"Is there a way for me to predict what Bai Mengxue will be doing ahead of time? I know that you don't have any surveillance, but I want it to be more like a... investigation through communication devices, or something like that. Do you think you can track down this unknown backer's number through Bai Mengxue and spy on them?"

Xu Jiaqi left the entity to his task as she proceeded to move in her own pace. Almost the entirety of the Xu business got cleaned up and had no more poisonous strikes inside them. Each individual was put to work by the System and tested for any strangeness. When he found an anomaly, it would be reported to Xu Jiaqi and taken care of by her legal team, supported by the fact that Xu Zheng himself had given permission for Xu Jiaqi to do what she wishes and wreak havoc.

This made the people in the business circle think that Xu Zheng's reign was about to be over, and the seat will be handed to Xu Jiaqi straight away. This would explain why Xu Jiaqi was on a roll trying to clean everything up without leaving anybody dirty unwashed.

Murmurs and rumors started circulating around the entire place as they discussed what should be done on their own parts as well. A big company's change affected the entire circle as a whole. If the Xu company wanted to make a great change, then the others needed to make adjustments to the movement.

Everyone was heavily expectant on every single move coming from Xu Jiaqi, and a lot of eyes were constantly on her.

Xu Jiaqi, on the other hand, was completely relaxed and calm. She knew that Xu Zheng did in fact, start to prepare the transfer of power to Xu Jiaqi ever since she proved that she was more than capable at handling the toxic bases in the circle. She was an expert at cleaning, and her father felt touched at her gestures.

Thus, behind Xu Jiaqi's back, Xu Zheng began to initialize putting Xu Jiaqi's name in some of the projects that was set to be dormant at least for a year or so. He predicted that it would take less than a year for Xu Jiaqi to ascend and take his position, so he prepared ahead of time for the projects to be given to her. These movements were detected by the System and reported, so Xu Jiaqi was actually aware of all the things that was happening.

Other than wanting to push Xu Jiaqi ahead, he was also motivated by the fact that he was growing older, and, mind this- he did not wish to work as hard anymore. Although he was the big boss, and that his working hours were determined by him, he no longer wished to stay at the damned company any longer and have to decrease the time he spent with his lovely wife who was waiting at home.

He wanted to relieve his duties and stick to Li Jiayun, pamper her, love her, and do a lot of things before he passed away. He knew that a human's lifetime was limited and that he would have to separate from this beloved wife of his one day, whether it was because of a natural or unnatural death.

Thus, he wanted to treasure the time that they could be together as much as possible. He did not want for the time he had left to be wasted on the company.

Since Xu Jiaqi was wiling to take the job, then he was more than happy to rescind his power and authority.

As Xu Jiaqi furthered her career, her relationship also got better and better.

On a fateful night, when they had a date night , Qin Zicheng had actually been planning for a big surprise. After they finished dining, they talked for a while. Qin Zicheng drove them to a beautiful bridge, staring at the night sky as Qin Zicheng began to kneel and take out a ring box.

There was a clear romantic innuendo clipped on the scene.

Inside was an exquisite diamond ring that was exclusively crafted for Xu Jiaqi, so there was no other replicas of this in the world. It was made by a famous designer that was known to not accept any orders unless he wanted to, and the sweet couple happened to be his first customers after a long while.

There were a pair of identical, yet intricately different jewelry. One had Xu Jiaqi's name engraved on it, the other had Qin Zicheng's name. They were meant to be exchanged and worn by the other, so the ring that was given to Xu Jiaqi had Qin Zicheng's name on it.

The other part of the pair? It had long been out. Qin Zicheng had been wearing this conspicuous ring out in the public throughout their entire date. Perhaps it was due to his excitement, the ring with Xu Jiaqi's name was already snugly fitted on his ring finger.

Qin Zicheng was bad at planning. Unless he meant for this to happen and he was just declaring that there was no was Xu Jiaqi would refuse, and the fact that he wore his ring proudly was a sign of his confidence.

"Xu Jiaqi.. are you willing to accept this ring as proof of my love?" Qin Zicheng asked.

"I don't need rings. As long as Zicheng ge is with me.. I will be alright. Am I wrong?" Xu Jiaqi smiled sweetly as she took the ring from the box and gave it to Qin Zicheng, gesturing for him to put it on her finger.

Qin Zicheng was ecstatic as he slid the gorgeous accessory down to Xu Jiaqi's ring finger, his breath shaky as he was overwhelmed with emotions.

The funny thing was, Xu Jiaqi had also planned for a tease for this moment. Since she knew from her System that Qin Zicheng would soon propose, she had prepared her own set of rings to do a double proposal.

After Qin Zicheng got up, it was Xu Jiaqi's turn to get down, and proposed to him as well. Qin Zicheng was taken aback, yet amused. He hurriedly accepted the offer and supported Xu Jiaqi back up, sealing their promises with a loving, passionate kiss.

Further closure was done. 

Then, on an auspicious date calculated by a Chinese fortune expert, Xu Jiaqi and Qin Zicheng's marriage was set to be held.
