Chapter 39 - Talk

The day of the rating game has come. Rias Gremory's family and Sairaog Bael's family will fight in the rating game with all they've got. Also not only them have a match this time, Sona Sitri's family and Seekbaira Agares' family too have a rating game this day.

During Rias' rating game against Sairaog Bael, Issei fought Sairaog's Bishop, Coriana Adrealphus, and queen, Kuisha Abaddon, both of whom he defeats, before facing off Sairaog. During the match, Issei was doing well against Sairaog until Sairaog fused with Regulus, his pawn, to use balance breaker. This overwhelmed Issei but thanks to this he was able to achieve the queen form of his armor, the cardinal crimson. Issei fought Sairaog in a fistfight which he won. Countless devils watched the match as Issei is extremely famous in the underworld. Even some gods went to watch the rating game.

Sona and others too won their match against Seekvaira Agares. Although Saji lose control and started to rampage in the battlefield. Their match didn't gather as much attention as Rias group but there's still plenty of people watch their match.

This happened right before the rating game began. Vali sent Azazel a private message.

"...Are you serious about this, Vali?" Azazel said in a somewhat surprised voice. He looked at Vali's face through the small communication magic circle.

"Yeah. He... It's a she now I guess. She is wishing for this, I'm also interested in this, so I want it to happen" Vali said through the small communication magic circle.

Azazel received an unthinkable idea by Vali. To tell the truth, this is something capable of changing the power balance of the world.

"...It's you we're talking about. That's not the only reason, right?" Azazel looked seriously at Vali.

Vali smile bitterly and said, "You're as sharp as always. That is also the reason why you are getting alienated from other faction."

"It's none of you business.. " Azazel replied. Well, it's true that he was being alienated by those people who are standing at the top of other faction. He already sound fishy because he have the position of being the governor of the fallen angels. On top of that a guy like that is running around talking about peace and negotiations.

He meddle too much with others business. He was even told that by Issei.

"...This is my nature. If someone was to attack me from behind, then I will accept it." Azazel sighed and said.

"There are those who are after her." Vali said in a low voice.

"Obviously there are. And there would be an immeasurable number of those at that... But everyone is having a bitter time because no one can eliminate her." Azazel said.

"That may be true, but it seems like there will be those in our organization who are hoping the same thing. No, it's about time they will make their move." Vali said seriously.

A youth with a spear came to Azazel's mind.

Azazel said, "Ulquiorra did a good job there. I honestly didn't think that they would be able to do that but now that Samael came into the scene. I think it's possible that they would be able to do that."

"Yes, Samael would be a problem" Vali nodded and said, "That's why we need to do this."

"Your planning on luring him out?" Azazel was astonished.

"Yeah. I contacted Ulquiorra before, he said it's okay he doesn't mind this." Vali said.

"You have contact with Ulquiorra!" Azazel said in a surprise voice.

"Yeah. I'm just giving him an information that he want and he would do one thing that I ask." Vali said like it's nothing.

'Even I could hardly talk to Ulquiorra' Azazel thought. Suddenly what Vali said sink to his mind. He exclaimed, "Don't tell me... You're the one who gave Ulquiorra information in Tanga island."

"You're really sharp"

Vali nodded, "Yeah. I'm the one who gave him that but I didn't now that Samael was there. It was out of my expectations that they have a trump card like that."

"They also have the back of the unknown person who protected them from Amaterasu." Azazel said.

"It can be Hades... " Vali said to Azazel.

"No, Although he released Samael he wouldn't provoke Amaterasu for those people. It must be that the person who mysteriously back them is the allied of Hades." Azazel said as he ponder.

"So that unknown person back the Hero faction and is allied with Hades to the point that Hades release Samael from cocytus for them..." Vali said.

Azazel looked at Vali and said, "Yeah and I can only think of one person... And that is the Heavenly Emperor, Indra, of the Hindu Mythologies. He's making some strange movement lately."

"Indra, that's one hell of a name" Vali smirked. "Well, even if he is the one that's backing them my plan still won't change just because of him."

"...I can see that" Azazel smiled bitterly.

"Okay, that's it. I should go now. Leave it to Ulquiorra he still owe me one thing." Vali said.

"Okay, I will contact him" Azazel nodded his head.

'Hades and Indra will come at the rating game match. They want to see the famous Red Dragon Emperor and Ulquiorra.' Azazel thought as he walked away, 'Well, unfortunately for them they wouldn't be able to see Ulquiorra as he won't come to watch the match. He didn't even left the Sitri mansion since he came back from underworld. And when he went out he head straight to the human world. What a strange person.'

Amaterasu looked at the gods before her and said solemnly, "Prepare our forces! We have a divination that a war would erupt and Japan will be the battlezone!"

The other Gods were shocked when they heard her words. A war? And their lands will become the battlezone?

"Should we considered Azazel's offer?" Ebisu, one of the seven gods of fortune, said.

"I think we should accept it. The threat of Khaos Brigade is bigger than we expected and the other problem is that God, Indra. Also according to the divination many mythologies are involve in the upcoming war." Omoikane, God of wisdom, said.

"Yeah. We will not lose anything if we ally ourselves to them." Fujin, God of wind, said.

"They are getting out of hands especially that Indra. Get ready! I'm not afraid of war! Once he do it again we will launch an attack! Since the war is already inevitable we will change battlezone to other place." Amaterasu said.

The rest of the gods sighed at her words. They already know her attitude so it's not that surprising to them.
