Chapter 254 - Asking Louis Why He Ran Away.

A few days passed by.

"Cool down, Brina. You can do this. You can ask Edward why he ran away that day." Katherine said, cooling her friend who was very tense.

They finished their exam a day back. And, tomorrow is the day, Brina and Louis kissed for the first time.

Now, Brina wanted to recreate it to open up to Louis

However, this uncertainty of why he ran away that day, is troubling her.

"But what if he ran away because he fi-" Brina stopped when Katherine shook her shoulders.

"Hey! It really doesn't matter, okay? He loves the 'present' you. So, it really doesn't matter. In fact, he will be damn happy that you both had your first kiss with each other. Isn't it beautiful that you are having all your firsts with each other?" Katherine tried to cool down Brina.

"Ahh! Actually it isn't the first. Though I don't consider my first kiss as a first" Brina said.

"Really? Who is that lucky boy who got your first? A crush from school level?" Katherine asked, intending to divert Brina's nervousness.

"No. I was just a baby! I mean, it might just be two years. My mother told me that her best friend's son kissed me because I was cute. However, he was a toddler too. So, it really doesn't matter" Brina said.

"Don't consider it...haha. You didn't kiss voluntarily" Katherine laughed.

Meanwhile, Brina's nervousness increased when her clock ticked six in the evening.

Louis would be back anytime soon.

"You have to go," Katherine said. Brina is actually in Katherine's room.

"Hmm. I will be going then. Wish me luck" Brina asked, giving a hug to Katherine.

"All the best, future Queen" Katherine teased.

Brina took a deep breath and went back.

As soon as she returned, she of course cooked. She was actually not a fan of cooking, but, after Louis came into her life, she started enjoying cooking for him.

It felt like she was a wife waiting for her husband to return. And, having dinner with him is always something she looks forward to.

Meanwhile, even Louis started getting accustomed to eating Brina's food. No matter how it tasted, he always felt like her good couldn't be compared to the other's hand made food.

It's because her food always has a special essence called, love.

"Hi baby," Louis said, pecking her head as she hugged her from behind. He sniffled her vanilla fragrance, by burying his nose into her neck, which totally calmed down his nerves.

"Welcome back," Brina said, as she turned around and hugged him. Meanwhile, Louis peeked at the dishes she was cooking.

And,all of them are his favorite. "Anything specific today?" he asked, caressing her back, soothingly.

Brina shook her head. "Nothing. For the past few days, I have been busy preparing for exams. And, I really couldn't concentrate on you, so" she said, looking into his greyish black eyes.

"You indeed neglected me, baby girl. I didn't sleep good the past few nights" he pouted.

Brina rolled her eyes. And, that's an exaggeration.

He slept like a log!

But that was purely because he was dead exhausted. However, a few times, his hands would search for her, as if afraid of losing her. And, his hands have never let their grip lose on her.

That showed how worried and disturb he was.

Brina caressed his cheeks. "Don't worry. You will have a good sleep today" she said, kissing his lips.

Louis smiled against her lips and deepened it.

…..

Later…

Both were cuddled in their bed, silence but filled with love.

Brina has her head on his arm while continuing brushing her hair with his fingers. Their legs were intertwined while their hearts followed the same rhythm.

"Honey, I want to ask you something,"  Brina abruptly said, breaking the silence.

It however took a lot of her courage to ask.

"Hmm. What is it?" Louis asked, his eyes still fixed to the ceiling.

For the past few days, Brina has been asking him various questions. Not that he kind to share with her but he doesn't want her to worry about his matters too.

"Your first kiss. Wasn't it here?" Brina asked, successfully getting all his attention.

Louis was suddenly startled because of her abrupt question.

"It was. But, I don't consider it as a full kiss. It is somewhere close to a clumsy one" Louis said.

Brina of course remembers that.

They actually met to talk about something related to the academy, however, their discussion took another turn.  More into personal matters.

Back then, Brina was infatuated just like Louis. Their infatuation and admiration towards each other were mutual.

However, she couldn't remember how it led them to a kiss.

Might be the climate of that night..

They were on the terrace and it was pitch black only with a faint lamp light. That cool breeze, birds chirping and the rainy smell would have triggered their infaction.

Even when they removed their masks to kiss, they couldn't see their faces at all. It's how dark it was. And, besides that, surprisingly, both had their eyes closed.

When he took her chin into her hand, Brina involuntarily closed her eyes. And, so did Louis.

That's all she remembers. His lips engulfed her lips into a clumsy kiss and before she could reciprocate, that warm feeling got replaced with a cold empty one.

And, by the time she opened her eyes in confusion, he was already at the corner of that terrace, running.

Later she waited for him to come back, however, that never happened.

And, that day was Louis's last day in Academy. That's why they met…

He said he had something to tell her but that never happened. And, that next year, Brina had accepted Nickolas's proposal out of force.

And after she accepted, he eventually created the fake impression of love in her heart.

And, accepting Nickolas's proposal is the  worst thing she ever did in her life.

"But that kiss was still your first, right? However, Charlotte told me that you ran away. Why? Why did you run? Is it because you just wanted to kiss that girl out of infatuation?" Brina asked.

Louis looked at Brina with complex expressions written on his face.

"That's in the past, baby. Why do you ask? Just let it go" Louis said, his voice indifferent.

"Are you nervous because you don't want me to know it?" Brina questioned back.

"No. It's not like that" Louis replied.

"Then, is it because you still have feelings for her and you are afraid you would show it to me?" Brina asked.

Louis frowned. "Don't talk rubbish, Brina. Are you getting jealous or what?" he asked back, smirking at the last sentence.
