Chapter 21 - Fuchsia Gym And Evolution

After one more week of sailing, Sam reached the Fuchsia city. He went to the pokemon center to restore the health of his pokemons.

Then he left the pokemon center and went to the black market disguising himself. He found some rare poison type plants and natural ingredients. He brought them them all to plant in his Small world.

Sam then returned to the pokemon center and went to his room. He then planted all the things he brought in the Small world. Then he brought his pokemons in the Small world and instructed them to get used to their increase in strength.

Sam spent the whole day training his pokemons. When the evening came all the pokemons were already proficient in using their powers.

Next morning Sam went to the nearby forest as he remembers that the gym is located in the forest. He slowly advanced forward through the forest passing the traps.

These traps are setup by Ayane, gym leader Koga's younger sister. These traps are also a test for trainers so Sam went through them without complaining.

Soon he reached the gym. It was a old fashioned house like building. Upon entering he saw Koga standing on the other side of the field. Ayane was in place of refree so Sam went to the place of challenger.

Ayane then began to tell the rules of the match. "Both the gym leader and challenger can use three pokemons each. Challenger can replace his pokemon during the match. The trainer whose pokemon first fainted will lose."

"I will send the first pokemon then, go Venonat." said Koga and sent Venonat on the field.

"Go, Charmeleon." Charmeleon is at the bottleneck of evolution so Sam let it battle more than his other pokemons to stimulate its evolution.

"Charmeleon, Flamethrower."

"Venonat, dodge."

"Charmeleon, use continuous Flamethrower."

"Come back, Venonat." Koga took back Venonat and then said to Sam, "You are stronger than I thought, since that is the case, get ready to face my next pokemon."

"Go, Golbat"

Moves - Absorb , Feint Attack , Gust , Hypnosis , Quick Attack , Supersonic , Astonish , Bite , Wing Attack , Confuse Ray , Air Cutter , Swift , Poison Fang , Mean Look

'The Golbat sent by Koga had brokenthrough the high stage. It would be a good opponent for Charmeleon.' Sam thought.

"Golbat use Poison Fang."

Golbat went forward at high speed and bite Charmeleon's left hand with poisonous energy on its fangs.

"Charmeleon, catch Golbat and don't let it go back." Charmeleon caught the Golbat with right hand held it towards the ground. Charmeleon grimaced as it was poisoned due to the Poison fang.

Golbat tried to struggle but Charmeleon held it tight and didn't let go. "Now Charmeleon, use continuous Thunder Punch to hit Golbat. Thunder flashed on the left hand of Charmeleon and then it slammed it towards the Golbat.

"Golbat get away from there." Koga ordered Golbat and Golbat struggled harder but Charmeleon held it tighter while punching it. After eating four Thunder Punches, Golbat fainted.

Charmeleon left Golbat and got on his knees as he tried from making continous attacks and the poison and flared out. But Sam didn't take it back as he can see through system that Charmeleon is only one step away from evolution.

"Your Charmeleon is really strong but do you still want to let it fight.?" "Yes" "Since that is the case then, go Nidoking."

A large bipedal purple pokemon came to the field. It roared as soon it cane to the field and looked towards Charmeleon proactively.

Level - 36

Items - Poison Barb

Moves - Leer , Peck , Endure , Poison Tail , Focus Energy , Double Kick , Poison Sting , Fury Attack , Horn Attack , Venoshock , Ice Beam , Smack Down , Helping Hand, Mega Horn , Chip Away , Brick Break

"This Nidoking, its strong. Charmeleon your opportunity is here."

"Charmeleon, use Iron Tail."

"Nidoking, use Brick Break."

Charmeleon's tail shone with metallic ŀuster and Nidoking's hand shone with while light. Both the tail and hand collided and rose a dust storm.

After the dust settled, Nidoking was there with only a few scratchs but Charmeleon was kneeling on ground with both his knees and hands. The last collision triggered the poison on Charmeleon again and now it is in dire state.

"Charmeleon you can do it. Stand up!"

Charmeleon stood up great difficulty and as soon as he stood up, the white glow of evolution shone on it. Charmeleon grew in size and two wings grew out of his back. The horn like protrusion on its head divided into two and its colour changed from golden to grey black. After the glow dissipated a mighty Charizard was standing there.
