3 Meeting Your Heroes never goes as well as you wish

I opened my eyes as I looked at the figures now in my room. Yes, figures. Not just one which I was expecting. Obviously, they saw me as a bigger threat due to my display of raw power.

Who says those with high intelligence make good decisions? Because despite being a (self-proclaimed) genius, I obviously didn't know how to use my intelligence.

"You really are one strong, kid," a cool voice came from one of the figures. He was quite tall, about 6'1" or 6'2", I wasn't that sure and he had a toned figure despite his obvious past-his-prime age. He was bald and had an eye-patch over his left eye which only added to his calm, confident face to put out an intimidating pressure.

He walked over to me and dropped a key into my hand. I looked up at him in a confused manner, only to hear him chuckle at me, "I never wanted to keep you prisoner, just wanted to see how you'd react. Didn't expect you to destroy a perfectly good bed, however..." he clicked his tongue before chuckling again and walked back to the group of three who came with him.

I quickly took the key and unlocked the chains from my body, before throwing them on the floor causing an audible bang. I slowly stood up, cracking my joints which seemed to feel a bit stiff from being restrained.

Finally out of the unbreakable cuffs, I turned my attention back to the figures who surprised me.

One of the figures was of a similar height with Fury but that's where the similarities ended. He was muscular, like a gymnast rather than a bodybuilder, and he stood with posture so straight it was like looking at a ruler. He had blonde hair and baby blue eyes, mixed with his handsome face and good body and he seemed like the type of man any woman would want. He looked similar to Chris Evans but also different.

But it wasn't his appearance that surprised me but the circular shield he currently had strapped to his back and the red, white and blue suit he was wearing which was almost iconic back in my world.

He was Captain America.

And that same Captain America was currently reaching out his hand to shake mine. I felt like I was gonna faint from the mini-fanboy panic attack I was having.

"Good to meet you, the name's Steve Rogers but you can call me Captain America or Cap," he had a friendly smile on his face as he spoke in a polite tone which surprised me. I kept my guard up, knowing S.H.I.E.L.D would always be scheming but I guess Cap wouldn't be a part of it, right?

Nonetheless, I took his hand in mine, returning his handshake with a polite smile of my own, "Hello, my name's..." I instantly drew a blank as looked in my head and memories for my name. But I couldn't find it, and when I looked for other memories such as my past-family, I couldn't find them either.

All that was in my head was information on the Marvel Universe and my powers. Plus a bit of common sense, but that wasn't the point right now.

I couldn't remember who I was.

While I was thinking, I unconsciously let go of Cap's hand, my face sinking into an expression of confusion. Seeing my confusion seemed to make everyone in the room a bit worried, especially Natasha and Cap.

"Are you okay, kid?" Cap looked up into my red eyes, showing his classic personality traits of worrying for everyone else's problems.

Hearing his perturbed tone, I snapped back from my thinking.

"I apologize but I can't seem to remember my name," I let out a small laugh before sporting an awkward smile. I'd come to the conclusion that my past memories had been cleansed to help me adapt to life here quicker. But still....it kinda hurt to know I'd never remember my past family.

Anyway, my admission seemed to cause a multitude of emotions. Cap and Natasha seemed to be surprised, while Fury was curious. The last person, however, walked up to me and clasped his big hand down on my shoulder.

"It's to be expected, my friend, you went through the Bifrost in a very unrefined way. You're lucky you still have your mind, so losing your memories could be seen as a better case scenario!" I looked up at the big man, as I took in his massive figure.

He was broad, even broader than both me and Cap. He was about 6'6" and completely full of muscle from head to toe. He had long, golden blond hair and ice blue eyes which radiated multiple things. Strength, confidence, and pride, if I were to name a few.

He was dressed in what looked like ancient armor but it also had an otherworldly feel about it - I would know, I came from another world.

His armor was black, with medium sized metal circles on his upper body and stomach. 3 on each side, going down in a line, starting at his shoulders and going to his hip level. The top circles seemed to be there to secure the long red cape he was wearing which gave him a feeling of royalty.

