This time, the rookie network established by several of our investors in combination with three links and one Da and SF is not pure. There are many heavy asset logistics companies such as trucks and aircraft, but a company that plans, allocates and optimizes express logistics data.

From the seller's mobile phone to the final delivery to the customer, an express may have to circulate for thousands of miles, more than a dozen provinces, several transfer stations and the hands of several people. What the rookie network needs to do is to informatization and standardization of the whole process and continuously improve the express flow efficiency and distribution efficiency.

For example, if you want to send an express from Shenzhen sellers in the southernmost part of China to customers in Qiqihar in the northernmost part of China, it needs to be transferred at least five times.

The first is that the seller delivers the express to the receiving courier, the second is that the courier delivers the express to the unified centralized distribution station, and the third is that it is sent directly from the distribution station to Qiqihar. Of course, in the current domestic logistics system, the third link is difficult to be in place in one step, and there may be several transfers in the middle, but we only count once now.

The fourth and fifth times, in turn, repeat the previous two links. The fourth step is the express delivery to the distribution station in Qiqihar area for unloading. The fifth and last step is that the courier takes the goods from the distribution station and sends them to the customers.

A total of five steps are already the most basic five steps of most express delivery. What rookie network needs to do is to informatization each link, count and understand the circulation time of express delivery in each link, the logistics process, personnel, etc., and then optimize the efficiency of the whole express delivery circulation according to these centralized information.

For example, we found that in Qigihar and the whole northeast area, the toothpaste and toothbrush products purchased online are about 1 million, so we can establish warehousing system in the northeast area in advance and replenish 500 thousand to 700 thousand toothpaste toothbrushes periodically, so that the distance of customers' express delivery will be shortened by 1/3 directly.

Nowadays, in fact, many businesses of Taobao and tmall are already using their own warehousing systems. However, because Alibaba does not do logistics warehousing, each business is fighting its own way. The information is scattered and the distribution efficiency is very low. In the future, the rookie network needs to cooperate with several major logistics companies to integrate these resources.

For another example, we found that it took only two hours from the warehouse in the northeast to the distribution station in Qiqihar, but after the express arrived at the distribution station, the courier didn't pick up the goods and start distribution until two hours.

We will understand that the human resources of Qiqihar distribution station are insufficient and need to supplement couriers, or the current distribution route of couriers is not optimized, which wastes a lot of distribution time. In this way, we will optimize the best distribution scheme according to the address information of express and the human resources of the distribution station.

In the long run, our little optimization and improvement will continuously shorten the delivery time of the whole express.

According to the data estimation model we made before, by means of warehouse optimization and distribution optimization, three to five years after the establishment of rookie network, the distribution time of most express will be reduced to less than half of the current time!

Within 10 years, in most of China's third tier cities, express delivery will be delivered within 24 hours! "
