Chapter 95 - Not Fairy

As soon as he returned, Cyril confirmed from Xagan that the price for unsealing the lamp would be worth 30 days of his life.

As for its ability to grant wishes, Xagan wouldn't tell him unless he paid 91 days since it is still unsealed. The price would be lowered if he asked that same question after unsealing it.

"Hmm… Will it be worth the price?" Cyril asked himself.

One month of his remaining lifespan in exchange for unsealing a Cursed Artifact? Cyril couldn't find a good reason to do it.

"Anyway, I only took it to ensure that it wouldn't cause trouble. It's better to keep it for now."

As Cyril thought of this, he found a place on his shelf to store the lamp. However, as soon as he did this, the bags of Redprite Ores started emitting a wave of energy!

"What's going on?" Cyril was confused as this has never happened before.

'Ugh… That's why I shouldn't be collecting cursed things… What now?' Cyril furrowed his brows as he assessed the situation.

On the other hand, Xagan took this as an opportunity and offered his service.

"Just a single day of your life, Contractor… I will explain it to you."

As soon as he heard this, Cyril considered many things already. If something bad is about to happen and he's unaware of it, it would be too dangerous for him and for his aunt.

He can't allow something to happen to his aunt who is sleeping upstairs.

"Fine, take it!"

As soon as the transaction was completed, Xagan immediately explained.

"The creature hiding inside the lamp likes the energy coming from the Redprite Ores that you have. Once the creature gathered enough energy, it would be capable of unsealing herself even without using my powers."

"What? So whoever is inside this thing wanted to come out?"

Cyril frowned after realizing the severity of the situation. Luckily, even after the Redprite Ores in his collection disappeared, it seems that it wasn't enough for the creature to remove the seal on the lamp.

"How much more redprite ores do you think she needed?" Cyril asked.

Deep inside, he thanked Xagan for giving him a clue that the creature is a female. He might obtain more clues if he asks the demon a few more questions.

"It depends on the power of the creature inside and the strength of the seal… Perhaps a hundred more ores or even a thousand. If you want exact information. I need to use my power and you have to pay for it."

"Ugh…"

In the end, Cyril spent 5 more days in order to learn more about the creature.

"So it's safe to assume that it wouldn't cause trouble even if it was unsealed?" Cyril muttered.

Apparently, this creature wasn't simply living here but is probably trapped here like what happened to Xagan. The creature requires a unique form of energy to regain her strength and luckily, the Redprite Ores that the Red Goblins use to craft Artifacts is one good source of energy.

He also learned that even if the seal was removed, the creature would still be unable to come out unless the lamp's binding array unless certain conditions were met... Of course, these conditions are most likely related to granting wishes again.

"If that's the case, I guess it's better to unseal it now and deal with it once and for all…"

Cyril no longer hesitated and entered the Red Goblin's world.

Gaarm and the goblin warriors were surprised by his sudden visit but he just told them to continue working.

Well, he mentioned that his next visit would be next week so some of them were a bit surprised and thought that there's an emergency.

Anyway, he went to the storage and found two small mountains of Redprite Ores… It hasn't changed much when he first arrived here.

This is the goblin's ore reserves that they have collected for years. He had already taken several bags of ores before and the small mountains barely budged.

'Well, it hadn't increased as well.' Cyril thought.

Obviously, their mining speed has been affected a lot because he killed too many goblins before. It would still take a few more weeks for new goblin babies to be born and several months for them to grow up.

Anyway, he placed the lamp on the Redprite Ores, and soon, the ores disintegrated just like what happened outside.

"This… so many?"

Cyril noticed that only a couple of hundred ores remained from the two small mountains!

Whoosh!

"Oh…"

Cyril noticed that these ores also vanished after a few seconds. It seems that the lamp just took a breather so it was delayed.

Nevertheless, Cyril confirmed that the lamp was finally unsealed! He no longer needed to spend 30 days to unseal it using Xagan's power!

"Now what…"

Cyril picked up the lamp after confirming that nothing seems to be wrong…

He decided to pour his Aura to inspect it and sure enough, he was greeted by a lovely voice coming from the Lamp!

"Is it you? Thank you for you helping me…" The voice said as a blue light came out of the lamp…

"I can finally form a spiritual body! To thank you for your assistance, I can grant your wishes!"

A being, in the appearance of a female human, appeared and floated in front of Cyril. He can see that there is a blue light connecting her and the lamp as well. It means that she's still tied with the Artifact just like what Xagan mentioned.

"Are you a fairy?" Cyril asked.

"Well, it's close but not really. You can just call me Magenta… I do have a title but that's not important now… So, tell me your wish…"

Cyril kept his guard up all the time so he obviously didn't fall for it.

'Making a wish is probably similar to how I got contracted to Xagan. I have to be careful.'

"I'm not going to wish anything for now.. Anyway, are you going to kill me if I make a wish?" Cyril asked bluntly.
