"Q-qiqi? What is this all about..?" Tang Yizhou couldn't lie and say that he didn't enjoy the woman's approach, but he was still mildly taken aback.

"If I'm going to be your partner, then Yixiu is going to be my relative in the future. I should take care of him too as part of my responsibility. Besides, if you're going to stay like this and keep everything stagnant, push Yixiu away from you, then your relationship is only going to get worse. Do you want to lose him from your life?"

"No!! Obviously not." Tang Yizhou furrowed his brows and denied with all his might.

Even though Tang Yizhou might come off as a cold person, he actually had a warm and caring soul within himself. He had a mindset that only allowed him to be the best version of himself, which was what spurred him to be able to work so hard continuously to no end.

However, expressing emotions was still something that was relatively difficult for him. As such, even though the pair of Tang siblings knew that they adored each other, it was still sort of hard for them to come together and have a proper chat without their shortcomings hindering them.

For Tang Yizhou, it was hard for him to catch up and talk with the boy in a heart-to-heart fashion, because he had always feared how the boy would react towards someone like him, who had hurt the other multiple times in the past with his selfish actions.

For Tang Yixiu, it was closer to a sense of inferiority towards his older brother from how brilliant the other was in comparison to himself. Even though he was also a respectable human being who was acclaimed as a genius by many in his peers, he still harbored a sense of shame, sadness, and remorse whenever he thought of the things Tang Yizhou had to go through to raise him by his own, to the point of sacrificing his own youth.

He had always thought that he didn't deserve a speck of success from what Tang Yizhou brought home, because he did nothing but trouble the other and couldn't even match up to him. Of course, it was all in his mind. To others, this pair of siblings was just simply a blessed duo in every single field.

Even so, because they had gone for so many years without being able to interact properly and understand each other to the core, their relationship had became somewhat stranded as time passed.

Xu Jiaqi smiled after she saw how big of a reaction Tang Yizhou gave to her simple question.

"That's it. Use that same motivation to once again try to approach him. Above all, Yixiu should be the one who is most familiar with your condition at that time. He is also the one and only relative you possess.. Remembering your previous relationship, it would be the biggest shame if you lost him. Yixiu is a good kid. You have such a good family member, treasure him well, please. I'll help you with it as well, but the important tasks will have to be done by you, no one else but yourself."

Xu Jiaqi looked at the man with melancholic eyes, holding traces of sadness within them that stirred Tang Yizhou's heart.

Tang Yizhou thought for a few seconds, trying to figure out how the woman managed to muster this type of feelings just due to the topic they were discussing. He didn't think that Xu Jiaqi would be this distressed over his matters. Soon after, it clicked inside his head. The catalyst of her emotions.

Her past, everything she had lost in her life. The current her was strong and had a vibrant aura that charmed him every single time he was in her presence, but behind that was still the same Xu Jiaqi who had been severely harmed.

"Qiqi, once we become family, you will have relatives to look for.. Ah! But my only relative is Yixiu.." Tang Yizhou hurriedly tried to console her upon seeing her expression turn for the worse, but then realized that he was also someone who lost his parents.

Xu Jiaqi grinned and leaned her head against the man, humming in acknowledgement.

"H-how about you, Qiqi? Are you not applying to an institution? Just say the name of one you like, I will make sure that you get in." Tang Yizhou tried to divert the topic, and questioned partly based on his own curiosity as well.

If Xu Jiaqi planned to go to a university, then would she leave him behind for her studies once she got admitted to an institution based overseas? Even if it would only be for a few years, and they could still meet from time to time within those years, it still made his heart stuffy when he thought about her being so far away from him.

However, above all, he wanted Xu Jiaqi to be happy, happier than anybody else in this world. Whatever she wished for, he had already sworn inside his heart that he would make sure the wish gets fulfilled at all costs, even if it meant using everything he had in exchange for it.

Xu Jiaqi blinked her eyes a couple times.

This man.. was openly voicing out his desire to cheat.

Xu Jiaqi was not a hypocrite, she wouldn't say that she won't use the power she had to cheat, or that she had never done such a thing in the past. It was obvious that she didn't have the cleanest history. This was also what made her not fully complacent and act like a true hero in situations. Because she truly wasn't one.

She was a morally grey person, who knew who to treasure and who to take as an enemy, and how she treated both groups in a different, yet similar way.

"You're trying to escape the topic, but don't think that I will let it go. We'll definitely find time to bother Yixiu and mend your relations." Xu Jiaqi palmed her face. "Also, Yizhou, you saying all of that, do you mean to say that you don't believe in my own potential? Am I that unworthy in your eyes, to the point where I have to cheat to make it?"

The way Tang Yizhou worded it was indeed a bit unsettling.

"What? No, no, no. You're misunderstanding, Qiqi." Tang Yizhou shook his head and pursed his lips. "I meant that.. you're worried about Yixiu, but what about you..?"

"I don't plan on pursuing higher education. Yizhou, don't you think that I'm really great at making money even without a degree?" Xu Jiaqi laughed. What else could she want to learn? All of the essential skills she needed, she already possessed. Not from this world, but from a few worlds ago.

The process was the exact same.

Learning new things, she did want to do it, but it wasn't something as major as having to get a degree. If she took an interest in something, she would go and learn it in her free time, rather than spending time in an institution for years.

Besides, a degree was not necessary by all means in her eyes.

"That's good.." Tang Yizhou unconsciously let out a sigh of relief, finally freed from his negative thoughts of Xu Jiaqi leaving. Honestly, seeing where they were right now, how would he bear the separation?

"Ao, you're saying that it's a good thing?" Xu Jiaqi pinched the tip of his tall nose. "You're so enthusiastic at the thought of me not getting education."

"Of course, if you want to learn, then I will let you learn.. it's just that I'll be extremely saddened if you part ways with me, Qiqi." He pouted.

"How spoiled," Xu Jiaqi giggled, her hands getting wilder by each second, traveling across Tang Yizhou's skin.

"Qiqi.. it's still early. Shouldn't we go and settle your legal matters first..? The Zhao family-" Tang Yizhou was about to try and remind her of their pressing matters, but the woman raised her index finger and pressed it against the man's lips.

"Tang Yizhou, do you know a saying called broad daylight robbery? I'm going to commit one right here and now, this expert thief will steal your time. By the time you snap out of it, it'll be night time. Come tell me, who can stop me from doing so?" Xu Jiaqi teased.

She got up from her position and sat on top of Tang Yizhou's lap. His legs, which were pinned down by her began to unfurl from their folded position, the man finding it hard to hold back.

"..How can someone stop you?" Tang Yizhou gently smiled, leaning in for a gentle kiss with the woman.

"Then.. brother Tang, should we get drunk in debauchery and sink in to become degenerates?"

"If that's what my love wishes for, then it shall become reality." Tang Yizhou's small bits of laughter rang.

The two laced their fingers, and didn't take a long time to fiddle around before they were completely undressed, nothing separating their skins from touching and being intimate.

In tune with each other, creating special harmonies that no one else could recreate.
