Chapter 30 - Black Market

Cyril still has 19 bottles of lesser healing potions with him.

He's planning to sell another 15 bottles to the black market since his three clients requested another potion that they can use in case of emergency.

In the end, he agreed to sell another one for each of them. Of course, he could sell all of his potions to these people if he wanted to just earn money.

However, he needed to make his presence known in the black market for a reason… and selling the lesser potion there is the best move he could do at this moment.

Although he would be left with a single potion, he would be able to make more if he truly wanted. This single piece of potion bottle is just for his emergency aid once he entered one of the Arcane World.

Cyril then arrived in front of an old but clean building in Reiweiss City. This city is quite far from Flushdenn City where the Saint Torido clan is located.

The strongest guild in this place is the Blood Knights. It is the guild that had recently advanced to a first-tier guild after acquiring two A-Rank Awakened through a contract.

However, the guild wasn't his target right now but an inconspicuous organization lurking within the city.

'New Life Orphanage… It doesn't look that bad…'

Cyril muttered after seeing the normal-looking orphanage near the outskirts of the city.

In his previous life, he would only be able to know this place after it was introduced by someone he saved during a mission in the Arcane World. It should be four years from now.

Though his job as a helper isn't that noble compared to the real or powerful Arcane Explorers, he was still being treated kindly by many, especially when he's working together with explorers of the same organization.

Luckily for him, he barely meets an Awakened that would think poorly of their helpers.

He knows that bad things happen to his colleagues so he developed some kind of sense to judge if the Awakened or group of Awakened he's helping is kind or has a terrible personality.

"Hey… You're blocking the way…"

As Cyril was lost in his thoughts, he heard a man with a deep voice scolding him.

He looked behind him and noticed a group of three people planning to enter the Orphanage. They are wearing expensive suits and gold jewelry around their bodies.

"I'm sorry, I'm about to go in as well. I just learned this place from someone today." Cyril replied.

He's unsure whether these guys were guards of this place or perhaps customers like him.

"Tsk… Another newbie, huh… Don't talk something like that here when you're outside. Just get in."

The man in the middle has well-combed short black hair and a suitcase in his right hand. The other two seem to be his guards as they silently looked at him with a threatening gaze.

As the three entered the orphanage, Cyril followed behind them… It seems that they are customers too.

They saw the caretaker of the building cleaning the surroundings and children playing around. The place looks like a normal orphanage that can be seen in other large cities.

The location is quite inconspicuous too as it is surrounded by large factories. There weren't many people going around this place aside from the workers in the nearby buildings.

As soon as they entered, they were greeted by another "volunteer worker" of the orphanage.

"How may I help you, gentlemen?" The worker is a middle-aged woman wearing a comfortable white blouse seated behind a desk.

She seemed to be lazying around and not even giving an effort to smile at them.

"I'm here to meet Sir Ivar from the 4th District…"

She was answered by the leader of the group who's carrying the suitcase. It seems to be very important considering how it was even cuffed to him.

"I see… You can go ahead and meet him in his room. He's waiting." The middle-aged lady replied.

She then turned to Cyril and asked how she could help.

"I'm just here to find Rodel in the 5th District."

"Alright…"

The lady just nodded and gestured for him to enter the hall on her left... It seems that she's already used to this job.

Cyril can remember that the code of the men who came first was meant for VIPs. Even if he used that code, he would still not be able to enter that place as he would have to still undergo three more verifications.

On the other hand, the 5th district he's talking about is completely different.

He walked to the inner hall where he could see some caretakers or perhaps janitors cleaning the building.

He quickly found the familiar door that he had used before.

As soon as he touched the doorknob, he inserted a bit of his Aura into it.

Clank!

The door then easily opened after a light push…

Cyril saw a hooded person inside. He looks like he's hiding his identity but it is also letting him know that he's part of an underworld organization or perhaps, unregistered guild.

The man is staring at a scenic painting of a meadow on the left side of the room.

'Asura Guild…'

Cyril recalled the name of the guild. This guild together with several more organizations made this Black Market possible.

He then looked at the center of the room to find the Purple Crystal.

Aside from the paintings on the wall, there is only a small stand where the Crystal is placed. There are no chairs, tables, or other things making the place look empty.

The crystal at the center is the one he has to use to enter the Arcane World where the Black Market is.

After observing the place, Cyril looked at the man.

"I need to use the Entrance…"

"Are you new?" The man asked in a deep voice.

"Yes… I'm planning to sell something inside."

The hooded man then glanced at him to look at his bag before nodding.

"I understand… Anyway, since you'll be using my guild's entrance, We will take a 3% Commission. Do you understand?"

"Yes." Cyril already knows the rules of the black market.

Anyway, he can only rely on the black market for now since sooner or later, the items or Artifacts that he'll take would have a shady background and would be difficult to sell in legal ways.

As early as now, he wanted to establish a bit of reputation so items and information wouldn't be that difficult to grasp in the future.

"Very well… You can now use the Entrance."
