Chapter 167: Earthen Core Realm

Viel once again took a good look at all the other children in the building. They were told that they could go home once they train for a while with the Heaven Bamboo sect?

What kind of nonsense was that? Why… would they even tell them that?

Why give them false hope?

These people are never going to be able to go home.

Suddenly, Viel felt his chest tighten as his eyebrows started to shake. Slowly, a heavy feeling started to creep up throughout his body-- rage.

'Should I just… destroy them now?', Viel's breaths started to become heavy, as the anger inside him was trying to gush out violently.

The people of this world were given the opportunity to explore the Dungeons, the other worlds, and yet they use it to abduct and abuse the citizens of the other worlds?

Abducting children? Would they have done the same thing to baby Zachary if he was aliv--

With the thought of baby Zachary, Viel quickly shook his head as the rage inside of him slowly died down, balanced by another.

He tried to calm his wild breaths by inhaling deeply. For now, he should focus on the mission at hand. Even if these children will not be able to go home, it would still be better for them to be freed from the Heaven Bamboo sect.

"Viel, are you alright?"

With Viel suddenly turning quiet, Tilly waved her hand in front of him, completely waking Viel up from his stupor.

"You suddenly went quiet", Tilly said.

Viel then looked at Tilly and Aluel, his eyes filled with weight.

"Can I trust the two of you?", Viel whispered.

"Of course!"

And without hesitation, Tilly shouted with conviction and Aluel nodded his head.

"Then…", Viel slowly leaned and closer and beckoned the two to do the same, "In truth, I have come here to rescue you"

"Wha-!?"

Tilly slightly moved backward in shock, but before she could shout, Viel placed his finger on her lips, trying to shush her down.

"Please, don't be too loud", Viel said.

Tilly could not help but nod numerous times as she felt Viel's finger on her lips. Her face was once again blushing as she awkwardly returned to her spot. Leaning in closer to Viel to listen to him again, but of course this time, slightly averting her eyes to the side.

"Rescue us?", Aluel whispered as he tilted his head, "What do you mean?"

Hearing Aluel's words, Viel looked up towards the roof, which had a huge clear hole where the sunlight easily passes.

"I can easily give my friends a signal…", Viel pointed his finger towards the ceiling, "...and they will proceed to the last phase of the plan"

"Last phase of the plan?", Tilly squinted her eyes.

"Yes", Viel nodded his head. But then, a complicated expression wrapped his face as he once again looked around the building, "But we need to find a way to gather all the children that were abducted in one place".

"The only way we can go outside is to learn this cultivation nonsense", Tilly clicked her tongue. The other children were no longer here and are currently already being trained by the Heaven Bamboo sect somewhere outside.

"I have actually already unlocked my meridians and reached this stage they call the Earthen Core Realm", Tilly added, "I just refuse to follow them. Anyone that forces children to work are bad men!", Tilly's eyes were full of resolution as she rolled up her fists in the air.

Aluel aggressively nodded in agreement as he heard Tilly's words.

Viel placed his hand on his chin.

What if they all learn how to cultivate and reach the Earthen Core Realm? He thought.

But he doesn't know the first thing about cultivation, he traversed the other worlds before he could even learn anything about it.

Wait… What about Miss Lu Yi? Viel was sure that she knew something about cultivation… but she was currently asleep right now.

Maybe Mr. Voice knows something?

And so, with a long sigh of frustration…

'Mr. Voice, you awake?'

***

"Mr. Voice, you awake?", Viel's words echoed throughout the vast darkness, "Do you know anything about how to raise other people's cultivation in a very fast way?"

His words rippled loudly, and yet, the three souls, Lu Yi, Xanthus, and Jack remained unconscious and stagnant as they floated in the air with their arms stretched.

[Searching Lu Yi's memories], Mr. Voice's monotonous tone ringed.

