Chapter 83: A Little Romantic (Two)

Red roses?

They were better for coaxing girls. Chen An just found an opportunity to let Ivanov leave for a while so that he could pass the message to Ding Sheng. He didn't care if Ivanov would really come back with red roses.

Slowly sipping coffee, Chen An looked down at the time. Ivanov was gone for almost ten minutes away. Wouldn't that bear really want to pull up thorny roses from the garden?

Without warning, the restaurant suddenly plunged into darkness, and all the lights went out in an instant. Chen instinctively grasped the knife on the table.

Just as he was about to squat down to check the situation, the faint and warm candlelight lit around, one after another, from the position of the door to inside. After dispelling the darkness, Chen An also saw the man holding the red rose, walking towards him step by step from the door.

Chen An slightly raised his eyebrows and watched Ivanov stride toward him with great grace. Every step Ivanov took, the white candles on both sides of the road would be lit until the restaurant was immersed in the romantic candlelight like shining stars.

The melodious music lingered in the quiet night, and the several guests before had long been missing. The whole restaurant seemed to be left with them two.

"To my most beloved, An." Ivanov stood upright and bent down to deliver the fragrant and bright red roses. Every movement was graceful and proper.

Looking at the red roses still exuding humidity of the sea in front of him, Chen An smiled. Although he asked Ivanov to pick them, it was the first time in his life that he received red roses.

"For the first time someone sent me flowers." Chen An took over the roses. Perhaps in a hurry of picking, he noticed that it was not ribbon that tied the roses, but a man's tie.

As Chen An glanced at Ivanov, who had no tie on, as his fingers passed the sea-blue tie tied with roses, the man bent down and held out his hand to him. "Not only I am the first man to send you flowers, but I hope I have the honor of being the first man to invite you to dance."

"Don't expect me to dance in a lady's step." Putting the roses aside, Chen An took Ivanov's hand.

Ivanov put his arm around the man's back, almost sticking to Chen An's chest. His low and magnetic voice was like the murmur of a devil in the night, attractive and dangerous.

"Don't think about anything, just dance."

His jaw rested on Ivanov's shoulder, and he smelled the man's smell of cigar mixed with vodka. Chen An murmured, "Ivanov, what am I to you?"

"I don't know." Ivanov didn't go for sweet talk, and he seldom revealed his true feelings. He probably thought his answer was ridiculous. He couldn't help laughing in a low voice.

"It feels unfamiliar and strange, and your questions are interesting," Ivanov stopped and said in low voice, "An, as long as you stay with me, one day I'll find out what you really mean to me."

Chen An slightly embraced Ivanov's broad back, and the corners of his mouth rose slightly in the dark candle light.

The two men hugged each other tightly and danced gently under the candle light. Ding Sheng in the distance saw this scene and forced himself to turn around so that he would not feel sad and rush out and take Chen An's hand to leave. He clinched his fists forcefully. He could not let Uncle An sacrifice go in vain. He must take Ivanov at one strike!
