Chapter 355 - Dad, It's Me.

"God bless the child and congrats to you, Ed. You are going to become a grandfather, soon" Georgy congratulated his friend, but his eyes became gloomy when he remembered his own grandson who is dead now.

"But I am wondering how your kingdom people actually accepted your daughter in law who was from outside the Kingdom. Or, is she from the noble family?" he asked, intending to divert the topic.

The last thing he wants is to make his friend pity him and turn this happy reunion into some sympathy show.

"She is from outside. But we all love her so much. She is perfect and most suitable as Queen" Edgar said, bragging about his daughter in law who is actually this man's daughter as well.

"And, her status is far higher than any noble lady, so all have agreed" he added, hoping that he would ask about her at least now.

"Hmm. Good to hear that. Customs are changing in your kingdom too. They never agreed on any commoner till now, right? Especially your mom" George asked.

He felt good talking to his best friend.

For a few moments he can forget his grief and act like everything is fine.

"She isn't a commoner. She is a princess" Edgar grinned.

"Princess? Which Kingdom?" George asked, suddenly curious.  At last!

"Your Kingdom" Edgar grinned.

"Mine? Camilla is engaged and we don't have any princess in the Kingdom, well, if you don't count my brothers another daughter" George said, referring to Natalie.

As Edgar still doesn't know that this other daughter his friend talked about is none other than his another daughter in law, Natalie,he didn't care much about it.

"No, I am not talking about your bastard brother's daughters. I am talking about yours" Edgar said, grinning again.

This is called, slowly revealing the secret.

And, it is extremely thrilling.

"Eh?" George looked at his friend as if he was gone mad.

But when he saw him grinning, he just sighed. "I am in no mood to hear your jokes, Ed" George said.

"Seriously? You think I am joking? You said you saw my daughter in law at the park right? Haven't you felt any emotions for familiarity when you saw her?" Edgar asked.

For a second George froze.

He did, yes, he felt like that girl was very familiar to him and she had also made him feel unfathomable emotions.

But who could that girl be his daughter?

There was no survivor in the fire accident.

While George was in shock, still not able to comprehend what was happening, "Dad" Brina called out loud as she came inside.

At first she wanted to go inside but Nick said sudden shocks are not good for her father's health.

So, she stopped outside and waited while Edgar tried to break this news to her father..  However, it didn't work out much and she started losing patience as well. So she came inside.

Meanwhile, when George heard that familiar voice, he froze. It is so, so similar to his daughter's voice.

And, when he turned around, Sabrina was there, standing in front of him.

She took off her eye lenses, got her hair style fixed like her previous hair style. She even wore the neck chain her father gave it to her as a heirloom.

So, only her hair color is different.  But, the resemblance is so obvious.

For one second, George couldn't believe his eyes. He thought he was hallucinating, but this felt so real.

Her voice felt very real and the sight of her made his heart best erratically.

"Sa.. Sabrina" George stuttered, finally coming out of his shock. Tears statted streaming out if his eyes and he felt his legs buckle.

If not for his friend who is holding him, he would have really crumbled down.

He walked hurriedly to his daughter and hugged her tightly, afraid that she would disappear if he is late even one second.

His movements are so in hurry and clumsy. Unstable with shock and anxiety.

Meanwhile, Brina is no different from her father.

She is undergoing the same emotions as her father.

When he started walking hurriedly to her, she sprinted to him too. Afraid that she would wake up from this beautiful dream even before she could feel the familiar warmth of her father.

"God! It's really you. Thank God, it's really my daughter" he whispered when his tears fell drop by drop, soaking her top.

When he hugged her, that familiar emotion and aura overwhelmed him.

This is too real to be a dream!

Brina cared less about her appearance too. She broke out into tears and her own tears are soaking her father's shirt as well.

"I didn't know you were alive, dad. When I escaped with Will, I saw that the building you were about to be there, crumbled down to ashes. Later, I heard that they found out your DNA sample there and confirmed that you were dead" she cried very badly.

"I am sorry. I should have been there for you" she sobbed.

"Oh honey, it's not your mistake to feel sorry about. Sshh….sshh.. don't cry. I am here right" her father patted her back as he caressed her hair with another hand. "We reunited. It's all that matters" he comforted her.

"We were supposed to be in that building, princess. But, Nickolas got us out somehow. We fainted due to that smoke and by the time I opened my eyes I was in this town, in a coma for a year" George answered her another question when his daughter finally calmed down.

Looking at his daughter's face, he sighed and wiped her tears away. "Still a cry baby" he gently chided her as he affectionately smiled making Brina chuckle in between her sibd.

For the first smile that reached his eyes for the first time in all these years.  (Exclude the time she spent with Louis)

But when Brina didn't stop crying he used his usual method.

Praising her.

Yes, Sabrina loves when her father or brother praises her. For them, she is always a little princess who lives to get attention from the best men of her life.

"Look at you, you are so beautiful. You shouldn't cry like this" he said.

"I never thought I would get to see my darlin' princess again. It's like a dream" he said, hugging her again. Trying to stop her from crying. But she was just very emotional. "But in this beautiful moment, I didbt expect my baby to cry" he teased.

Even he wanted to cry do badly. Well, however, he is habituated to acting strong like this.

"Promise me that you don't leave me" Brina asked, her voice cracking.

"Never again, princess" her father promised, as he hugged his daughter who is crying like a baby.

At first Louis wanted to go and comfort her but later decided against it. This is the father - daughter time.

After hugging each other for a few more moments, Brina calmed down a little.

"Dad....mom? How is she and where is she?" Brina asked, suddenly remembering that she didn't see her mother.

"Jenny is upstairs. She is in a coma, princess. Doctors said that it is up to her when she wanted to wake up and that there was nothing wrong with her body anymore. May be too many painful incidents and too many losses that she doesn't want to wake up." her father gloomily answered.

"She would have been in a peaceful and happy dream, she never wanted to wake from" her father said, wiping his tears.
