Chapter 209 - 4.35

Maybe it was the effects of knowing that she was protected by the System's laws, and was free to float around many worlds to come, and not just the ones she had gone through? Maybe that instilled confidence into her. Made her comfortable with her current situation.

When, in fact, she was just a random soul fleeting within the thin webs of time and space. Floating around with no real goal.

What was her goal again? Why was she doing this? In order to live a day longer?

Anyway, she still took off her clothes in a seductive manner, as if opening her own strip tease session. Her only customer being Tang Yizhou. The man, if not for preserving his last bits of honor, perhaps would've salivated openly at the display.

A private moment with the man whose lap she was sitting on now. It was rather.. appealing. Like they had talked about back in the office, the suite they were in had transparent windows. Which, if peered upon from the outside, would not show what was inside. It was a one way glass, but the transparency of it was so clear that when you stood by the wide window panels, it would feel as if there was nothing separating you and what was behind the glass.

The city view during night time was spectacular. Tall buildings, bright lights.. even though it was closer to midnight than it was to the sunset, the city seemed to be just as alive as it was in the day. People frolicking about, scattering around and having their own matters to deal with. 

Having the ability to look over this scenery while enjoying their own sensual moments was a fascinating experience. It had a beautiful intonation to it, a shared moment that was just as pure as it was filthy.

Xu Jiaqi's dress draped over her delicate figure loosely, and exposed her top half of the body.

Her pink nipples were already perked up from the sheer cold breeze that passed through them from time to time. Their skin touched, playful kisses and bites starting to ensue, still waiting for the day to reach midnight and mark down Xu Jiaqi's entry to adulthood.

Time seemed to pass by so slowly. It was both to their liking, but also made them loathe it.

Even if Tang Yizhou didn't want to seem too indecent, he couldn't help but ogle her body for a few seconds, entranced at the sight presented to him. It was a work of art, indeed. Not a single blemish was present, her skin was supple and without any imperfections.

The fact that she stayed inside the hospital for years, not having to do anything at all damaged her stamina, but in return, her body was never exposed to any danger except for the original soul struggling with her mental issues.

Tang Yizhou treated Xu Jiaqi like a glass sculpture, afraid that his touch would make the treasure crumble down into pieces. He felt like a wolf who was about to dine in on a pitiful rabbit, a weak and lovable creature about to be gulped down by a vile monster.

In reality, who was the real wolf?

In Tang Yizhou's eyes, Xu Jiaqi was perfect at all levels. But from Xu Jiaqi's perspective, she was the one who was about to prey on this man.

"Should we get in the bath first? There's still some time.. We came here too early. We planned to eat dinner first, but we ended up like this. I don't know whether to be happy or not." Xu Jiaqi chuckled, running her fingers through the other's thick, black strands of hair.

"Whatever you want, milady." Tang Yizhou nuzzled his nose up to Xu Jiaqi's own, giggling back and taking her up into a bridal carry position.

The bath was also located near the open window. It was to further enunciate the feeling of openness and freedom, almost like supporting the notion of voyeurism for brave and curious souls. The windows could be overlaid with shadows with just one single press of a button, so one could hide the view easily.

Luckily, the bath's size was large enough to accommodate both of them entering. It was a jacuzzi meant to be indoors, and there were products neatly lined up next to the bathing compartment ready to be used.

Xu Jiaqi got off Tang Yizhou's carry and turned on the water source, making the temperature hot. She playfully looked around the products.

"There's not much. You don't use this place.. It's such a waste. Who knows since when these babies were left here to rot for?" Xu Jiaqi made a small pout. There was a tub filled with rose petals that had all withered and crumpled up into dried pieces. The scent was still rather fragrant, but the display was not as great to look at.

"Do you want this place? I could transfer it into your possession if you wanted to." Tang Yizhou offered, wanting nothing but the woman's happiness to be realized. She had always rejected large scaled gifts from him, too.

No matter how hard he tried to offer her an expensive gift, she would always refuse it and even rebuke him for trying to do so in the first place. It was soon to be her birthday, but when he asked about her present a while ago, Xu Jiaqi only shook her head lightly and shamelessly said that he was the perfect present, and that she desired nothing more.

How could he be satisfied with that? He wanted to spoil the woman, but she didn't let him and instead tried to spoil him back. He was happy, but at the same time, it did vex him a bit.

"Wouldn't it be better if we.. just moved in together? Or do you not want that?" Xu Jiaqi decided to bring the matter up.

Her following as a streamer was now relatively large, and although she hadn't reached the platform she desired, it was about time she started to reveal clues about herself and expose those who had harmed the original in the past. It was time for action.

And in order to fully execute everything, Tang Yizhou's existence would be a massive help that she could appreciate with her whole heart.

"..If you want to move in together, then I better look for a house that suits us best.. Tell me, what kind of features do you want? I'll prepare it all, exactly to your wishes." Tang Yizhou couldn't fully restrain his excitement when Xu Jiaqi brought this matter up.

It made him ecstatic, his heart pumping fast at the thought of sharing the same living quarters as her, waking up to her presence being right beside him each day and obviously spending a lot more time together.

It would be such a beautiful idea.

"Tang Yizhou, you really are too kind to me. How could you be so selfless?" Xu Jiaqi pinched his left cheek with light power. "You're being too generous. What if I bail on you one day? What if we don't get along in the future? The house will just become  a place to store painful memories."

"How mean of you, Qiqi. How can you insinuate such a sad thing right in front of me?" Tang Yizhou pretended to complain.

"Ao! But I'm telling the truth, right? No one would know.. what happens in the future. Maybe, both of us will find a partner that suits us better, maybe we will stick with each other forever." Xu Jiaqi tickled her fingers around Tang Yizhou's neck, making him shudder slightly. "Can you really ensure something from not happening? If, one day, I was to disappear, then.. What else can you do except for accepting that fate with an open heart?"

"Qiqi!" Tang Yizhou was starting to become uncomfortable with the topic. It made his anxiety, the feeling of possibly losing his beloved spike up and create a pang in his heart that was hard to ignore. It reminded him of how out of reach his partner truly was, and how associating himself with her was truthfully not that good of an idea. A proposal that, as Xu Jiaqi had mentioned, might come to bite him in the back in the future. 

But he dared to take that risk, he didn't mind all the repercussions that might result from it. One could say that he was foolish, but he still wanted to hold his stance up high no matter how they turned out. 

That's why, he disagreed with Xu Jiaqi's statement. He would never regret the outcome of it all.

"..Of course, that's all just 'what ifs'. You treat me very well. Why would I leave you behind, hm?" Xu Jiaqi sighed. 

The water was ready by the time an awkward silence covered them.

"Come, let's get inside the bath." Xu Jiaqi fully undressed, not a shred of shame present in her gestures as she took off her robes and dipped her dainty feet inside the bath before lowering her entire body inside of it.. A moan of pleasure escaped her mouth, the hot temperature, making all the fatigue inside her body leave and perish for good.
