"N..no...Oh no"

The color of Sofia's face was pale, the blood oozing from her nose was no small amount as it dripped on the ground. She ordered her feet to walk, but her body no longer has the strength to do so, causing her to kneel on the ground.

"I...I must.."

She could no longer feel Viel's presence or the mana surrounding him. Wasn't she supposed to experience the new world? To travel with Viel and unlock the mysteries clouding over him? If he was no longer here, then how was she able to do any of that?

"V...viel… please", she whispered, "...Please be alright"

"We're going home, father"

The soft dirt was slightly being parted by Viel's feet as was currently swaying as the Usurper was dragging him by the collars.

Droplets of blood were also sliding on Viel's body as blood dripped from his face profusely, a huge scar adorning his left cheek all the way to his eyebrows.

"You have really grown weaker, father", the Usurper said as he kept dragging him over the dirt, "...But there's no use killing you here"

"You will pay for your crimes in our universe, judged and humiliated by the people there", the Usurper chuckled as a wide grin appeared on his face, "...and I will be the one to personally cut off your he-"

Before the Usurper could finish his ravings, a monotonous voice echoed in the air.

[...Ignis]

"!!!"

The Usurper instantly let go of Viel and jumped back in surprise as soon as he heard the monotonous voice. He then put up his guard, pointing the spear towards Viel, who was now floating in the air like a lifeless puppet being held on strings.

Viel's eyes were once again filled with fireflies. The green flickering lights danced on his eyes as he stared at the Usurper straight in the eyes. The huge wound on his face also started to heal, leaving only a tiny scar as a reminder. But soon, even the scar faded away.

"I..it's you…", the Usurper stuttered as his defensive stance started to loosen up, "Where's my father!?"

[Original Player: Rain is asleep… your Parent is asleep]

A voice came out of Viel, but his mouth was unmoving.

"Asleep?", the Usurper whispered as he totally let go of his guard, "Then wake him up then. I have no business with you, Systi", the Usurper said, the traces of anger on his face completely gone.

[Impossible, your Parent is incomplete]

"In...complete?", the Usurper squinted as he pursed his lips, "Then who…"

[Viel is the Current Player]

"Viel… this boy?", a frown appeared on the Usurper's face as he released a slight gasp, "This little boy is your current holder?"

[...Negative]

[...Preservation of Original Player: Rain is the top priority]

"...So you are using this little boy… just to recover father?", the Usurper placed his hand on his chin, "I expected more from you, Systi. Is my father finally rubbing on you?"

[...]

[Retreat, Ignis. If you do not, I will eliminate you myself]

[...Preservation of Original Player: Rain is the top priority]

Using a little boy? I expected more from you. Father rubbing on you?

[Retreat, usurper. If you do not, I will eliminate you myself]

With the Voice's words, a shadow suddenly appeared behind Viel. And inside the shadow, were 3 sets of eyes, all peering ominously towards the Usurper.

The Usurper once again quickly tightened the grip on his spear, but after a few seconds, the spear disappeared as he let out a silent sigh and raised both his hands in resignation.

"I do not have qualms with you, Systi", the Usurper said with a wry smile on his face.

As soon as the Usurper said this, Viel's body quickly dropped to the ground.

"Fuh...What!?", a loud gasp came out from Viel as soon as he hit on the ground. He quickly stood up and put up his stance as he saw the Usurper standing in front of him.

"You!", Viel said as he hastily rushed with his fist towards the Usurper. But before his fist could reach the Usurper's nose, he stopped.

He stopped as the Usurper's hands were raised in the air.

"What are you doing?", Viel squinted as his hand shook.

"I also have no qualms with you, kid", the Usurper sighed, his voice almost containing pity, "You are just another victim of my father's games"

The Usurper then clicked his tongue as he slowly floated in the air.

"Where are you going!?", Viel shouted as he watched as the Usurper flies away.

"I am leaving, what else", casually said the Usurper.

"Who said you can leave!?", Viel waved his hand as he screamed, "You killed my friend!"

Hearing Viel's ramblings, the Usurper could only sigh, "If you mean the big tittied insect from when we last met, then she should be alive"

"What!?"

The Usurper continued to sigh as he looked at Viel, his eyes full of mocking compassion, "I guess I will stay in the Planet of the Gods for now, lots of sexy babes there last I visited", the Usurper whispered, "Sorry about the mess, kid. I'll buy you a drink if ever you visit the place, if you are still you, that is"

The Usurper laughed as he flew away, "Don't worry, before father completely takes over your body, I will kill you myself", the Usurper's laugh got stronger the farther he flew up, "Consider it as mercy! HAHAHAHAHA!"

"Wait!", Viel shouted. He wanted to follow the Usurper, but a deep headache filled his head before he can even fly a single meter.

"Ugh… I don't feel so good", uttered Viel as he touched his head. He then looked around him, nothing but wasteland for miles.

He still did not know what the man called Usurper wanted from him. First he called Viel his father, and now he is saying that his father is taking over his body?

And the man even abruptly left before Viel can ask anymore questions. But if what the Usurper said was true... then was there a chance that Xianying was alive? And how was the Usurper able to find him this time? But more importantly, how did he arrive here?

If Viel was also able to travel at will-

"!!!"

Viel's thoughts instantly stopped as he remembered about something important.

"Wait...Sofie!"

Viel then disappeared from his spot as he rushed back towards the portal. There, near the portal, Sofia was weakly kneeling on the ground.

"Sofie!?", Viel quickly held Sofia's arms as he saw her frail appearance.

"V...viel…", Sofia's weak eyes widened as she saw Viel, "Y-you're alive!".

And even with her tired body, she then hugged Viel as tight as she could.

"Y-yes", Viel stuttered as he felt Sofia's breath on his neck. His face slightly blushing.

It took a few seconds before the two of them let go of each other.

"That… red-haired man, who was that?", Sofia said as she took off her spectacles.

"...A crazy person", Viel said as he looked above the skies. His eyes then settled on the portal, his eyes immediately turning wide as he did so, "Oh!?"

"W-what is it!?", Sofia quickly turned her head towards the portal, she couldn't take any more surprises.

"Your other bag is gone", Viel said as he pointed at the tattered and dirty clothes strewn on the ground.

But at least her other bag seemed unharmed. Sofia could not even react. If it were any other time, then she would have gone ballistic, but she was just too tired to react to such trivial things anymore.

She then felt Viel's hand gently tapping her shoulders. "It's alright...", Viel said as he shook his head, "...My sister is rich, she can buy you new clothes"

"...", Sofia did not even know what to say to that.

"This is it, Sofie", Viel then said in a serious tone, "Are you sure you want to go?"

Hearing this question, Sofia could not help but look back at the extent of the damage from Viel's battle. The ground they were standing on was like a little patch of grass compared to the colossal crater that surrounded them for miles.

Can she… really follow Viel?

No, she must. To uncover the mysteries surrounding Viel, she must.

If all she needed was strength, then she would get it... No matter the costs.

And without even answering Viel, she picked up her remaining bag and stood in front of the portal.

Viel could only smile as he too, stood in front of the portal. He then held Sofia's hand tightly, but even then, Sofia felt Viel's trembling hand.

Sofia could not help but sigh, maybe she should be the one asking Viel if he wanted to go? But she only shook her head as she tightened her grip on Viel's hand.

And finally, after a long and unfaltering breath from Viel, he slowly moved his foot forward.

"...Let's go home then"
