Chapter 36 - Entrance

It didn't take long before Cyril felt that the Crystal was already in his small bag, the same bag where he is keeping the boomerang.

He take a quick look at it and as soon as he confirmed that he had the item with him, he swiftly left the place since there would surely be a lot of people here.

As he returned home, he noticed that the light within the house was still open.

It seems that his aunt is still waiting for him.

"Aunt Bonnie… You're still awake." Cyril said after seeing the lady reading a book.

"Yes… I'm thinking of doing another business… But let's not talk about that. I heard a siren just now. It seems that there some incident somewhere in the town."

"Perhaps… Anyway, we can ask our neighbors about it tomorrow."

"You're right. Are you going to sleep now?"

"Yeah… I'll just take a shower and I'll go to bed..." Cyril answered.

Bonnie only looked at the young man as she took a glance at his bag. To be honest, she wanted to ask whether he already registered himself as an Awakened to the Association but it seems that his nephew has a different plan.

Perhaps after a few weeks or even a month, she would confront him about his plans for the future. Right now, she wanted to observe him a little bit and see his actions.

'Hmm… I wonder why he brought the Artifacts with him..' Bonnie mused. They were her late husband's items so she was familiar with their aura.

Nevertheless, now that Cyril is the new owner, she wouldn't mind it as long as he's using them accordingly. She then returned to read the book that will help her do another business.

Apparently, since she has befriended her supplier, she was offered to become one of their partners to harvest the resources within one of the low-class Arcane Worlds.

If she did this right, it might be her chance to help her nephew.

'Being a B-Rank doesn't mean becoming strong quickly. He would need resources or items that will fit his ability… I can't let him be tied by another organization just so he can get items that suited him…'

Bonnie sighed as she continued reading. She's aware that finding Rank B Artifacts in an Arcane World is difficult unless you have a powerful group that could explore a mid-class or high-class Arcane World.

It means that Cyril would most likely have to purchase Rank B Artifact or perhaps, get tied in a contract to obtain an Artifact meant for B-Rank Awakened like him.

Right now, the price of the B-Rank Artifact reaches up to 4 million Ains which is not a small sum. After all, he might need two or three of them, and their maintenance can also cost quite a lot.

Aside from that, his nephew can't just wield a lower rank Artifact all the time since their durability will wear off easily since their Aura is stronger!

A Rank-F Artifact would probably crumble after a few days if it's being used constantly!

This is why she needs to find another way of earning money to support her nephew while he's still starting.

Cyril finished taking a shower and returned to his room unaware of his Aunt's kind thoughts.

'Now… I need to find a place where I can store my Entrance Crystals…' Cyril thought as he hasn't looked for a particular place yet and only planned to buy a building or a huge mansion that he could use to hide all of his Entrance Crystal in the future.

"Well… I can probably look for a house somewhere in Forbes Park. That place's security is at the highest level in this region…"

The young man recalled the famous place.

The Forbes Park is a private subdivision and gated community in Versailles City. The city is also the capital of their country, the Republic of Veprus and there are tons of forces gathered there.

It means that it is one of the safest places in the country. Even after the issue about the Abyssal Creatures came up after a few years, the capital remained unthreatened from their presence.

"I want to bring Aunt there as well… I hope she agrees."

Cyril muttered as he entered his room. He didn't want to disturb Bonnie since she's busy so he decided to talk to her in the morning instead.

"Contractor… You're not going to enter the low-class Arcane World yet?" Xagan asked as he floated and sat on the window.

"I'm going… However, I have to prepare something since opening the entrance for the first time creates some kind of fluctuation in the beginning."

Cyril replied as he brought out the purple crystal the size of his palm from his bag. He placed it on his table beside the Goblin Mage's Orb.

Apparently, during the first opening of the crystal, there would be fluctuation of magical energy that would spread in the surrounding area. In short, Bonnie or their neighbors would realize that he's hiding an entrance crystal in his room.

Depending on the class of the Arcane World, the fluctuation would become stronger and it wouldn't even be surprising if an opening of a high-class Entrance would be sensed by the whole town.

This is why he has to do something about it first.

"I didn't try this even in my past life… But I know the principle. I can do this."

The young man muttered as he started to pour his Aura into the crystal… However, instead of infusing it into the crystal to open the Entrance, he's actually covering it with his Aura!

Aside from that, Xagan had also noticed that he wasn't just covering it using his Aura but it has a unique pattern into it…

However, it seems that it wouldn't be easy…

Whoosh!

The Aura seems to be unstable as it soon dissipated after a few moments…

"I failed… Let me try again." Cyril didn't give up and used the trick that he knows for several hours until he was exhausted.

Even if his Aura is that of an S-Rank, it would still exhaust him a lot as it requires a high level of concentration and skill to manipulate his Aura as he would like.

Nevertheless, his hard work soon paid off as he completed the application of a simple concealing array after about 4 hours of experimentation!

He had never tried using this on a purple crystal before but luckily, his efforts bore fruit!

"Finally… I'll be entering my first owned Arcane World now…" Cyril smiled as he decided to enter the Arcane World connected with the Crystal.
