9 08 What now?!

********** Karl's Perspective **********

I stare at the Girl intensely while thinking about what to so next.

[Oh my God, Humans can understand me?! So I'am not completly unable to comunicate. What do I answer? I didn't think of the possibility of being able to talk to humans. I don't want her to throw a Pokéball the second I show some kind of weakness. Later on when I figure out how to escape those I wouldn't care, but I don't want to let my Journey end this early on. What to say, what can I tell her that makes her loose interest? Well as far as a talking Pokémon can make anyone loose interest...

My options to look a bit bad here.]

She takes a step back.

[wait what? Did I scare her by just looking at her? Really? Do I look that scary? I'am just as big as her Growlithe. Well I do have longer teeth, but that shouldn't trigger such a reaction.

Time to say something...

Should I just try to make a Pokémon-Sound? Will that confuse her?

No... Normal Humans are pretty bad at imitating animal sounds. I probably am too. That would just make me look like an Idiot, I already managed to scare her I should use that. Ok let's try to wing it]

"Yes. You heard right. Now continue onwards. I have no business with you. I have more important matters to attend to! And call your Growlithe of my neck. Or I decide to deal with her."

I manange to actually speak in my usual deep voice I had as a human and even really calmly even thought I'am really excited.

It seems to have had the effect I was hoping for, her confused look changes into a mix of confusion and fear. She steps back again.

But then asks me:

"Who- I mean what are you?"

[God. Why doesn't she just leave me alone. Well atleast I haven't even caught a glimpse of a Pokéball. So at least that I won't have to worry about that. All that I said up until now seems to be having the effect I want. I should just continue with the flow.]

"Well. What do I look like to you? Of course I'am a Pokémon. I came here from another dimension. I can't tell you my purpose here, that is all the information I can give you. It is your choice what to do with it. Are you done bothering me? Didn't you want to find you Growlithe?"

I tried to keep the tone of my voice as it was before, trying to press in a bit more power and sounding hopefully a tiny bit omniscient.

I try to look bigger and pay attention to not stare on the ground but look directly into her eyes.

Lizzy:"Di- Dimension? Like the one Palkia controls? The Legendary Pokémon spotted in the Sinnoh region?"

The Girl stops moving as if she was just hit by lightning.

"Well yes, I guess you could say that. But if Dialga doesn't mess with the Time soon I will never get on with my business and you will never find your Pokémon again."

Her Eyes widen she looks at me like A fish. Mentioning Dialga seems to have quite the effect on her. It's been very effective!

I turn around and try to step away but who would have known she starts talking again.

Lizzy:"Wha.. wait!"

Well not many words...

"Who could have know that talking about two of the Legendary Pokémon would take away your ability to speak complete sentences."

Lizzy:"I ... You... I mean how do you know know about them? I mean only a handful of persons ever saw them. And we have no Legendary Pokémon in the Noaho Region."

[haha I totally got her now. From here on this should be childs play]

Karl: *sighs* "I do not like to repeat myself, but just this once.... as I said I come out of another dimension. So why wouldn't I know about those two? And you mean to tell me that you have no legendary Pokémon in this region? When Pokémon like Palkia and Dialga can float through the air? Just like Pokémon like Rayquaza and Deoxys can do? They also literally manipulate Time and Space and you mean to tell me that those can not reside in this region but are limited to the Sinnoh region?"

Her jaw drops. She seems to be speechless.

Karl:"Are we done here? I have to get stronger and places to be. And you do so as well do you not?"

I turn away from her ready to leave

Lizzy:" I ... I. What.. what do you mean?"

"Your lost Pokémon? Growlithe?"

Lizzy:"Oh! Yeah. I have to find he...r.....wait!"

I start to get impatient. And nervous as i feel like I will never get away. Well, time to play strong again. Probably for the last time...

"WHAT now?"

Lizzy:" Are you a legendary Pokémon aswell? I mean you seem to know so much and .. I mean... no you seem to be to small and weak for that... nevermind... I ... guess I will look for Susi now..."

I throw a mean glare at her.

She steps back and starts turning around still cleary overwhelmed and confused by what just happened.

[Now how do I wind myself out of this one? I could just act like I'am some Legendary ass Pokémon and probably get way that way or I act dumb and just be the weak pooch I seem to be. I already established myself as the smart other dimensional Pokémon, so sadly the last path already seems to be blocked.

