Chapter 38 - Knot Island

Vivi wanted to say that she was returning to Beauty Street. But she stopped at the last moment. She knew her chance to rise is coming but she is bit entangled whether to grasp it or not as she is older than Sam by five years.

In the end she looked at the handsome face of Sam and asked him instead, "Where are you going?"

"I am going to Knot island next to train and try my luck if I can find Moltres and challenge it." Sam replied.

"I am also going to Knot island." Vivi secretly forced the trace of guilt to the bottom of her heart.

"Then how about we travel together." Sam secretly rejoiced.

"Yes, sure." Vivi

For next two days Sam and Vivi shared their experience with each other and bonded deeply. Both Sam and Vivi at first approached each other with their own purposes but they forgot about this after spending two days with each other.

After three days sailing on the ship, they reached Knot island. Sam and Vivi stepped on the island and spent the whole day together relaxing. Sam trained his pokemons on the beach and also got to know about Vivi's pokemons. Vivi has a Vulpix, Clefairy and Eevee. All the Vivi's pokemons belong to the cute type.

The shiny appearance of Sam's pokemon created a similar commotion it caused on Seafoam island. The tourists came took a lot of pictures of his pokemons. After playing all day, they went back to the pokemon center and slept.

Next morning, Sam and Vivi moved towards the the central volcano present on the Knot island as this is place most likely to be Moltres residence.

Upon reaching a certain depth in the volcano, Sam called out Mewtwo and asked him to use psychic and find Moltres. Mewtwo spread his psychic towards the volcano and began searching.

Vivi saw the appearance of Mewtwo but couldn't find remember which pokemon it was. She asked, "Sam, what is this pokemon?" "Its called Mewtwo, a very rare pokemon. So I have kept it a secret from world that I own it otherwise I would not be able to protect it. Now there is no one here except us, so I called ut out to help us search for Moltres. Please keep him a secret with me."

Vivi got a bit happy because Sam shared a secret of his with her as it can be seen that Sam treated her as a close one.

Soon Mewtwo opened its eyes and guided Sam and Vivi through a weird path towards the depth of volcano. As they went downwards, the temperature kept rising. Soon they reached a open space at the bottom of the volcano.

Moltres, the bird of fire was lying there, soaking in lava. Sam had decided to fight Moltres with Mewtwo as ut has also reached the bottleneck of peak stage. Sometimes, Sam has to lament Mewtwo's innate talent as it grows stronger too fast but still its foundation is perfectly stable.

Sam and Moltres saw other. Moltres saw the fighting intent in Sam and Mewtwo's eyes and responded positively. It flew to the air and opposite Mewtwo also floated in air with the help of psychic.

Vivi knew that she could not participate in the next event so she went to the side so as not to be affected by the aftermath of battle. She called out Vulpix and said to it, "Look Vulpix you will benifit a lot watching this battle."

Sam also landed on a safe platform and got ready for incoming battle.
