Chapter 152: Triple T

"Number 102… Rank D"

"!!!"

Guanbei, who had been thoroughly shocked by Viel's performance earlier, could not help but laugh internally. He was kind of pissed off that the handsome man was of a higher ranking than him even though he destroyed more targets than him. And now, seeing Number 102 get a lower ranking than him, he had a reason to gloat again.

The audience, who were previously quiet as they waited for their breaths in anticipation of the golden-haired kid's evaluation, released loud gasps as they looked at each other.

But still, they did not want to say anything as some of them believed that the golden-haired kid was some kind of ancient cultivator. But of course, the one that was most shocked about this result was Viel.

"R-rank D!?", Viel held his head, "But I hit all the targets!", he said as he dramatically kneeled on the floor again.

"Yes, that is exactly why", Examiner An Da released a cough, "As I said before the test started, the Blue targets represented the dungeon's natives, and you also destroyed all of them. The worst thing we could do is kill a resident of another world, you are lucky to even be given a ranking"

"But Xiao Pei...I thought we were friends…", Viel whispered, "...How about I give you candy for old time's sake?"

"I am An Da! An Da! Do you really not remember me?", examiner An Da could not help but groan in frustration.

The audience were confused. So the golden-haired kid and the examiner knew each other? What exactly was happening?

Hearing the audience once again whispering to each other, An Da officially announced the end of the tests, forcefully kicking out the curious gazes and ears of the gossipers. Some of the other applicants that have passed were also quite curious as to the identity of Number 102.

But alas, they too were told to leave the platform as soon as they received their ranks. Sofia as well, excused herself as she told Viel that she will wait for him outside.

With everyone else gone inside the hall, only An Da, Viel, Xing Cai, and Guang Yan were left.

"Why did you cancel the rest of the tests?", Xing Cai asked An Da as soon as she jumped from the audience stand.

"Ah! Elder Xing Cai!", examiner An Da bowed, "I was not mistaken, this boy really is Viel!", he said in an excited tone.

"Why did you stop the tests?", once again, Xing Cai repeated her question. She was really looking to see how much Viel has changed in terms of his power, or control thereof.

Lifting the platform? She already knew that Viel was more than capable of doing that even before he disappeared. If anything, But him stopping before he could hit the other applicants with the platform, that was an improvement, no? Xing Cai thought.

After a long sigh, An Da finally answered Xing Cai's question.

Truth is, as soon as he saw the shining golden hair of applicant number 102, he already had a growing suspicion that it was Viel.

And when it was his turn to take the test, he became sure of it. Who else would be capable of so much absurdity, and without care for other people? He still clearly remembered what happened 7 years ago when the boy enrolled for the Taizhou Academy. Children peeing in their pants and crying for their mommies, he did not want to see a version of that repeated with adults.

If he already lifted the platform during the first test, An Da could not imagine what he was going to do on the last one. Lift the whole building or something? No, that will not be allowed.

"...I see", hearing An Da's sound reasoning, Xing Cai nodded in agreement.

"W-what…?", Guang Yan, however, had her jaws open the entire conversation. Why were they talking as if what Viel just did was something normal? He lifted the entire platform like it was a piece of thin wood! And how was he even able to balance himself!?

But the two continued to have a conversation, not minding the baffled Guang Yan on the side.

After a few more minutes of talking and asking about Viel, An Da was finally satisfied.

But it would seem that Xing Cai still had something to talk to An Da about concerning yesterday's dungeon, as he asked Viel to wait for them outside.

"O-okay…", and so, with a little hesitation due to getting a low rank, Viel grudgingly walked out of the training hall.

Some of the applicants were still inside the building, either talking to each other or registering themselves for another slot to take the test.

And as soon as Viel exited from the training hall, most of the people that saw him step out instantly stopped talking. Viel, of course, noticed this, but he didn't really mind. It was just one of the burdens of being handsome, he thought.

He then looked around, trying to find Sofia. After a few minutes of walking around, he finally saw her. She was currently talking to applicant number 95, the handsome man wearing the white robe.

Viel was about to approach them, but three people suddenly blocked his path.

"Hm?", Viel quickly looked at the faces of the three people. They were covered in cloaks, with only their faces being shown. It was the trio of dark-skinned foreigners. As soon as they noticed that they got Viel's attention, they all unveiled their hood at the same time.

Truly, they were beautiful. The other people in the vicinity could not help but take long second glances as soon as they saw the three remove their hood. Their dark brown skin was almost golden as it minutely reflected the lights, and their white hair even further allowed their skin to glow. The three of them were also tall, even taller than Sofia.

Seeing three beautiful women suddenly standing in front of him, Viel could not help but be nervous. It was weird, ever since he met Matriarch Yinji, he was now always starting to feel weird whenever a female stranger approaches him or is near him.

"D-do you need something?", Viel's face slightly reddened as he tried avoiding the eyes of the three beautiful women.

The shortest one of the trio slowly stepped forward and leaned towards Viel.

"W-what is it!?", Viel was frozen stiff.

"Are you with the others, sir?", she whispered.

Viel could not help but shiver like there were thousands of needles puncturing his body as the woman's deep and husky voice echoed through his ear.

...Deep and husky voice?

"O-oy, w-what the fuck!", Viel quickly took a step back as soon as he heard the… woman's voice, clearly shaken by her unexpected voice.

"Sshhh!", she placed her finger on Viel's lips as she shushed, "J-just act natural, sir", once again whispered the… woman.

"We didn't mean to startle you, sir. We were just surprised to see someone of your status here", another deep and low voice echoed through Viel's ear as the tallest of the trio spoke, "And as expected, you already have ties within the city. Good work, sir"

"Have you heard anything suspicious yet, sir?", the last one of the trio, whose hair was braided, spoke as well, "O-one of the women they took was our sister"

"Is… something wrong, sir?"

Viel's eyes were now thoroughly squinted as he scanned the three people in front of him, staring at them from head to toe. Viel had no idea what the three in front of him were talking about.

"I… think you have mistaken me for someone else", Viel said.

"Ah!", the smallest one in the trio released a light gasp, "A-are we breaking your disguise?"

"We're deeply sorry, sir!"

Viel's confusion grows even stronger. But more importantly, he still couldn't get over with how deep the voice is of these 3 women. The shortest of the trio even had a voice almost as deep as Diao Mei's grandfather.

Could it be…

"...Are the three of you… men?", Viel squinted his eyes once again.

"S-sir?", the three could not help but gulp as they heard Viel's words, "D-did we do something wrong to offend you?"

"I told you, we shouldn't have approached him. He was clearly in disguise"

"S-shut up, this is your fault"

The three started to argue with each other, their deep voices echoing through Viel's ears.

"I am serious", Viel's tone started to turn cold, "Who are you three?"

"Ah, f-forgive our rudeness, sir!", the three instantly stopped arguing, "We are known as the Ascheerit brothers!"

"B-brothers?", Viel stuttered, "S...so, you're all men?"

"This…", the three had complicated expressions on their faces. What exactly did they do wrong, that they were being asked this question?

But finally, after a few seconds, the one with the braided hair gathered her...his courage and spoke up.

"Y-yes, we are all men here, sir!", he said in a confident tone.

Hearing this, Viel's eyes widened in shock.

Men looking like women...

...How was that even possible!?
