Chapter 118 - Genius

Cyril waited for Bonnie to finish concocting the potion. Thanks to his storage space, he easily brought all the tools she needs and could start immediately.

Anyway, it would probably take several hours so he has plenty of time to waste.

From the three remaining sets of raw materials, successfully refining even one of them would be enough to cover all the other expenses they made.

This may not be a healing potion that is probably being sought after by many rich people, but this Impulse Insight Potion can increase the power of an Awakened!

Sometimes, a single powerful Awakened is better to have than many average ones. This is true on many occasions, especially during large-scale Arcane Explorations.

Meanwhile, Cyril decided to look around the place… He saw five Goblin Warriors as they were tasked to hunt some Beasts for their meal later.

"Are there many beasts around here?" Cyril asked one of the goblins.

"Yes, Master. After those devil worshippers died, there's no one hunting them aside from us. Though there are several large predators as well, the rabbits including the forest rats were still large in number. Ugh… They are too troublesome even if they are weak. These creatures are just too many… We have to hunt them regularly!"

One of the goblin warriors explained as he showed their bags filled with wild horned rabbits.

"I see… Are there other settlements around here? I mean, human settlements…"

"We haven't their settlements… However, if we continued walking in this direction, there are chances that we'll encounter humans. As for their settlement, we haven't seen it once."

"Oh? There are? Just to make sure, they're normal humans like me, right? Not the devil worshippers living in this village before." Cyril asked again since he's aware that in Goblin's eyes, the worshippers were no different from the humans.

"Yes, Master! I can guarantee that. I saw one of them several weeks ago when I was hunting for a wild boar. They aren't capable of using magic and they only use primitive weapons… However, they can be dangerous when we encounter them… They all move nimbly and have good teamwork."

"I see… I'll look into it later."

Cyril couldn't help but feel something wrong with this first Arcane World that he managed to get.

It is quite vast compared to other low-class Arcane World and it also contains ore veins!

Though a low-class Arcane World can have that, it is not a common thing. Just considering the other three Arcane Worlds that he obtained, there are no resources that can be mined there and the space inside was also very small.

They are unlike this Arcane World where humans exist and even a Demon managed to enter this place!

Cyril continued wandering around the village and tried to find any herbs, fruits, or flowers that might be useful before placing them inside his Storage Space… He recognized most of them and as for the others, he would have someone appraise them or perhaps, let Bonnie handle it…

He wanted her to be exposed to many materials or things from the Arcane World after all.

Clank!

Finally, after three hours of waiting, the door of the small house opened and Bonnie came out with a joyful face.

"Cy! Look! I did it! Three sets for three potions! Aren't I amazing?!"

Bonnie boasted as she showed her potion. She looks exhausted right now as several strands of her hair are stuck on her forehead. Her beads of sweat even streak down on her face…

'Ahh… I forgot about the ventilation of the house… Sorry about that.'

Unlike Bonnie's laboratory with air conditioning in the outside world, there's only a small window here and obviously, it wasn't enough.

"Ehem… Congratulations, Aunt! Did you really make three of them successfully? You're truly a genius…"

"Genius?! Haha… I already wasted four sets outside. So successfully making these three should just be enough. Ugh, if I learned about the flaw in the beginning we could've saved more materials…" Bonnie said as she recalled the precious materials being wasted before.

The materials needed to refine this potion were quite difficult to find after all. Cyril spent a lot of money to purchase them from Britta.

After all, a couple of materials needed haven't been inspected yet or didn't pass the Government's tests as of now. In short, they are still questioning whether they are harmful or not.

Of course, if they learned that these materials are core ingredients of the Impulse Insight Potion, they would surely pass it immediately!

Cyril checked one of the potions and saw how beautiful it was…

The liquid was thick and has a bright blue color that shines after the sunlight hit the flask. Even if the flask was capped tightly, Cyril could still smell the alluring aroma coming from it.

"It looks quite tasty…"

"That's true…"

"Well, we can both take one flask… You can make more of them later on anyway. It's better if we know its effects before we can consider selling them in the future."

"That makes sense…" Bonnie then took one of the potions and placed it in her pocket.

For the last one, it would probably be displayed on the shelf for now. After all, it's not like they could just sell a single piece of potion.

If they're going to sell them, they have to make sure that they would have enough reserves in case they would need it themselves.

"Right, Britta also introduced me to an expert appraiser, I will have her appraise this potion. So don't use them yet. I want to make sure that there are indeed no side effects whatsoever." Bonnie added.

"An appraiser? Alright… I'll wait for you to confirm it then. I'll store my potion for now."

Bonnie nodded as she rested for while before she decided to look around the Arcane World as well.

Since this place is safe with Cyril guarding her, she thought that it's not a bad idea to explore for a bit…

"It's not that different from the outside world, huh…"

Bonnie commented after seeing the vast forest and some small magical beasts sticking out their small heads from the bushes.
