"...What is the meaning of all this?" Xu Jiaqi didn't hesitate to change her stance immediately. She displayed a hostile look towards the deity who was laughing uncontrollably as she drank her wine in one gulp, some of it trickling down her lips. She wiped the residue off with her palm, crossing her arms right after.

"What do you mean? I'm just celebrating with you guys. Celebrating the return of my powers. Truly, you all were such great children. How innocent.. or should I say, trusting? Orchestrating all of this, fixing the world... I'll commend you for that. But it's time to end the play... The world sadly isn't yours." The Goddess approached Xu Jiaqi, pinching the latter's chin and tugging it upwards with force.

The other two men were visibly shocked by the change of situation. They looked at the Goddess in disbelief. Particularly, Zenith had an enraged look to him. The lady he strove to protect was at this deity's mercy.

She shouldn't be like that. He wanted to shout his mind out loud, rescue her from the deity's clutches.

She should be someone who stood above others. She deserved that treatment, not something like this.

"Congratulations. I will be taking back the controls from you. You must think that you are some bigshot or whatever, but did you really think that just because you are a transmigrator, you would be able to step over my authority? That is simply impossible for you current puny state." The Goddess smirked as she landed a heavy slap on Xu Jiaqi.

Despite being frozen, Xu Jiaqi felt the full extent of the pain. The Goddess used her real powers on that blow.

Xu Jiaqi stayed calm as she analyzed the event. Zenith freaked out considerably, and his eyes were directed towards the deity. This meant that the Goddess had probably shown herself in physical form towards the man. The Goddess said that it required a high amount of strength, but as long as she continued to recover, she would finally be able to appear in front of the entirety of mankind at her prime state.

Was the Goddess at her prime state right now?

"..Really, it irks me. You are very confident. Perhaps arrogant. And I don't like children who think like you." The Goddess landed another slap. "I must say, you are smart. A prodigy. But in front of pure power, in front of the highest being of this realm, you are still rendered powerless, are you not? I recognize the desire in your eyes. The desire to control everything around you."

"What on Earth are you- ah!" Xu Jiaqi received another blow. This time, the deity used internal force. It made Xu Jiaqi cough up blood and choke in pain.

The Goddess emotionlessly looked to the side, where the Cardinal was kneeling down at. The heavy pressure that was applied to them made even Xu Jiaqi cower. Not to mention Ezra, who was weaker than her.

Without saying a single word, the Goddess stretched out her hand and firmly gripped the man's neck. Bringing him upwards.

"What is your motive for this?! Ezra- That man loves you! I am also able to provide you with a way for you two to be together!" Xu Jiaqi's breath hitched as she watched the man she had led be choked in the air. Strings of Holy power escaped Ezra's body as he winced in excruciating pain.

[Host! Host! Get yourself together! That Goddess is a psychotic woman! She is extracting the Holy power from Ezra's body! At this rate.. Ezra will die. Along with his powers, his life force is also being sucked. I don't know- I don't know what her motives are, but she is dangerous news, I say!] The System frantically spoke.

'I can tell, I have eyes. I can't escape from her clutches. Is there something I could do at this point?' Xu Jiaqi didn't think that she would be pushed to such a point. She wasn't majorly affected by it, because she knew that her mission was done by this point. Her only question was, why? Why did the Goddess do this?

"..And who said I loved Ezra?" The Goddess chuckled darkly. "You know.. It's actually a pretty good ironical situation. My relationship with Ezra is similar to the one you have with your knight over there. When I said I was fond of the child.. It was because he served a special purpose for me. From when he was first born.. did you think that he already possessed his talents? I was involved in his creation. It was all to stabilize my powers, because I kept.. weakening, and weakening. No matter what I did, it was futile. These useless, filthy humans- they forgot about my true self, and their faith was nowhere to be seen.. They prayed for me to save them, but they didn't want to save themselves. They wanted me, who they selfishly portrayed as a benevolent deity to save them." The Goddess clenched her hold on Ezra, feeling the streams of power flow back to her.

"Ezra Lancaster has a part of my power. I just need to withdraw the parts I gave him, and I will finally be complete! I will be... I will be able to ascend into the Higher Realms again. I'll take my sweet revenge on those who wronged me- Ah, right. Hey, transmigrator, do you know who I am? I wasn't assigned to this place, everything I told you about my background were lies... I am someone who was kicked out of the Heavenly Realm because of my deeds."

"...I see." Xu Jiaqi was left a bit speechless, but she was planning to leave this world sooner or later anyway. This outcome made her baffled, but not angered since her job was done.

The Goddess took her response as a hopeless human who gave up to her fate, making her laughter escalate further.

Manipulating everybody they could see. Aren't you a clever bitch. Too bad.. your opponent this time is me. This is my world, and the powers you have belong to me.
