Viel has been going around the port town for more than half an hour now, taking photos of everything he could, even strangers. But for some reason, the strangers seem to have taken a liking to him and even giving him some food and whatever else they could give.

He also took photos of Diao Chan and Yinji who were resting in the port, sneakily keeping a single photo of Yinji inside his [Item Box].

Sofia, who was still confused about what she was feeling, could not help but watch Viel play around with his new toy. Ever since he suddenly kissed her on the cheek, she had been feeling a whole lot differently whenever she looked at Viel.

The people of this world do age differently. Yinji was ancient and was even almost older than her kingdom. But Yinji doesn't look a day older than her, so ultimately, in this world, age was just a num--

No. Sofia quickly shook her head to get rid of her thoughts. Even if it was just in the span of two years, she watched Viel grow up. This… is definitely wrong. She shouldn't even be thinking about something like this.

This was not the reason why she came to this world. She came here to help uncover Viel's identity and help him from whatever it is that is consuming him.

"W...woah!"

Sofia's thoughts were then disrupted by a loud whistling sound. She quickly looked towards the direction of the noise, only to see a boat… hovering over the waters.

"What… kind of boat is this?", Sofia could not help but tilt her head.

"Oho", the helmsman quickly noticed Sofia's curious look and could not help but let out a laugh, "This my lady, is called a Hover Boat"

"Hover boat?", Diao Chan intruded in the conversation, "Did you get this from the Dungeons?"

"We got the idea", the helmsman said in a proud tone, "But no ma'am, this was built here in our lands"

Diao Chan was quite impressed. For them to bring something like this from the portal, the Western Continent truly did integrate the artifacts from the dungeons into their countries.

Unlike the Eastern Continents, the Western Continent lacked divine artifacts. Even the number of their cultivators is minuscule if you compare it to the East and most of their population are normal people.

Their physical prowess are stronger than that of the people from the east. But sadly, only the rich had access to cultivation. Even now that their economy has been boosted by the appearance of the dungeons, the poor still get almost nothing.

"Come on in!"

The group then quickly got inside the hover boat, "You may want to hold the bars!", the helmsman shouted as the hover boat started to make noise, "This thing is very fast!"

"Hmph", Lu Xun could not help but scoff. How fast could this inferior artifact from the dungeon be? He thought. He had ridden on flying divine sword befo--

Before Lu Xun could finish gloating, he felt the wind slam on his face as the boat moved forward at an unbelievable speed.

If it wasn't for Yinji catching him by the collars, then he would have surely fallen to the ocean. Sadly, his face was now directly behind Viel. Viel, who had a long luscious set of hair. Lu Xun could not help but spew and shake his face as the strands of Viel's hair got inside his mouth.

Viel, however, has not even noticed Lu Xun's unfortunate situation as he was busy taking in the air as he laughed. The breeze of the ocean was somewhat refreshing, albeit sticky.

"Can I drive it!?", he then said as he looked towards the steering wheel.

"Viel!", Diao Mei quickly tried to pull him away, "Why do you always ask if you can drive!?"

"I drove a flying one before", Viel shouted, "I am sure I can drive this one as well!"

"What!?", Diao Mei could not help but widen her eyes as she held her hair to prevent it from swinging, "Where!?"

"Back in…"

Viel once again told his stories back in the first dungeon that he entered in. Lu Xun, who was previously doubtful of the stories about Viel, was not listening inattentively. Ever since he saw what he did during the brief incident with the Spirit of the Ocean, he was now more inclined to believe Viel. It was not because he took a photo of him and Diao Mei close together, not at all.

Hearing Viel's stories, the helmsman could not help but laugh, "You have some interesting stories there, don't you, laddy?", he said, "How long did you stay in the Eastern Continents?"

"What?"

"Aren't you and that woman with glasses here as their guide?", the helmsman looked at Diao Mei and the rest, "Is the city that's under attack your home?"

"What? No!", Viel quickly shook his head, "I have never even been here before!"

"What? You serious there, lad?", the helmsman could not help but squint his eyes as he looked at Viel's long golden hair that's smoothly flowing with the wind. He did look quite different, probably the most handsome lad he had ever seen. But still, his long golden hair reminded him of something.

"I thought you were a son of nobility!", he then said.

"Nobility?", Van could not help but scoff. Of course, he looked like a noble, he owns his own city. Viel thought.

"Yeah!", the helmsman quickly nodded, "Your golden hair reminds me of a noble family that I used to work for!"

"That's impossible!", this time, Diao Mei was the one to speak, "Viel was born in the east. He probably doesn't even know how to speak your language!"

"What?", the helmsman was confused. He was about to say something, but then he realized that the girl had a wand of language hanging on her waist, "...Oh, that's weird!".

The helmsman then placed his attention towards Sofia, "What about you then, missy?", he said, "Are ye from around here?"

"...I am farther west", Sofia muttered as she fixed her spectacles.

"Oho, I can see that", the helmsman let out a hum. He then focused his eyes forward, "We will be in our destination any minute now!"

"Already!?"

"Well… not quite", the helmsman chuckled, "I can't really take you to the city's docks since there might be monsters!"

"Take us there directly", Yinji, who has been quiet the whole ride, suddenly spoke.

"But… it's dangerous", the helmsman could not help but stutter.

"Please!", Diao Chan also started to speak, there was a certain desperation in her tone, "We will pay you double!"

"I… it's not about money, madam!", the helmsman quickly shook his head, "You have to understand--"

"We will pay you 30x your rate"

Before the helmsman could finish his words, Yinji interrupted her with an offer.

"M… Matriarch!?", Diao Chan could not help but blink her eyes numerous times in disbelief.

The helmsman, however, could only take a gulp as he nodded happily.

And just like what the helmsman said, they have reached the docks of the city after 10 minutes. The group quickly jumped from the hover boat, not even saying a word to the helmsman.

The helmsman was about to ask for his pay, but Yinji suddenly summoned 5 golden swords on top of his boat.

"This!?"

"More than what we promised", Yinji calmly said as she started to run to the inside of the city. There were fires everywhere, but even more than the flames, the corpses were much more obvious.

There were dead bodies littered everywhere. Humans and monsters alike, in every direction and as far as the eyes could see.

Diao Mei and Diao Chan could not help but stray their eyes, afraid that they might see General Diao among the dead.

But then, as soon as they heard a roar from afar, Diao Chan's eyes quickly lit up. "That sounds like…"

"It's grandfather!", Diao Mei continued her mother's words as she quickly rushed towards the direction of the shout.

The group did not have to run far before they could see the General's long elegant beard flowing in the air along with every swing of his halberd, cleaving through dozens of monsters.

"Father!", Diao Chan quickly called for her father as soon as she saw him.

"D-daughter!?", General Diao easily got distracted as he turned his attention towards the familiar voice. This, however, caused him to completely lower his guard.

"!!!"

But before anything could happen to him, his vision was blocked by a gold robe, hitting him straight in the face.

"This…", General Diao could not help but blink his eyes numerous times as he saw the familiar face in front of him.

And with a gulp, he muttered…

"B… baby!?"

"What?"

Yinji could not help but frown as soon as she heard what General Diao called her.

"I… I mean master!", General Diao gulped as he quickly saluted.

"I'm not your master, little Diao", Yinji's frown grew even stronger as she stared General Diao in the eye.

"S… sorry"
