body spin with her right foot as she jumps and did a front jump kick.

The thief did not expect that the lady will attack him as soon as she landed. He was holding his wand ready to cast another spell but the lady's attack was about to reach him.

He was sure that before he finished casting the spell, the lady's kick will reach him first. And judging from her momentum, the kick will certainly knock him off.

So instead he sidestepped, escaping the attack in the hair's breathe. But his hand holding the wand was hit by Mu Lingxi's kick so the wand ended up falling from his grasp.

Without getting a chance to retrieve the wand he leaped and landed a few feet away.

Meanwhile, the spell holding Janus already wears down, but the cat seems not to have any intention to help the battle between Mu Lingxi and the thief.

"MEOW"

[ Ohh geez,... Such a pity! Why I didn't bring a pack of BOY BAWANG with me... HAIXT!!!

Janus even reverted back at his cat form and was happily cheering his master at the sidelines, he was even doing a catcall!

Mu Lingxi was so engrossed at chasing the thief who stole her only belonging, the ring. She did not even notice that her action was already out of the word 'mediocre'.

Seeing that the thief escaped her assault the fire in her eyes didn't die. She rushes to the direction of the thief ready to continue her barrage of attack.

"STOP! Don't get any close in here," he said as his body seems to sink from where he was standing.

The ground where he was seems to swallow him slowly as his body continued to go further down.
