36 Meeting Alexa part 1

In the previous chapter, Alex saved Kara from getting killed by Vartox by utilizing his superpowers. Kara was severely wounded and brought back to DEO headquarter for treatment. Kara found out that her sister, Alexa was working for DEO and went back home to rest. Alex headed towards Kara's apartment and was about to knock on the door before meeting with Alexa who was going to confront Kara in front of Kara's apartment.

Alexa saw a stranger standing in front of her sister's apartment door. She asked the man, " Hello, there. May I ask? Who are you, sir? "

"Oh... Hi. I'm Alex, a friend of Kara. You must be Alexa, Kara's sister," answered Alex. Alexa inspected Alex and she did not fully believe Alex. She said to Alex, " Do you mind if I go first ( referring to talking to Kara) and giving us some privacy? "

Alex replied to her, " Not at all. " and he walked away from Kara's apartment. Seeing Alex walking away, Alexa thought to herself, " Why am I getting the feeling that this person is not simple at all and has many secrets?"

After shrugging off that feeling, she knocked the apartment door and no one answered it. She then decided to talk to Kara and said to depressed Kara who was sitting on her couch, " Kara, it's me. Can we talk?"

Kara used her X-ray vision and saw the figure of her sister standing outside her apartment.

Alexa continued saying, "I know you can see me. I know what you are thinking. That this is all your fault. But it's not. Before you came to live with us, I was the star. And then, how could I compete with you? With someone who can touch the stars? You know, I was happy when you decided not to use your powers. You know, you feeling less, somehow made me feel like more. Now the world needs you to fly, Kara."

The door was opened and Kara came out, confronting her sister, Alexa.

Kara told Alexa, " I can't, Alexa. I can't do it."

Alexa said," Yes, you can. Your family believes in you. "

" I know you do," said the former (Kara).

" I don't mean me." replied the latter (Alexa). Alexa brought out a Kryptonian object out of her bag and handed it to Kara.

Kara looked at the object and exclaimed, " That's Kryptonian's writings."

Alexa explained to Kara, " Yeah. Hank and his old team recovered it from the pod that brought you to Earth."

Meanwhile, Alex was at a small distance of Kara's apartment. He did not listen to their conversation as he already knew what their conversation was about and what was happening currently.

The Kryptonian object was activated and a hologram of Kara's mother appeared before Kara in the living room.

Kara said, "Mom."

Kara's mom hologram said, " Kara, my brave girl. By now, you have become the woman I knew you would grow up to be. And though you were sent to Earth to protect young Kal-El. your destiny is not tied to his. There is no correct path in life. You will lose your way many times. What's important is that you find your way back to the brave girl you always were. Be wise, be strong and always be true to yourself."

Kara started crying due to happiness and sadness, a mixture of both. She hugged her sister and asked Alexa, " So what do we do now?"

" First thing first. You need to get changed, " said Alexa.

They chuckled, Kara went to her room to change into her superhero outfit, which did not take long. When they were about to depart, the door was knocking several times. Alexa just remembered that it must be Alex and he must have been waiting for a while. She hesitated to open the door as Kara was in her superhero suit...