"What!? No. What are you doing?", the ringing quickly stopped as Viel's voice drowned the darkness, "Miss Lu Yi is asleep, it's rude to do something like that"

[...Canceling the search on Lu Yi's memories]

"Good, good", Viel's satisfied voice echoed throughout the darkness, "Tch, don't you know anything about etiquette, Mr. Voice? You don't just search up people's memories when they are asleep"

[...]

"Ack, anyway. I'll find a way myself", the darkness once again lost all of its liveliness once Viel's voice dispersed.

However, there was a single movement in the dead of darkness-- a twitch.

Lu Yi's closed eyes were convulsing as her head shook violently.

'Baby… Viel…'

'I can hear… voice'

'Are you… calling for me?'

'Calling… calling… for me'

'Need me?'

'Wake up… I must… Viel… needs me'

And slowly, Lu Yi's jaw started to tremble as a weak voice seeped from her mouth.

"I... must... wake up"

Lu Yi's silent whispers echoed throughout the darkness. Once again, giving life to the darkness, even if it was ever so lightly.

So, cultivation is a no go. But how else can Viel bring all of the children together? Should he use Hell's Gate?

Viel quickly shook his head. One mistake and all of these children are dead.

"Ack!", Viel wanted to pull his hair out in frustration. If only he could use mind control, then he would just order the Heaven Bamboo sect to bring all of the children here.

"Uhmm…"

As Viel was almost dying in thinking of a way to safely bring the children all together, Aluel raised his hand.

"There is that one time that someone was sent back here", Aluel meekly said.

"Oh!", Tilly clapped her hands, "You mean that?"

Aluel nodded his head.

"What… is it?", Viel quickly leaned in closer, "Stop with the suspense and just say it"

"2 boys were sent back here for causing trouble"

"Trouble?", Viel squinted his eyes, "What kind of trouble?"

"They told us that they got into a fight with a disciple", Aluel whispered, "They were sent back here as punishment"

"I see", Viel placed his hand on his chin, and after a few seconds, his mouth slightly twitched as he came up with a genius idea.

"Perhaps I can go?", Tilly raised her hand, "Please let me help you. Since I am already at the Earthen Core realm, I can easily go out just by telling the guards that I changed my mind and want to train with the re--"

"No", Viel instantly refused as he shook his head, "Not you"

"But--"

"I will go"

Viel stood up before Tilly could even finish her words, a huge mischievous smile was plastered on his face.

This Heaven Bamboo sect has been getting on his nerves ever since he learned that they abducted children from the Dungeons. Then giving them false hope by telling them that they could go home?

If it is trouble they want, then he will give them all the trouble he can provide. Consider it an appetizer for the punishment that is about to befall them, Viel thought as he chuckled slightly.

"Ah! So you are a cultivator, Viel?", Tilly clapped her hands, "It makes sense since you are here to rescue us"

"..."

"Ack!", Viel once again almost pulled his hair out in frustration as he once again sat on the ground with Tilly and Aluel.

But after a few seconds of his head down on the ground. Viel looked at Tilly, his eyes full of passion. Another genius idea surfaced in his mind… he thought.

Tilly could not help but avert her eyes to the side as her face once again slightly turned red. She wasn't expecting Viel to suddenly look at her like that.

"I am not a cultivator…", Viel whispered as he slowly leaned towards Tilly, "...But you are"

Hearing this, Tilly's face was slightly filled with confusion, "I… thought you said I shouldn't go?"

"No", Viel shook his head, "You...

...will help me reach this Earthen Core realm before the day ends"

"...What? B… before the day ends?", Tilly could not help but blink her eyes a couple of times, trying to figure out if she heard Viel right, "But it took me months to even reach the Earthen Core realm!"

Aluel nodded in agreement. He has also been here for months, and he still couldn't understand the idea about this thing called cultivation.

Hearing this, Viel quickly shook his head. "You do not have to worry about anything like that…", Viel's placed his hand on Tilly's shoulder.

"I happen to be a very fast learner"
