What kind of name is that? How long!

Glazelle Silvia Viennel Jean-Luc Quinnard.

That type of long, obnoxious name, with the same characteristics as a certain male lead... Correct. Glazelle Quinnard was no one else but...

A literal princess of the Empire.

It was widely known that the Empire and the Holy Land was like fire and water. Two sides of a coin. They could never meet each other on a stable point.

To break this balance off, Glazelle was the first princess to be sent as a Saintess candidate. The Emperor's desire for approving this trade was unknown, but why send his daughter if it wasn't for acquiring the Saintess position?

Glazelle Quinnard was currently standing quite arrogantly, her head raised high. She was one of the few who refused to have any contact with Serenia Aubellin earlier. The girl believed that she was sent here to fulfill one purpose, and that was to snatch the position away and make her father proud with her results. She need not mingle with these candidates.

Being backed up by the Imperial family, who dared to steal the position away from her? More like, who could do that?

Of course, Ariel didn't know how she turned out to be in the original story after the fact that the Saintess that was chosen turned out to be Serenia. She thought that she had the utmost backing of the empire, but it was probably just a little experiment by the Emperor, not meaning much of it.

Glazelle did have strong powers. However, she was too occupied with the thought of being clean and above the others. Humility was not a word in her dictionary. She was born and raised as a princess, having manners drilled down to her and the understanding of a royalty imprinted on her heart.

Thus, although her Holy aptitude was quite great, she ended up placing fourth on this first trial because she wouldn't be able to channel the Holy light a lot.

Xu Jiaqi had asked the Goddess about this topic. She had never instructed the humans to use this kind of method for a trial, but she did interfere in the results each candidate will get after seeing how much the humans believed that this method would work.

The prayer didn't matter.

What mattered was one's aptitude and their thoughts.

Thus, there was a secret to solving this Holy power predicament.

People thought that as long as they served the Goddess, they would be blessed with power.

But in truth, you didn't even need to utter a prayer because the Goddess didn't stay to hear them.

You just need to brainwash yourself that you are nothing but the Goddess' sheep.

In the words of Goddess Eula: "I quite like to be praised, so let them sing songs of praise towards me and nothing else. They decided to use me to their liking, so isn't it natural that their powers should only come when they admit that they are below me?"

Knowing this, Xu Jiaqi was sure that she would be able to win.

Because she and her System had prepared the secret weapon.

A script that was full with nothing but the holiest of words meant to be aimed towards Goddess Eula. Even without the Goddess' help for her favors, Xu Jiaqi was sure that her thoughts itself would be enough to make the statue shine bright.

Of course, the Goddess' powers would also amplify this effect.

Her turn soon came after the rows of other candidates that have tried their luck, offering their prayers with the best of their efforts. Some turned out great, and the others could only light up parts of the statue, not even covering half of it.

Serenia was quite formidable and did live up to her honor as the female lead. She was able to light up almost every part of the statue with a decent luminosity, and was able to earn the subtle wows from the crowd.

The other candidate who stood out was a plain girl named Heidi, who basically did what Serenia achieved, but with lesser magnitude.

Xu Jiaqi was unexpectedly the last to come up.

It just so happened that she planned to steal the show. She would give the perfect ending to this farce.

With a calm smile, she stepped up to the altar and faced the statue.

No sound came out of her unlike the other candidates.

She sat there calmly. Looking at the Goddess' face with confidence in her eyes.

...

My omnipotent Goddess..

Please guide this lost sheep of yours and bestow me your grace...

For I am nothing but a weak and hopeless little one in front of your presence...

...

"I made the key to obtaining the victory to be lowering yourself as much as possible!"

The Goddess felt cheated that her name was being used everywhere, so she wanted them to realize how dirty and low they are. That is why, the correct prayer was nonexistent, and all that should exist was just a mouth that worked like a God-tier salaryman's. Praise her until your throat bled.

Xu Jiaqi focused on letting the System arrange her thoughts for her, and she only had to sit back and relax. The script was read out loud in her heart, and the statue began to react.

LIght.

The light was simply blinding. The room instantly heated up because of the sheer brightness and energy that was coming out of it. The huge building was instantly illuminated, and some rays even fought to escape the enclosed place.

There were literal sparkles surrounding Xu Jiaqi as she opened her eyes and stood up.

Her hair floated in the air, as if a massive turbulence was behind her when there was no wind at all. Xu Jiaqi got up from her praying position.

Unbeknownst to her, the Goddess was playful and decided to modify her appearance to her liking.

The most beautiful human. Would the world beautiful be worthy to describe the current Xu Jiaqi?

An impossible beauty. Crafted by the hands of the Goddess herself.

She was the embodiment of light, the Goddess' religion.

As if telling the rest of the candidates that there was no longer a need to compete.

That she alone, Ariel Maine, was the Saintess that should be wearing the Holy Crown and Sceptre as proof of her status. No one could shine as bright as herself.

She was the one, the brightest of them all, the Chosen One.