His arms were covered in little plates of silver-colored metal with each of them linked together to make a metal coating over his arms which ended just before his hands.

This was Thor Odinson, the God of Thunder and Strength.

Hearing what he said, I secretly thanked him. Though I knew he was wrong about why I didn't have my memories, it gave me a good cover.

Cap and Natasha came out of their pondering and looked over at Thor, obviously hoping he'd elaborate.

"Think of it like this: The way I travel through the Bifrost is like how you humans use those elevators to go up and down a building, while this boy, right here," he slapped my back sending me forward a little, "traveled through the Bifrost in the same way a human would if they threw themselves off the top of the building; like a suicidal maniac! Hahahaha!" Thor let out a mighty laugh and he continued to slap my back.

Ouch, I think he nearly broke something then...

But seriously, he's not called one of the strongest for nothing, the man oozes the Strength Force. Not in the same way that I'm a conduit for the Force but his body is just naturally that powerful that the Strength Force gathers around him. Not that he can use any of its powers, though.

I was brought out of my thinking by another slap on the back and more boisterous laughter, "Haha! What do you say, boy? Fancy a spar with me? You were practically uninjured by that fall and you healed incredibly quickly from whatever injuries you had...I feel that you'd be a worthy opponent!"

More back slapping continued. I'm gonna have to stay away from this big oaf.

"Hmm, maybe... but first I'd like to get more familiar with wherever I am, however..." I spoke absentmindedly, agreeing to my own doom apparently.

"Leave the kid alone, Thor, we need to question him some more...however, if he truly doesn't have any of his memories, that could prove difficult..." Fury huffed before speaking once more, "Nonetheless, we need to get a read on you, to see how you are up here," he tapped his own head. Great, they want to know if I'm mental or not.

"That should be fine, but could someone tell me where I am?" I politely smiled, putting my charisma to the max. I needed to act like I didn't know where I was or who any of them were, otherwise I'd be seen as a danger to them all seeing as I know all their secrets.

Fury seemed dazed for a minute before he realized he hadn't introduced himself told the boy in front of him where he was.

"The name's Nick Fury, by the way, and you're currently on S.H.I.E.L.D's main HQ. We brought you here after we found you in the crater you made...I hope you don't mind but we did run some medical tests on you," he smiled at me with an annoying smile which annoyed me.

Does it matter if I mind? You've already done the tests, you damn spy!

But to keep up appearances, I politely smiled, thinking of how I could make Fury's life into a constant string of annoyances.

"No, it's fine, I guess. Just don't go around giving my DNA to people, please..." I wryly smiled which garnered a laugh from both Thor and Fury.

"Don't worry, we only ran a few tests and before we could do anymore you're blood just evaporated...you know why or anything?" he curious looked at me, his one eye staring a hole right into me.

Hmm...my blood disappeared? Awesome. Nonetheless, I've gotta find a way to erase the test results from my blood...Luckily my main powers don't come from my Angel bloodline but from my Strength and Sage Forces, both of which shouldn't appear in my DNA.

"Umm, not really. Never really had my blood taken before, so I've got no idea why it evaporated," I shrugged my shoulders showing I didn't know why my blood disappeared. Which was partly true. I didn't know exactly why it disappeared but I could take a guess that it was because of the Angels who sent me here.

Hearing my answer, Fury continued to stare at me before turning around and motioning me and the others to follow him.

{A/N - Before any of you start to complain/rant at me about S.H.I.E.L.D taking his DNA, what did you think they were gonna do? Leave him be? Bah! You obviously don't know S.H.I.E.L.D, they're a bunch of spies who take any opportunity and advantage they can get their hands on, so of course they'd take his DNA! The test results are pretty useless anyway as he's a half-Angel, a being based off of divinity rather than science. They can just tell he isn't human. So, don't go thinking they're gonna make a clone out of him or whatever.
