Chapter 110 - Auction ( 2 )

Even though Saint Torido Clan has two High-Class Arcane World of Vampires, there are still others with vampires but they are only at the lower levels.

Speaking of which, the lowest level of Vampire is called Vampire Slaves, Newborn Vampires, followed by Thralls, Vampires Knights, Vampire Baron, Vampire Count, and so on…

The Thralls may not be considered really strong but they can be very annoying against C-Rank and B-Rank that doesn't have proper Artifacts.

For F-Ranks to D-Rank Awakened, on the other hand, the Thralls can be a nightmare for them if they do not have enough experience or willpower to face these scary-looking creatures.

"Amazing… I wonder how much would it sell…"

Bonnie knows that Rank-A Artifacts are expensive. However, the exact price was surely beyond her imagination.

As expected, the base price was set by Eve to 10 million!

She had only brought 18 million with her from the profit she earned after selling Lesser Healing Potions.

After she deducted the money she needed to buy raw materials, she was still left with a huge sum. However, she knows that at her level, she may not be able to purchase high-level items and had to focus on acquiring the mid-level ones.

"11 million!"

"11.3 million!"

"20 million! I will take this item with me today!"

An overweight middle-aged man said with decisiveness. Since there are no private rooms arranged in this auction hall, everyone could see the person who made such an instant increase in the price.

Cyril looked at the man but he didn't recognize him. But he didn't have to in the first place.

He heard several people talking about the identity of the person who just bid the price.

"He's Fabrice from Kemmer Clan… I heard that they are developing a better Crystal Hunter…"

"Huh? Isn't the White Wolf Navigation is already doing that? They have the best Crystal Hunter, right?"

"That's true, however, they don't seem to like the fact that the White Wolf has a monopoly with the Crystal Hunting Device…"

"That makes sense… The prices they're giving us are just too much… If they have a giant competitor, they might consider lowering the price then."

Cyril heard their conversation and recalled the Crystal Hunter that he received in exchange for the lesser healing potion before.

It is indeed true that the White Wolf Navigation has a monopoly over the high-end Crystal Hunters. However, there are still other small companies who made similar products but because they were too late in the business and weren't providing innovation, the White Wolf remains the best supplier not only in the country but also to the neighboring countries.

This is why Cyril was truly lucky to befriend Benjo Paras, the head director of the company, through his potion.

"You think you can buy this Artifact for only 20 million? Hmph!"

"50 million!"

This time, the bid came from Myriam Goedert from Saint Torido Clan…

Though there are other rich people within the Auction Hall, they don't seem to be too much interested in the Crown unlike these two.

Anyway, it makes sense for the Torido Clan to aim at such an item considering that they have several Arcane Worlds with Vampire living in it.

Soon, the two battled it out until Myriam raised the bidding price to a staggering amount of 680 million!

This is just too much for its price!

Fabrice clenched his plump fist and gritted his teeth. He may still be able to outbid the woman but doing it wouldn't be beneficial to him. After all, his main target in this auction wasn't this Crown in the first place.

"680 million! Going once! Going twice! Sold to Number 18!" Eve announced as soon as she confirmed that no one would dare to bid anymore.

The auction continued as several Rank-B Artifacts started showing up…

The rare Rank-B Dark Bane Sword was sold for 12 million. The Rank-B Cape of Shadows was sold for 15 million…

Nevertheless, there are items that were sold for a lower price.

An Elf Fortune Token was sold of 600,000 Ains. A special Aura Gathering Array guide book was sold for 750,000 Ains. A doubled-handed Spectral dagger was sold for exactly a million.

These items were indeed affordable but they were obviously not the items that Cyril and Bonnie are searching for.

Luckily, they didn't seem to be going home without purchasing anything…

"The next item now is something very interesting, especially for our potion experts!"

Soon, they found several items being shown on the table. An empty bag, old scrolls, flasks, and a wooden tablet.

"Ehem! This is a bag left behind by an Alchemist from an Arcane World! This Alchemist left behind eight scrolls that none of us could even read. Look at this picture!"

Eve then showed the pictures of the Scrolls that are probably made of sheepskin.

There were indeed texts written but aside from Cyril, no one seems to know how to read them.

"Aside from these scrolls that we like to call Alchemist Notes, there are also 10 empty flasks inside the bag! We first wanted to sell these separately but these flasks appear to be drawn on the scrolls that I've shown you just now… As for this wooden tablet… We're also unaware of its purpose but we can conclude that all these things must be sold together."

The audience doesn't seem to be interested and Eve noticed that. However, she wasn't worried and explained a bit more.

"This wooden tablet that you're seeing right now isn't as simple as you think." Eve paused as she looked at the crowd waiting for her next words.

"If you have fine control with your mental strength, you can send your Aura inside the Tablet and you might learn some interesting Alchemist Techniques!"

Finally a part of the crowd perked up. The existence of alchemists was still a vague topic, to be honest.

This is why not many would want to risk losing money for something that may just end up being a decoration and gather some dust. But with the Stone Tablet, they might finally learn a few more things about them and start a great era of Alchemists in this world!

It may sound ambitious but it might be possible with its help!
