Chapter 34 - Seafoam Island

After three days Sam boarded the ship going to Seafoam island. He first went to the Pokemon center and made a health checkup for his pokemons.

Seafoam is rare place for relaxing so Sam decided to relax along with his pokemons on the beach. He released Charizard, Draceon, Exeggutor, Kabuto and Gengar on the beach.

Seeing the apperance of so many shiny pokemons at once caused a small commotion on the beach. Many tourists came to take pictures with them. Sam instructed his pokemons to relax and cooperate with the tourists.

Sam lay down on a chair on the beach and let his pokemons play. In the evening he also did jet skiing near the beach. Sam spent next three days in the same way. He also asked Mew and Mewtwo to create a similar beach in the Small world.

After three days of relaxation, he called out a Lapras from his Small world and rode on its back to look for suitable opponents for training Kabuto as he is the weakest member in the current team. He also let Charizard fly in air to look for traces of a cold place as that is most likely the resident of Articuno.

Sam wants to find Articuno for two reasons. First of all is so that it can become sparing partner for Charizard as he has reached the bottleneck of peak stage. Second is that he wants to get the DNA sample of Articuno to clone it for his Small world.

Sam used Kabuto to battle many pokemons that he came across and Kabuto steadily got stronger. This continued for four days and Kabuto reached on the bottleneck of evolution. Kabuto's accumulation period would have been quite long as it combined bottleneck of top stage and evolution.

But Sam used a rare candy to provide energy required for evolution of Kabuto. As soon as Kabuto digested the rare candy, white glow of evolution surrounded it. It grew bigger in size and a solid armor covered its body. It grew two sharp sickles like blades on its hands. Its circular grew bigger and became triangular. Its cute red eyes from Kabuto period has changed sharp like a fierce predator.

After the glow dissipated, a green Kabutops was standing there. It roared towards sky to express it excitement on its evolution. Sam's rest of the pokemon came to congratulate Kabutops on evolution.

Sam saw stats of Kabutops and was deeply satisfied. He came near Kabutops and patted him on his head and said to him, "Congratulations Kabuto, no its Kabutops now."

After the celebration of evolution of Kabutops, Sam and pokemon resumed the search of Articuno's place.

After moving about 50 km left from the Seafoam island a small island was there. Sam landed on this island with his pokemons because Charizard found a cold place in the middle of the island. Most likely this island is the home of the Articuno.

He and his pokemons slowly moved towards the center of the island where the saw a blue bird lying there and resting. It was the was the snow bird Articuno. Articuno didn't react upon seeing the intruder in its home.

Sam called out to Articuno and said to it, [Articuno, I came here to challenge you woth my friend Charizard. I hope you can accept our challenge.] But Articuno ignored him.

Sam expected this as legendary pokemon have their own pride. Don't look at the legendaries listening to Sam's every order. They only act that way in front of Sam. If they appeared in front of someone else then they will show bone deep pride to him.

Sam then took out the Ten Thousand year old Nevermelt Ice and showed it to Articuno and said, "Battle with me. No matter whether I win or lose this Nevermelt Ice will belong to you." Sam got this piece of Nevermelt Ice from black market. It cost him a lot as he had to sold a lot of things from his backpack to collect enough money to buy it.