So should I go for the legendary-Option and risk getting hunted down by some power addicted trainer later on?]

Karl: "Do you think Palkia and Dialga popped out of 5 Meter tall eggs when Arceus made them and just casually started to rule over time and space? I already told you I have no time for chatting with you but need to get stronger."

She stops again takes a moment before she turns back to me.

But I already disappeared mysteriously.Ok, who am I kidding I just sprinted away without make a sound because of my newly evolved claws.

I continue to watch her out of a bush near by just to make sure my conversation has the effect I wanted.

********** Lizzy's Perspective **********

I look around confused.

[Did it just disappear? What just happend? The conversation did only last a few moments but it hit me harder then the moment my parents gifted me Susi. I have no Idea what to think. Did I just imagine everything? It felt so real! Everything it said made sense. The stuff it said even matches with the stories I learned in school! How can it know that! And which normal Pokémon travels through dimensions and is able to speak with humans? That has to be a legendary! Noaho has it's own legendary Pokémon! We never had any exiting myths about our region, we only heard the ones of the other regions. But why did we get... I mean why did it appear now? What are it's powers? If it spoke the truth it traveled between dimensions,... did it do that by itself or did it meet Palkia?]

I sit down and lay against a near by tree, my chin resting on my knees.

[There are so many questions I still need to ask!]

I close my eyes and bury my face between my knees staring at the ground.

[What did I just experience?]

A few thoughtless seconds go by as I try to manage my thoughts and try to calm down. Suddenly I hear all kinds of ruckus out of the bushes in front of me. Leafs falling, branches cracking...

"Are you back again?! I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS! HEY WHAT..."

I stop talking as Susi jumps out of the bush. I'am glad to see her, I completely forgot about her. I feel bad because I forgot about her but in addition to that I'am disappointed that it's not the other Pokémon.

Susi sprints towards me as if she is worried about me looking so down. She really is a good dog. I pet her head and pull her closer. I really need this hug right now. This was all just a bit to much right now...

A few Minutes go by of me petting the exited and worried Susi. She barked quietly as few more times. But seems a lot calmer right now.

I guess we will head back home for now, i don't believe anyone will believe me if I tell them what I just witnessed but who knows. Maybe somebody else will spot it in this forest.

********** Susi's Perspective **********

I searched everywhere but I couldn't find him anywhere the smell became weaker after some time so I headed back. It became stronger again. A lot stronger actually. Thar bastard really seems to have tricked me. So he isn't that dumb!

I jump out of the bushes back where I lost him earlier. And find Lizzy slumped infront of a Tree.

~GROWLITHE~ ~Growlithe~ ~Grooow?~ ~lithe~ ~growlithe?~Grow~ ~Growlithe?~

"LIZZY, Lizzy are you ok? What happend? Are you hurt?"

[Dammit what happened? This all happend because I stormed of! What if Lizzy is hurt because I didn't protect her?!]

[Did that bastard hurt her? Or was it another Pokémon?]

Just when my thought begin to scatter in all possible directions she pets my head and pulls me closer. She hugs me and looks at me calmly, she looks exhausted but I can't see any wounds. That calms me down a bit.

"Lizzy did you see it anywhere? It had to be here! I can still smell it."

She continues to pet me calmly still hugging me.

"Let's just check real quick!"

"Lizzy?"

[What could have disturbed her this much that she is this out of it?

I can't remember her being like this once before...]

I give up. She seems to not follow me anywhere in the next minutes... well i guess I can understand that...

The smell of the dog Pokémon slowly fades away.

... I guess he's gone now no more chances of catching him anymore.

[Why am I feeling kind of ... sad? He's just some random Pokémon right? I mean sure he managed to trick me but that could just have been a luck. So it's not like he's any special or something like that,... right?]

I look up towards Lizzy, as if I just asked her that question. She seems to have return to her calm and relaxed normal state.

Minutes have gone by, she stands up and puts me on the ground. She swipes her hair behind her ears and looks down towards me.

Lizzy:"Let's go Susi! I bet lunch more than ready, I bet it's already cold... not that thats your problem."

~Growlithe~ ~Growlithe~ ~Growlitheeee...~

"You could give it to me then, if you don't like it if it's cold..."

She starts walking. I follow her by running after her till I walk beside her.
