Chapter 287 - Wedding Starts.

"Why don't we tell the truth?" Ethan asked.

"You still don't understand the intensity of it, do you?" Brina asked, chuckling.

"If we tell Griffin and ask him to help us, do you think he will just believe us? He will take some time and dig out the information to know what is the truth."

"By then, my uncle and his bastard son in law Nickolas will smell the suspicion from him and will soon find out what happened. I can't...sorry...we all can't take that risk you know" Brina said.

"Your father in law is a very cruel man, Ethan. His mind is dangerous and his thoughts are ruthless. Do you know how he had everyone in check?" Brina asked.

"Morgana's brother is still a prisoner. Though he roams out like a free man, he is still being watched. Just a message is enough to kill him. They planted poisonous drugs in their intestines. Just a button is enough to make them blast the drugs in him and kill him" she said.

"And, Griffin...his wife, the only person he loves very much is his only weakness. Unfortunately, she works for my uncle… so, she is always with him. Once they find out that Griffin is working against them, they will kill her. We can't just let an innocent die, right?" she asked.

"Your father in law has everyone at the tip of his fingers, Ethan. We need to be careful" Brina said.

"Yeah, when it comes to worst we will surely tell Griffin about everything. But for now, there is no need to hurry up and make any mistakes. If brother Griffin finds out about everything do you think he can stay normally with his father? So, by revealing the truth we put both him and his pregnant wife in danger. I don't want innocents to die because of our selfishness" Brina said, pursing her lips.

"I understand," Ethan said. He of course knows that Brina has a soft corner for both kids and pregnant ladies. Moreover, what she said now is the truth.

Morgana stayed away from her son and daughter just to save them and keep them protected from their father. It's very inhumane to let her efforts go in vain just to make things easier for them.

Brina would have already thought of all these before taking the hard path rather than the easy and quick path.  Ethan smiled at her.

"Thanks for telling everything, Brina.  I promise that I will carry this secret to my grave and will not tell anyone. Even I want my wife to be safe." he said.

"I believe you. I trust you and I know that you will protect her no matter what" Brina said.

"And, does Louis know?" Ethan asked.

"Yes, he does. I didn't want to keep any secrets from him anymore, so I told him each and everything. But don't blame him for not telling you, Ethan. He was just respecting the promise he gave me." Brina said.

"I understand. And, I don't blame him either" Ethan told her.

"But, on a serious note, you should start calling me brother in law" Ethan said, playfully winking at her.

"Of course, the day after tomorrow," Brina said, smiling.

Meanwhile, the person who has been eavesdropping quietly walked away.

…..

After a day...

Brina and others came back to the capital of the Kingdom.

As her marriage was the next day, everyone got busy including Brina and Louis.

As Brina and Louis are still in different places, they didn't meet. Actually, everyone made sure that they wouldn't be able to meet.

Brina's whole day got finished in self care. Beauty team tended to her in all ways to make her look extra beautiful and amazing.

"I pity you," Natalie said, all of a sudden. Brina, who was lying down on the bed with her face pack and cucumber on her eyes, removed the cucumber pieces from her eyes and looked at Natalie in confusion.

What to pity?

Tomorrow is going to be her big day…??

"Eh?" Brina asked.

"Dear, tomorrow is your first night," Natalie said.

"So?" Brina asked. "Actually I am looking forward to it, Nat. You saw the lingerie I bought right? You should actually pity my husband" Brina chuckled.

Natalie chuckled and moved close to whisper in her ear.

"Do you know why both of the brothers wait till they marry?? They would be holding all that hunger inside and all in sudden it would blast out...just imagine what that roller coaster ride will it be?" Natalie asked, remembering her own first night.

Brina pouted.

"Don't pity your husband, Brina. He will not hold back any more. It's from my experience"

"And, as I know that Brother Louis thinks just in the same way as my husband, Ethan, I can already predict how your honeymoon will be"

"I hope you have eaten the nutritious fool well all this time. You might need it for these fifteen days" Natalie teased Brina.

Brina flushed a little but nodded her head. "Don't worry, Nat. I have been preparing for this night. I have my own tricks rolled up my sleeves" she said, winking at her.

…..

Soon the next dawn rose up with its pleasant rays breaking through the window of the bride's room.

In the peaceful manor, the birds chirped cheerfully as the cold breeze spreaded it's pleasant weather all around.

The ruffling of the leaves of the trees and the beautiful blooming of the flowers filled the place with its peaceful vibes.

Brina who just woke up, looked at the environment around her and took a leisurely breath. Rubbing her hands on her cold arms, she blinked her eyes constantly.

The day of her marriage started with a peaceful and beautiful moment and all the nervousness she had inside her heart started fading away.

"You woke up," Brina's grandmother said, as she operated her wheelchair to move inside.

"Grandmother" Brina greeted, kneeling down so that her face would be at the same level as her grandmother's.

Her grandmother looked at her, her eyes lingering on her granddaughter's peaceful and brightened up face.

"I used to have many dreams on how to celebrate my daughter's marriage. But unfortunately it didn't happen" she said.

"After your mother fell in love with your dad, she wanted to announce his identity to us so that we would marry her happily.  But your dad insisted on testing us."
