Chapter 162 - 156 - It's a Mini Nuke

"I don't know what Beacon's Headmaster is teaching his students, but that was disgraceful! Completely uncalled for!" A person was saying sitting in a bar watching the fight.

"It seems that he's stronger than all the troops so they can't do anything about it." The bartender said while cleaning a glass.

The bartender switched the channel seeing that Shallot was walking off with Ozpin next to him while Ironwood had his mean get the three soldiers to some medics.

On the new channel, it was a reporter reporting that several Grimm – Goliaths, Ursai, Nevermores, Boarbatusks, and Beowolves – running across Mountain Glenn towards the city. Despite Atlas reinforcements, local authorities are still calling on any available Huntsmen to aid in suppressing the spike in Grimm activity.

While Shallot was walking his scroll started buzzing and looked at it. He saw that he got a news ping saying that there was a large number of Grimm heading toward the city.

"Ozpin, Grimm are closing in on the city. I'm going to deal with that so I can enjoy watching the other matches." Shallot said while walking toward the exit.

"I wasn't expecting Grimm to be coming here since I've been dealing with Salem but it seems that she sent them before our training sessions." Shallot said to himself while walking to the doors pushing them open.

Shallot continued walking until he made it to the edge of the floating arena island. There were some people nearby and seeing that it was Shallot wanted to stay away after seeing what happened in the arena.

Shallot was flying for about 10 minutes when he saw that there were some Hunters below firing at the Grimm. Shallot floated down next to one of the Hunters who was about to turn and fire at him when Shallot lifted his hand firing a ki blast into the hoard of Grimm.

The ki blast exploded in the center creating a large crater in the center. The hunter stopped what he was about to do with some sweat dripping down his back.

"You all can head back. I will handle this." Shallot said while holding his hand out in front of him with his palm facing up.

He started gathering ki in his hand and compressing it. The hunter next to him was starting to sweat and moved away from Shallot.

The energy and his hand were growing larger and larger when he lifted it above his head. It looked like a miniature sun to the ones around him. The only difference was that he was red instead of yellow.

"Mini Nuke." Shallot said while moving his hand forward sending the ki attack forward.

The ones that were close by fighting could see the glow in the sky and looked up.

"What the hell is that!!!?" One of the Hunters screamed out getting the other's attention. They looked and saw the Ki attack and they all started retreating running for their lives.

After all the Hunters and Huntresses were back toward the mountain area. They climbed to the top they could see the ki attack slowly falling into the middle of the horde.

"What kind of attack was that?!?" One of the Huntresses said while looking over at Shallot who was the one behind the attack.

"Just something to deal with the small fries." Shallot said while looking at the mushroom cloud that had spread.

After the dust cleared after they all were looking seeing that it left a crater of 390 meters in diameter. The hole was 100 meters deep with no Grimm surviving the attack.

"Well, it seems that I'm done. If there are any more Grimm that come then notify the news so that I can be back over here." Shallot said when he was about to leave someone called him.

"Who are you?" An elderly Hunter asked who had a grizzly looked worn out who was breathing heavily while having a swollen right eye. He had a giant bastard sword on his back and was one of the main people hacking through the Grimm.

"The strongest being on the planet, Shallot." Shallot said while flying away.

~~~
The news reporter was still filming and had made sure to capture everything from the attack to the detonation that looked like a world-ending disaster.
The people-watching had their mouths hanging open seeing the mushroom cloud rise into the sky. The newscaster went around asking people questions until the clouds had cleared and they could see.
When everything cleared their mouths were opened again seeing the level of destruction. It was easily enough to take out one of the main city's if that ever went off.
The last shot they got was Shallot flying away leaving the others there looking with surprise not having heard of any Hunter having a flying semblance.
"What type of monsters are they training at that school?" One of the people watching inside a bar dropped his glass saying the obvious.
~~~

A screen within a warehouse flicked off.

"Hey, I was watching that!" Mercury said while working on making him some legs so he can at least get around.

"And we are supposed to somehow beat that monster?" Emerald said looking at what was a Grimm army thinking about how they are supposed to attack the city when he is so close.

"Enough. Our Mercury put on a wonderful show. He was quite brave." Cinder said not sure if Shallot would have gone further if it wasn't a tournament.

"These things aren't exactly cheap, you know. Now I have to make another set since I would have to custom order these." Mercury was complaining since the legs were destroyed.

"So, what's next?" Emerald asked while trying to come up with a way for them to achieve their goal.

"You and I will ensure that our next matchup goes just as smoothly." Cinder said wanting to make sure that things don't go as bad as this one.

"What about me? I can't walk right now." Mercury said while pointing to his stubs that were in the partially broken mechanical legs.

"You get to lay low until the end. Even if you had your legs you would still have to stay hidden or the plan wouldn't be able to work. Shallot has made this easier since he showed everyone that he is a monster in his own way." Cinder said while thinking of what to do since the Grimm was part of the main plan.

"Can do," Mercury said while reaching into a box pulling some parts and adding them to the piece that he is working on.
