Chapter 470: [Bonus Chapter]Reunion Part 2

Kiliffia's body froze when she heard that voice that was familiar yet not since she had not heard it in so long. She turned to see what should be a human man but was not walking towards her. "Father!?"

"Ah..." Fretchet stopped and scratched his head. During this week, with the help of the fei, he was able to regain a humanoid form. Although he still had tree aspects, he looked more human than he did before. "I kinda got experimented on… So I am a fei now."

"Who cares! Father, you're alive! I… " Kiliffia couldn't hold back her emotions as she tried to crawl out of bed.  Fretchet panicked and quickly ran over and embraced his daughter. "I am just glad you're alive. You are my only family. You are my father..."

"Mm… I'm sorry for leaving you without notice. But I can proudly say I did avenge your birth parents." Fretchet had done what he set out to do. He never expected to be kidnapped on the final night of his travels.

"As long as you're alive, that is all that matters. Let me look at you." Kiliffia pulled away and looked her father all over, turning his head left and right and patting his body. "I think this new look suits you. You have become younger and more handsome than before."

"Haha! As cheeky as always! Kiliffia, I am sorry. My actions have caused you much pain and grief." Fretchet said seriously. He did not think things through well enough. He thought that once Kiliffia was in the academy, he could handle things. He never expected so much to happen during that time.

"Mmm… it's fine.  Although you may have suffered during this time. Maybe it was for the best after all the wars that had happened. I might have lost you while you fought on the front lines..." Kiliffia knew saying this was a horrible thing, but she felt that although he suffered, it was also a blessing in disguise that saved his life.

"Speaking of that, Kiliffia, when you are able to get up and walk on your own, the citizens of Rural would love to have you appear before them. You are a hero of the country after all." Tilia said as she walked into the room. "During that war, you led the forces that fought against the devils. The people look up to you for doing your best to command the troops. It was because of you that they were able to overcome the odds and lay down their lives. This is also the reason why I had a statue erected in your honor."

"A statue!?" Kiliffia's eyes went wide. She did not think she did much during the war. She was guided the entire way.

"Haha! It looks like my daughter was able to achieve her dream of becoming a hero!" Fetchet let out a jolly laugh. Her sudden outburst and revealing one of her childhood dreams caused Kiliffia to blush. But he was right. She really did accomplish her dream of being like her goddess.

"Father!" Kiliffia whined. Even so, she still had a bright smile on her face as she gazed at her father, who was once again by her side.

"You now have your whole future ahead of you. You have a man you love and family to be at your side. Kiliffia, what you do from here on out is all about what your heart desires." Kana said, causing everyone to look at her in surprise. This caused Kana to purse her lips and yell out: "What!?"

"To think Kana of all people would be giving life advice." Ceilie teased.

"What!? I do have my moments too, you know!" Kana never thought everyone would act this way! "Fine, I will just not speak anymore! Happy!?"

"Kana, I'm teasing!" Ceilie laughed and hugged Kana.

"It's good being home. And Kana is right!" Kiliffia took a deep breath. "I no longer care to become strong. I just wish to spend my days with the man I love, build a family and take care of my father as he grows old. A simple life with no more excitement."

Kiliffia had had enough of the trials that came with growing strong. She had enough of it all. She only wished to live peacefully, some place where she could build a family. She was done running out to battle.

"That is a good goal, but still work on keeping the strength you have now. Our world is not all flowers and butterflies. One still needs strength to protect those they hold dear." Kana felt Kiliffia's chosen path was good. She also wished for the same, but she had goals she had to keep as well. There was something she felt she had to do, and the place to accomplish this was not in any of the lower realms.

"Once again, Kana's words amaze me by coming out of her mouth." Ceilie teased again.

"Ceilie! I am going to beat you up!" Kana yelled as she pinched Ceilie.

"Haha! Just seeing everyone like this brings back the past. I am glad I have met you all." Kiliffia smiled as a tear escaped her eye. She wiped it and looked at this ragtag group of people who came together to become one big family. She knew after today, everyone would be parting and going their separate ways. But this was life. Once one journey ended, another began. For her, her journey ends here as she settles down and begins the journey of creating a family of her own. She knew that she would look back at this time in her later years and tell her grandchildren of the time she had met her goddess and the journey she embarked on from there.

Realm of gods…

"Kana, what do you plan to do from here?" Creige asked. He wondered if Kana planned to venture out to look around the realm of gods anytime soon.

"I will soon be heading out. I have a lot of things I need to accomplish, and sitting around will not help with that. I am still a fledgling dragon with much to learn after all, and I still need two more elements and a ton of levels to evolve. I have my work cut out for me. So I was thinking. What if we let our girls go on a journey when they come of age? I hate to part with them, but I think they are old enough and powerful enough to do just that. They need to begin to discover what they wish to do in their life." Kana felt it was time. She would spend the next three years by their side before allowing them to depart on their own life journeys.

"If that is what you wish, I will up their training to make sure they are prepared for anything."
