Chapter 83 - Santalune City

Sam and girls reached the Santalune city at night. Froakie and Ralts were also ready for their first gym battle. They went to the pokemon center and decided to rest in it for the night.

Next morning, they went to the Santalune gym. The gym leader, Viola was busy taking pictures of pokemon from different angles with a camera. Sam went near her and asked her, "Hello Viola, I am Sam and I came to challenge you for a gym battle."

Viola put down her camera and said to Sam, "I know you. I accept your challenge but I have a condition first."

"What condition?" Sam asked.

"I want to take pics of your pokemon. You are said to have all of your pokemon shiny, so you and your pokemon are famous among us photographers." Viola said.

"It's no problem but I don't have all my pokemon wth me right now. I only have Mewtwo and three new pokemon that I have caught in Kalos." Sam said.

"Are the new pokemon you have are all shiny ?" Viola asked.

"Yes, they are."

Sam threw four pokeballs in air and Mewtwo, Froakie and both the Ralts came out of them. Mewtwo levitated in air silently besides Sam. Froakie climbed up and sat on the shoulder of Sam and both the Ralts floated slightly in air on both sides of Sam using psychic energy.

As soon as Viola saw this, she started to take pictures like crazy. "Really, seeing is much more exciting then hearing about it." Viola kept changing positions and angles to keep taking pics.

After some time, Viola had taken a lot of pics and calmed down. She said, "Thanks for letting me take their pics, these pics will add a lot of flavor in my photo album. Now, shall we go to the field for gym battle."

"I was waiting for it." Sam said went to the challengers spot and stood there. Viola also took her place and waited for referee to announce the rules. Vivi and Serena went to viewer platform to watch the match.

Referee took his place and announced the rules, "Both challenger and gym leader can use two pokemon each. Challenger can replace pokemon during the battle while gym leader can't. The trainer whose pokemon fainted first will lose the match."

Viola threw a pokeball and Surskit came out on the field. Sam also threw pokeball and Ralts(female) came to the field.

Both the pokemon got ready and were looking at their opponent with fighting intent. Ralts has improved a lot following Sam's spartan training and was eager to test itself.

"Although I took a lot of pics of your pomemon but don't think I will go easy on you because of it." Viola said.

"Ralts, Confuse Ray." Sam ordered.

"Surskit, dodge and then Ice Beam." Viola countered.
