Chapter 83 - Treasures

The eight potions weren't something rare. However, there is always a demand for them since medicines from the real world can't be brought inside the Arcane World.

These potions are still considered a must-bring item in long explorations. Cyril can even remember their prices right now.

( Grade 1 ) Pain Relieving Potion – 550 Ains / bottle

( Grade 1 ) Tranquility Potion – 350 Ains / bottle

( Grade 1 ) Defense Potion – 480 Ains / bottle

( Grade 1 ) Insanity Inducing Potion – 250 Ains / bottle

( Grade 1 ) Hunger Inducing Potion – 200 Ains / bottle

( Grade 2 ) Sleep Inducing Potion – 480 Ains / bottle

( Grade 2 ) Night Vision Potion – 450 Ains / bottle

( Grade 2 ) Weak Antidote – 800 Ains / bottle

Out of the eight potions here, Cyril already taught two of them to Bonnie.

They are the Night Vision Potion and Weak Antidote.

As far as he knows, only the Sleep Inducing Recipe, Night Vision, and Weak Antidote have not been made to the public as of now. In short, the Grade 2 potions.

The lowest grade is Grade 1 and the highest should be Grade 9, though Cyril hasn't seen any medicine or potion that reached that level.

As for all the Grade 1 potions, they have all been posted on the internet already.

'Weird… Why would the Association make this a reward to us? Do they want us to venture into business and create these potions?' Cyril thought.

He never found such an item before when he did this exploration in his past life. As a matter of fact, his first exploration from the Association was in a different Arcane World where he found crystals, weapons, or even some herbs as "treasures".

"Ugh… Anyway, it doesn't really matter to me. Let's just continue finding more treasures.'

Instead of monopolizing the potions, the Association had selflessly shared their knowledge about the common potions. There must be a catch to it but he can't be bothered for now.

Time gradually passed as they met other weak magical creatures like Black-Horned Rabbit, Four-Eyed Mongoose, and Ember Crows…

They were all at the bottom of the food chain so defeating them was quite easy.

Luckily, they haven't met a Metal Wolf, Spriggan, or the Hobgoblins… These three are basically the major powers in this Arcane World.

"Hmm?" Cyril noticed a shadow of a wolf following them. The wolf doesn't seem to have plans on attacking them but since it is watching their movements, it's probably just waiting for the right time.

During this time, they met another group of Ember Crows eating a corpse of a Metal Wolf. It seems to have been beaten using a blunt weapon.

Caw! Caw!

As soon as they were noticed, the crows immediately attacked them…

This time, however, Cyril managed to hit them first!

Bang!

A single shot killed two Ember Crows at the same time! His decisive action startled the Ember Crows as they halted their movements for a moment.

Only after making sure that they only have two opponents did they screech and charge on them with their burning beaks…

Unfortunately, lining up is not a good idea when facing Cyril…

Bang!

His shot this time killed three Ember Crows!

Though they have gotten near, Myrtle blocked their flight path and smashed the head of the Ember Crow without any hesitation. Her Gauntlet seems to be sturdier than normal E-Rank Items!

This battle only lasted for a couple of minutes before Myrtle collected the red feather of the Ember Crows.

Each of these magical creatures only has one red feather located on their tails… It seems to be an ingredient in some kind of potion or perhaps Artifact crafting as it is worth about 3,000 Ains if Cyril wasn't mistaken.

In total, they have collected 12 Red Feathers of the Ember Crows. Aside from that, they also found one of the hidden treasures nearby!

A canteen capable of turning water into wine or perhaps alcohol!

( Rank F ) Mysterious Drunkard's Canteen

Unfortunately, this item could not be used indefinitely. After using it 20 times or so, it would no longer be effective and will turn into a normal canteen since it's only an F-Rank.

"Do you like it? You can have it…" Cyril said as he handed the canteen. He doesn't have any use for it.

"Eh? Really? I want it!" Myrtle immediately said feeling a bit excited to drink some wine.

"Just take it then. But don't drink yet. Do it after the mission. I can't have you affected by drowsiness now."

"Haha! Alright, although I'm confident with my tolerance, I'll follow you."

The two continued treading the path to the lake when Myrtle noticed something again!

"Cyril… I think that fruit is edible! Look!" Myrtle said as soon as they got into the vicinity of the lake.

Cyril is actually quite busy monitoring the Metal Wolf watching them so he didn't notice the fruit until Myrtle mentioned it. After all, he felt that this wolf has already called the others on his pack and getting ready to ambush them.

"This fruit…"

Cyril's eyes lit up after seeing an apple-like fruit!

"It's not just edible! That should be considered a natural treasure. That's Arcanite Fruit We can bring it with us." Cyril immediately said.

He knows this fruit really well!

Once consumed, this can help any Awakened increase their mastery over their Aura! With the increase of their mastery, they will be able to bring out the strongest power of the Artifact they're wielding!

"Really! We're lucky! There's even five of them!"

"You're right… In theory, if we consumed five hundred of these, we can wield an Artifact above our rank…" Cyril added after recalling the unproven theory even for the next 14 years.

This made Myrtle even more excited as she was ready to run towards the tree and take all of them.

However, there seems to be a creature guarding the large tree!

"Don't move!" Cyril immediately warned the girl but it was too late.

Bang!

A club hit Myrtle's figure!

Luckily, she managed to put up her guard and didn't suffer terrible injuries!

"A Hobgoblin!" She exclaimed.

Then they heard the rustling of leaves everywhere and realized that they were actually surrounded by a group of Hobgoblins!
