“Hey, can you let go of me now? It hurts!”

They had been hugging each other for over a minute, and there was still no sign of Pei Siyan loosening his hold so Jiang Sheng was too timid to move and reminded him in a low voice.

“I’m sorry.”

Pei Siyan wiped the tears in haste and let go of Jiang Sheng.

“It’s okay. Just… don’t hold me that tight next time!”

It might be because Jiang Sheng couldn’t bear to see Pei Siyan being so sad that he didn’t reject his hug.

“Well, I’ll sleep first.”

Jiang Sheng looked a bit unnatural; he scratched his own head and lay down by himself first. His heart was pounding wildly.

‘Oh no oh no. I feel like my heart is about to pound through my chest now. Oh my god, I’m going insane now. Why would my heart just keep beating faster? It’s like I’ve never been hugged that heavily by a man before! But my dad did that all the time! Okay, I need to go to sleep now. I won’t be thinking about all this nonsense after I fall asleep.”

Jiang Sheng tried to put himself to sleep. After a moment of effort, he actually succeeded.

Pei Siyan sat by the edge of the bed and looked at the sleeping face of Jiang Sheng. His fingers slided through his nose first and then mouth.

Everything felt so familiar yet strange for Pei Siyan.

He knew that even Jiang Sheng was the reincarnation of Lan Yuan, he would be a whole new person with the same immortal soul after all.

Pei Siyan felt like crying by just looking at him.

After a while, he walked into the bathroom and stood under the shower head silently. No one could tell if it was hot water or tears running down his face.

Jiang Sheng didn’t find Pei Siyan when he woke up in the morning; he stroked his head and yawned lazily first. Then he got out of bed with a sleepy face.

“He went missing in the morning as if he has never slept here for the night.” Jiang Sheng mumbled to himself while he squeezed toothpaste out of the tube. His eyes weren’t even fully opened.

As a matter of fact, Pei Siyan didn’t sleep in the room indeed; he slept in the study instead.

A few minutes later, Jiang Sheng went downstairs and didn’t find Pei Siyan, so he asked the maid Xi Que curiously, “Where’s Pei Siyan? Did he go to work?”

Xi Que replied with respect, “Mr. Pei is in the greenhouse with Bai Hao now.”

‘Greenhouse?’

“Is there a greenhouse in here?”

“Yes, walk to the backyard and you shall see it.”

“Alright then!”

Jiang Sheng followed the path and spotted a gigantic greenhouse in the backyard. There were all sorts of a strange flowers blooming inside it.

Jiang Sheng held a flower in hands curiously. The hub inside it was in rainbow colors, which exuded an enchanting aroma.

“What kind of flower is this? And it has that strange color and aroma?” Jiang Sheng bent over and sniffed it.

But he didn’t pay much attention to it and stood up looking for Pei Siyan.

“That’s weird. There’s no one here?”

He walked around the greenhouse and didn’t see Pei Siyan at all. Jiang Sheng was bewildered then.

After checking for another round, he found a fish pond out there and he ran over immediately.

“I haven’t had grilled fish for a long time! Maybe I should call Xi Que to cook one for me.”

Jiang Sheng smacked his watering mouth and rolled his sleeves up to catch the fish inside it.

About an hour later, Pei Siyan and Bai Hao got downstairs while discussing something.

Pei Siyan asked, “Have you extracted it?”

Bai Hao replied while he went through the paperwork in his hands, “Yes, this batch of the magic fish is well fed and raised. We could sell them for one hundred million yuan or more and can make a lot of profit out of it. Plus, they can be extracted repeatedly, so we can definitely make a fortune.”

“That’s good.” Pei Siyan said calmly.

At the same time, Jiang Sheng who was in the dining room yelled at Pei Siyan, “Pei Siyan! Do you want some grilled fish? We made too much!”

‘Grilled fish?’

Pei Siyan and Bai Hao looked at each other in confusion.
